OK, I have been listening to both bands for a long time now and they both rock. I have seen them both in concert and they both put on an amazing show.
But what really does it for me is this. When I put on a Judas Priest album, any one at all, I can listen to it from start to finish and like every song. There are not many bands that will do that for me. Some albums I like only a couple of songs. Other albums I would like the whole album, but there might be a couple of songs that don't do it for me. And for me that is Iron Maiden. I like there stuff but not all of it.
Judas Priest is different. I can listen to any album in its entirety and like every song. When Nostradamus came out I almost wished that they would have played that whole album live when they did that tour.
Thing is, it does not matter what they play. I would stay in front of the stage all night long listening to their music if they would perform. So my vote is Judas Priest all the way.

I´m a big fan of both, though I´ve been a Maiden fan longer. 
It sucks that one have to be a fan club member to be a part of their messageboard nowadays, I always had a good time while hanging on there.  |

Maiden keep on repeating themselves a bit too much .(like ac~dc)
Priest's music is much more varied.
Live in concert: Maiden use too many attributes to impress, which Priest do not need to give us a great show!
Iron Maiden are good, but Judas Priest are better!

Iron Maiden's last few albums have become a bit stale!!! They haven't evolved as well as Judas Priest have over the last decade or so!!! So for me It's Priest over Maiden any day. Although I have to say that Maiden's concept album Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son does give Nostradamus a run for it's money.

Halford is the METAL GOD - Dickinson can't sing live.
Tipton/Downing are the best duo in metal - Murray looks like a shoesalesman/Gere (or whatever his name is) is worthless/Smith is great.
Ian Hill is a solid bass player/Harris is more a lead bass guitarist.
Travis is METAL, powerful - McBrain is only great.
So for me it's Priest all the way.

| Iron Maiden doesn't deserve your respect, they've already got it? You acknowledge their music and compare it to Priest. That alone tells me and anyone with half a brain that you respect them? Ahhh hahaha, Maiden finished? With almost no radio play, and in the shadows, and a footstep behind legends like Priest and Sabbath i think they have solidified they're place in history with their own style of metal music. If your music is dead and nobody's listen or buy your albums or attending your concerts then i'd say they were done. I don't think their done, so our opinions differ.
