Okay ... that's just crazy talk. Someone call those people with the nice, white-jackets...
Our Rob, in someone else's shadow ...? What a load of poppy-cock.
(Said with all due respect to Freeze, as I'm hoping you'll allow me some degree of leniency here with respect to profanity!)
Now, go away. Stupid question in the first place... |

It appears that, somehow, we went from maintaining a record that was "uncurved", to an obscure equation involving "band bashing" to "acceptance" all in a few short days...!??!?! Amazing! A fine example of the Phases of Mourning, I believe? And as for my MENSA application, I was denied for misspelling my name.
Glad to know there is so much passion regarding one fellow. I am certain he would be happy to know that he has such ardent supporters! I have made the decision to remove myself from what appears to be developing into a maelstrom of pointless argument ( If not simply futile). I've said what I have to say on the topic and I leave those that fancy themselves FAR more learned than I on this to make the final conclusion...IF they actually can do so. |

Thats what i'd like to know aswell. Judas Priest is Rob Halford, as Rob Halford is Judas Priest. No one on the face of the planet will ever, ever sound exactly like Rob Halford. But there always be ones who try. The period where he became singer for Priest he had a pretty powerful voice, but he had 3 decades that really affected the way his voice sounded. Each album he altered his sound to meet what that specific album achieved. I can't think of single other vocalist that has achieved such an enormous drastic change that slowly evolved into what has become known as the Metal God. Owens will always sadly live in the shadow of Rob Halford. he could be refering to himself, I dont know if he has ever applied for Mensa, I know DF is quite smart, as to the question of him joining mensa, well, I wouldnt waste my time with some of the people that I know as members, but its up to him.
