Message me your address and I'll mail you a CD.... This is original material. Not Priest...  The CD was actually done on Cubase software but mastered at a studio nearby so it sounds better than both of the Priest recordings....

Hey! An answer! Kewl.

Personally, I don't think this thread should die as it is one of the greatest tributes to Priest that I have ever seen. All JP.com driven. Newbies should get these two albums, IMO.

I've always said that I thought the original to be a masterful mix. I still think so. Love to hear the new stuff. Hook a non Facebook metal maniac up!

That would be the inexperienced.....THEN....dude on the mixer/processing or ME for short.  There were very evident fuckups all thru-out that whole recording.  Didnt know shit at that time.  I'm all PRO TOOLS now!!!  You should check out my CD...

Oh and DAMN Murray.... Ida thought you would have killed this thread ages ago.....

Ok, since I can't ask Priest and expect any answers, I ask the Faithful Defenders!
"Raw Steel' / "Rapid Fire" - I was mowing the lawn the other day (riding mower with music in my ears) and heard yet again the error on the verse: "the slipping and..." (mute) that picks up only on "sliding..corrosive subsiding."

Now who messed that up? Singer (yes) or mixer? LOL! What the hell happened? Behind the Music wants to know.

lol! Yeah actually I still need my second copy of "Raw Steel" as I dropped my other one on the cement and cracked it!  So I'm still waiting for another one Freeze!!! lol!

Thanks, Joe. I was just about to resurrect this thread and say that I really appreciated Raw Steel yesterday. Mile 9 with 3.+ to go and I flipped on Faithful to crank out the 12+ miles to make my goal.

Forged was certainly icing on the cake. Certainly helps heavy legs in hour two. Un aplauso to all involved.

Freeze, I'm pretty sure I was the last one to get my copy of the album. It rocks!

And was so worth the wait.

Yes, history and camaraderi was forged and the passion and effort that went into the album, for us, your fans and friends makes it so special.

A big thank you to all of you who spent so much of your time creating this piece of work. And to Guido who did such wicked art work!

This will be a very proud album to put in my collection and to blast from any speakers available..

Rock on Defenders Rock on!

Well, I lost the thread (interpret this as "am too lazy to keep looking for it") where someone asked for input on the "A Touch of Evil" cover ==> Yeah, THAT sucker over there on the right if your screen is too small and word-wraps.==>

You aren't going to believe it but when I had first agreed to do the art for the Faithful Defenders, I was toying with the idea of making a giant planet / exploding star as can be seen below. This is datestamped 2008 and was rendered using an addon pack for a video game. I was leaning to using the upper-left and wrapping FD and Forged Steel around the planet at a slant.

I only toyed a bit with the idea and ultimately threw it out because I wanted to go for a more "traditional" Priest look. Too funny....(or freaky, as the case may be).

Okay, vack from the holidays and straight to important matters!

I received a certain package in the mail while I was away, had to go fetch it at the post office, and within was the CD made by Priest Maniacs for other Priest Maniacs.

Hell yeah, it rocks, mates! Some songs were pulled off better than others but that's life! What's a fact is that all of them are competent, top notch covers of the Priest classics, even if Between the Hammer and the Anvil and Never Satisfied would seem a bit challenging vocally. Interestingly, the first is my least favourite cover on the Cd and the latter one of the favourite along with Judas Rising and Wheels of Fire.

Keep up the GREAT work guys!

Rock Hard Ride Free, cause we're all Hell Bent For Leather!

As I've mentioned before, the CD was well worth the wait!!!  An outstanding effort by everyone involved!!!  This truly was a gift that has been and will continue to be appreciated for years to come.  My daughter loves it as well, though she's partial to Turbo Lover, much to my dismay   Thank you!!!

I too would like to echo the sentiments below and thank the members of FD for their outstanding efforts.  you have advanced the cause of this board, metal and priest to a lot of people.  well done.

[Bev] Tuesday, July 28, 2009 5:33:34 AM
I'd like to thank the owl that delivered a copy to me.  Haven't had a chance to give it a listen 'cause I haven't been to the beach in a while ; )  But I will echo the sentiments that because it was forged from the membership ... it is a genuine tribute to the 'Gods
My best to all, in whatever your futures brings.

So, does that mean the Faithful Defenders are done? If so, well then...let me say a word or three.

All those involved, past and present, in making the music (playing an instrument or singing), recording, doing the art, distributing, etc. should give themselves a pat in the back. It's no easy feat playing music that pays proper tribute to the Metal Gods to begin with...but with the support of everyone in this site past and present, as well as support from friends and family, now there are two albums that show the dedication, effort, and love for Judas Priest that only a group of hardcore JP fans (such as FD and co.) can create. And quite frankly, they are great works of art. Thanks alot to all of you for giving us these CDs and for giving us a chance to hear Judas Priest's music played in a style well-deserving of praise. GO FAITHFUL DEFENDERS!!

...And yes Guido. That bag that DF had on the day he arrived in Detroit was a man purse.
