Hmmm....Johnny Cash and Pachelbel!!!

Probably Nick Cave and Tom Waits, neither are metal but they both have some awesome songs and cool lyrics. Got a Bob Dylan cd around somewhere as well that's not too bad. Haven't listened to it for ages though.

I would have to say an old Dolly album with the song Working 9 to 5. Now I know what you think but when you grow up in a house of parents who listen the country you end up enjoying one or two tunes. But I do have to agree with Metal Pixie on the disco - sometimes a girl does have to move.

Devil Went Down To Georgia is an awesome tune, and one of these days I'm gonna master that fiddle part on guitar. Devil Went Back To Georgia by Jonny Cash is another great tune as well, but as of late I have really really been hooked on "Boondocks" by Little Big Town. It really strikes me as something that could have very well fit on Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album, one of the greatest front to back albums of all time....

Sorry - sometimes, when a girl wants to move a girl's just gotta move!!!
BTW - did you ever notice that, as long as a song is in 4/4 time, you can actually do the Boot Scootin' Boogie line dance to anything?
Including our beloved Heavy Metal? Sad but true.

Can't say as I ever noticed that MP but, then again, I don't dance, I headbang, and after my last concert I think I may have to change my style as I felt like I had shaken baby syndrome, the next morning. Bad headache. Getting too old to go at it full tilt. 45 year old brain can't take a full night of it. Mine would be ABBA gold. Say what you will about them, the songs stand the test of time.
