And I hate when they do that. Joey Belladonna is awesome! Like you said, what is that Rob' band crap? Unless they are speaking of Halford they have no reason to say that. Has to bee dumbed down so kids can figure out it's one of Rob's bands. What an insult, the way it is written.

I got that same feeling, but that is the internet for you. Dummed down for kids.

Anthrax without Joey is like Priest without Rob. But the article just seemed kinda dumbed down for kids.

I did'nt like how the article called Priest "Rob's band". Great for Anthrax anyway, I am glad to see Joey back with them.

HRMG, out of all of Priest I would consider KK as the planner. He has planned for his "second act" since around 1980 when he bought Astbury Hall. He always had a vision of what he would do when Priest hung up thier collective instruments. Unfortunately, his timeline is a bit off with the rest of the band. But, he's ready to go to his next phase, and I don't think he will look back with regret, at least I hope not. I wish him well.

I wonder if he would consider a special "life long fan of JP" greens fee discount? Reserve a suit room that only JP fans could stay in? lol
I know he's more multidimensional than that, but that place is his passion.

I said it back then after the HALFORD show on December 7th and I'll say it again, Rob was VERY VERY upset. It was obvious to me because I know how he performs, but the rest of the crowd had no idea. Then to top it all off, ROB was the one blamed by many for the farewell tour announcement. I knew it wasn't Rob or Glenn all along. Rob couldn't say anything to defend himself at that point or give us any info, I see that now. They said what they could and left it up to KK to decide when to make the announcement and in hopes that he would change his mind. I knew I was right when I said the "more they had to say" was this big bomb and not that they were writing a new album. Obviously from Scott's interview, KKs heart isn't in it anymore. In Rob's interviews back in December, he kept saying that your heart has to be in it.

My two boys were so upset too Spa, because we are taking them to the show too and they wanted to see KK Downing and Glenn Tipton play like no other twin axe attack can or ever will......
Rob sucked it up for years even though he wanted to leave. He even stayed in a different hotel from the rest of the band during the Painkiller tour. Seems like KK could do the same. But if your heart isn't in it, well, we the fans will see that and it will drag us down as well. I respect his decision. I just hope he doesn't regret it like Rob eventually did. Rob at least had a band to come back to. I fear that Priest will be no more if KK ever looks back and feels he made a mistake.

This will be my first time seeing Priest. I had an opportunity to see them on the metal masters tour, but due to some health problems I had to stay in boring Kinston NC. I have regreted it ever since, especially since Ronnie passed away and KK quiting.

I went to the last two tours (after not seeing them for a few years), one on my own and one I met up with Guido. I loved the shows. My daughter however was always off with her father at the times they toured, so I promised her I would take her to this tour come hell or highwater.  Really, being there with her and hopefully a few friends from this board, it's going to be a great time, and I will look forward to it.

I made a promise to myself and to Chelsea ( My girlfriend of 3 years ) that we would see Priest , no matter how much it cost or how far we have to travel. I will see the greatest heavy metal band ever live.

I know the feeling. I've seen the the guys all together several times and since Scott has been with them for so many years now he seems the obvious true Priest drummer. I wish it could be different, but no. I will go and support my band I love so much, even KK wants the fans to support the band and his decision. So, that is what I must except, or walk away......................and I won't walk away, so........there ya go. Tour time.

Yeah I really feel bad for Rob,  but it also may be very awkward for Glenn. His parntner in crime for so many years is gone, I really feel for him. I will definitly see Priest and support them in anything they are involved in. I love those guys too much. They are like my best friends that I have never met. I just saddens me that I never experianced the classic line up live.

I'm sure most of us were greatful for the news. I can now see why HRMG said when Rob annouced the final JP tour on his Halford tour that he was truly down about it. He already knew what we found out yesterday. How could he not be anything else but sad to loose KK. I wonder if KK's annoucement was not a somewhat double edged sword for him. He did that same thing years ago, and yet this time he had to be the one receiving the bad news. Must have hurt even more to know that feeling from the opposite side.
At last, I'm glad they are all gentlemen and no one is throwing words at each other this time.  Sad resolve for all of us.

I am just glad Rob had something to say so quickly. I thought it might take a week or so for the metal god to respond. Also it is good to Scott "growing up" to be a spokesperson of the band. When no one will give us answers, Scott or Rob will.
