If the Ripper era didnt exist, I want my 12 years back, or at least a refund on those CD's and DVD's
I want to keep the discs themselfs though, the music is good, but I shouldnt have to pay for it. |

You know, I remember all of that, and I was more than a little upset about those comments (mostly from Glenn and Ian)...I don't know if they were trying to rally around their new mate or what, but that was way out of line...I think that may be a lot of the reason those 2 albums tanked like they did,,,didn't KK say something to the effect that he believed that if the 'Ripper' led Priest would have been a new band with a different name they would have been great??...maybe the rest of the band should have took his advice!!! I love priest with all my heart but some times they can annoy me like when ripper first joined they said stuff like were has ripper been all our lives & the songs have never sounded better & Rob started to loose it towards the end so now the songs sound rite again.
& now they pretend he was never even in the band.
Dont get me wrong though im still 1000000% glad robs back, it just annoys me sometimes. |

Wow. This setlist even surpasses my expectations:
JUDAS RISING
HELLRIDER
BETWEEN THE HAMMER & THE ANVIL
RIDING ON THE WIND
DEATH
BEYOND THE REALMS OF DEATH
DISSIDENT AGGRESSOR
A TOUCH OF EVIL
EAT ME ALIVE
PROPHECY
PAINKILLER
I was seriously expecting to see the usual greatest hits setlist. I was hoping to see Metal Gods (I love it how they play it so slow and heavy now) but I really can't complain. Priest doesn't hesitate to deliver for their diehard fans, and I'm happy they delivered again. Edited at: Monday, May 25, 2009 12:36:04 AM |

Unreleased on a live album (especially with Rob):
Painkiller
Devil's child
Eat me alive
Ram it down
You don't have to be old to be wise
Steeler
Rapid fire
Hellrider
Deal with the devil
Between the hammer and the anvil
All guns blazing |

The ideal "Touch of Evil" setlist:
Dawn of Creation/Prophecy
Metal Gods
Breaking the Law
Devil's Child
Beyond the Realms of Death
Exciter
Hellrider
The Hellion/Electric Eye
Painkiller
Living After Midnight
You Got Another Thing Comin'

Well i do love the song Death it is one of my personal favourites on Nostradamus as it recreates the mood perfectly, However i would be more pleased if they put Prophecy on, they do a great job of that live and it's so heavy. But you're right Dissident Aggressor should be there and Eat me Alive. In fact i actually prefer the set they have given us this year to the one they did in 2005. I just wish so much that they had played Demonizer, my god (Rob Halford) that would have been spectacular! To sell a live album with absolutely NO hits on it. Just fan favorites is an extremely brave and bold move on Judas Priest's part.
I wonder if they got a chance to record Solar Angels when they performed it.
Come on people DON'T complain you've all been BEGGING that they don't release another live album with Breaking the law and Another Thing Comin' for YEARS now. Your finally getting it and your complaining. |

I am really proud of Priest for not selling out like Kiss and Maiden. JP just moves forward not in reverse. I'm kinda the same. I was hoping for a full 2 CD set of songs that make one big concert. But 11 songs? Hmmm that's quite little. |

I think it's weird they're putting tracks on that were recorded 3 years apart. If it was a show from '08, it'd be awesome. Halford sounded great when I saw them last year in Holmdel, NJ.
Hopefully I can see them again this year |

Sounds like a bit of a cash in to me, bunch of random live songs strung together from various tours is never gonna go down as a classic album. Guess Priest don't feel as if they've put togther a live show worthy of recording and releasing in it's entirety recently. |

I have to say i thought it sounded a bit strange when they said it was going to be from different shows they have done since 2005 but i think it will be cool that they are unreleased tracks. I can't wait to hear Prophecy blasting through my speakers, live =D (if it's on). I'm not sure a lot of people would want to hear Painkiller not because it was on Live in London or Live Meltdown 98 but because Halford struggles with it a lot now (he still screams well enough, but struggles with the singing). I'd rather they put 'Between the Hammer and the Anvil' on instead =D but still i aint gonna complain if Painkiller does make its way on to the disc, Halford still does a half decent job on it. |

When they say unreleased live tracks are they referring to tracks that have never been released on a live album? If that's the case, I hope the album will have a good number of songs by this lineup, like Judas Rising, Hell Patrol, Death, Hellrider, Painkiller. I'm a bit surprised that it's only 11 tracks, I thought it was going to be a full album. However, let's see what this brings us Edited at: Monday, May 18, 2009 3:30:56 PM |
