Update. Nope, the guitar pick necklace is pretty much hosed. Seemed to have had a light layer of chrome on it that wore off in a scary heartbeat. Pot metal is now tarnished to a level that a cleaner will make it better for a day but nothing more. Can't even make out the maker's name without really looking hard.
Shame. Second one isn't ever coming out of the package.

Bah...no god is going to listen to me anyways...you should see the looooooooooooooooooooooooong list I have...and the even loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonger list they may have with my insistent requests (and threats)
and spap, I guess I'll have to because my little cross is starting to turn black too, so it'll work for both...well, if my razor blade ever arrives...

You can wear it. You might be wise to buy a rosin cloth to clean it with. They don't cost much and most any jewlery store should sell them. Wear it in good health! lol

Yeah, I'm not exactly running marathons or bathing with mine either. Just looked it up on their website:
"Guiar Pick Necklace is made from hand poured fine metal." GUIAR ... hmm. Hope the "fine metal" is better than their spelling.

The pick is greyish anyway and is probably made of pewter, so it will turn very quickly, with or without wear. While I'm not completely sure on the substance; I would have to take a rosin cloth to it to see if it buffs up, then I would know. Can't seem to find the damn thing though. lol I would not surprise me if it were a pewter cast, and it is not chromed at all and very doubtful made of anything else, due to the color. Nickle Maybe?
Few minutes later. Found my cloth, and both the razor and the pic pollish up very easy with it. Pewter, most likely.

About the necklaces, though, anyone else WEARING these things? Just noticed that the back of the pick is already oxidized to all hell. Looks like the new ones will be "for display only." No es bueno.

What? No meat packaging tray? Well then you have been deprived. Both my necklaces came shipped separate with their own little white styrofoam tray. You need to lodge a complaint!
Maybe they just save the meat packing trays for Southerners, the tendency of drive by mail box distruction etc. They cardboard on the outside was the new vacum sealed type, I assumed they used the tray to keep from smashing the packaging when they seal the cardboard.
