Maybe their next album can be a bit more brutal? Has anybody heard those deep devil growls Rob does on Painkiller on A Touch Of Evil Live? I think all these nu-metallers need something real to slap them in the face. Having an album full of double bass drumming, searing guitar solos, rhythm guitaring with a sound sharp enough to slice you in pieces and a range of vocals by rob to send a chill down your spine including his strong rasp, his trademark scream and some more of this brutal devil voice he has capacity of doing. |

Yes you have a very valid point here....anything is possible....maybe they will have one out in lets say September 2010...??
But we all have to count on the new album being released somewhere in the first few months of 2011...thats more acurate
I think...but I do not know this so lets see what happens and hope we get an album soon...its been almost 5 years since
Angel of Retribution was released and that was the last real heavy tradtional metal album they have done so lets hope so!!! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by I.M.P. from Friday, August 21, 2009 1:47:27 AM) |

Way back when, rumors were swirling that Angel of Retribution was going to be a double disc because while interviewed, they stated having enough material for two discs. We all know it was one disc, so I'm wondering where the material went. If it didn't end up working it's way into Nostradamus, perhaps we have a head start already. Priest (or I think Jayne) said the reason for all that material was so they could release another album faster...
Here's hopin'! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Tuesday, August 18, 2009 3:36:44 PM) | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | We will "definately" have to wait a little more than a year for the new studio album SkyRider. I predict that a new studio album

ABSOLUTELY!!! Wait, are you trying to say that Dave didn't drum on Ram It Down??? HAHAHAHA. There is NO WAY, in my opinion, that Dave drummed on Hard As Iron, which is one of my favorite tracks - way too fast for him and not his style. I remember reading an interview with him a long time ago and they asked him how much he drummed on Ram It Down and he said, "Very little". I LOVE the way Scott drums, I could watch him for hours.... he's amazing to me. Well obviously they wanted to release some stuff from Angel of Retribution live and lets face it they did 2 of the best tracks from the album on Rising in the East so that's why they have went back to it. However i agree most of the stuff they performed this and last year year was way better than in 2005 but they probably didn't record every show and maybe because they were recording a DVD already (Rising in the East), the sound might be far superior to any other recordings they have of those tracks. It is a shame cause i know Halford has done Painkiller way better than on RITE and i hope they decide to change this version (which they won't) but its not the strongest in all honesty is it. Still liking the set list of songs that aren't from RITE, they sound great especially Death. Yeah I don't know either! The Painkiller version on the new live Touch Of Evil is the one from Rising In the East ,I've heard at least....
The only thing that is bad about the live Painkiller is Halford's signature Painkiller "scream" in the middle of the song right before the solo....
He sounds like Elmo being gagged and drowned!! LOL! I love Halford anyways man....."Hey Rob"...if you are reading this....I'm just taking the piss!! LOL!
