wow--tough choice----Stained Class had Exciter--Better By You, Better Than Me--& Beyond The Realms Of Death

Hell Bent For Leather had the title song that I liked --plus The Green Manalishi--Running Wild--Killing Machine & Before The Dawn

so I like both cd's but for different reasons--sorry but it's too hard to pick just 1 for me !!

Stained Class is better.....I enjoy pretty much every song from this LP,while Hell Bent For Leather I do not like "Take On The World,  Burnin' Up,  Before The Dawn,  Evil Fantasies."  Never liked those 4 songs after all these years,I still don't.

I thoought stained class was 78 and hell bent for leather (or killing machine) was 79. watever
iis a tough choice but if there was a gun to my head and i have to choose, i go with Hell bent..
but stained class is amazing

Hmmm, while they were both released around the same time, I find it hard to compare the two really. While they are both unmistakable Priest, these two albums showcase two different sides to the band. I love SC, but I also love KM (as it is known here instead of HBFL, LOL!). To me SC is what Priest is all about - good hard hitting heavy metal, in short. KM to me seems like Priest were still doing excellent heavy metal, but it was made more accessible to a non fan at the time. I'm not sure though. All I know is, I love both these albums almost equally, so I could never decide between the two! LOL!

Don't know if my facts are correct but these two albums came out at the same time? I have to say personally Stained Class blows away Hell bent for Leather. Although i really like Hell Bent, there are fewer overall insane songs. Stained Class from start to finsh MASTERPEICE. well IMO anyway.
