HA!! Consistently late people, such as my Sister, have taught me that if they are always late, I simply don't show up until 20 minutes after the time they asked me to be there. They never know I do this because I still get there first. Sad. How do they get to work on time? Appointments on time?   Or do they simply have NO consideration for their friends and family!?

Hellrider, I would have been so pissed off at that complete stranger for being late to pick up their own phone! I think I would have erased their entire phone address  book,  just for meaness.

Yeah I hear that. It just pisses me off that when you ask someone to help you out and they agree, then don't follow through with what they were supposed to do.  Or even if someone asks me to help "them" out and they are the ones who are either "late" or no show,no call ect...I hate it when I'm supposed to meet someone at a certain time and they are 20 minutes late and I'm on time every time.

Fuckin people huh?

I notice that mostly its a generational thing.  the young (not all) seem to be slackers.
[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Sunday, December 19, 2010 8:43:09 PM
I couldn't agree with you more Metallian! They seem to promote the lazy bastards too, don't they? All the hard workers get is: MORE WORK! Why? Well, I'm told it's because they can count on me to do it correctly, accurately and efficiently. All true, but why the hell don't I get paid more then????

And Spa, yeah, we had one person that I think had 3 moms and 2 dads and several sets of grandparents die before management caught on! People are messed up. How can you lie about stuff like that?

The lax treatment is for workers in key lower positions the company can not function without.  They get more play time than any other employee. Afterall, if I miss work due to illness or on a rare occasion weather conditions, that goes against me, but I know other employees in those key labor positions who call in on a regular basis at least once  per two week pay period. Truthfully I think they do that to say on benifits and at the same time work.

I gaurentee you if I did that, I'd be out of a job, and rightly so.

Management will put up with more from lower paid key position employees, even though the attendance policy says they would be fired. Just facts of life.

Hey Spapad! I so agree with u about people showing up for work, and if they do they are lazy and get away with murder! As for us dedicated and hard workers we get shit on,but those that miss work,or do fuck all get treated with kit gloves! That's fucked!

[spapad] Sunday, December 19, 2010 6:16:04 PM
Considering a whole bunch of people can not be counted on to show up for work anymore, this attitude does not surprise me. Even with the unemployment rate at an all time high for my lifetime, people can't be bothered. They have so many excuses that it's not unusual for their grandparents to die more than once.

On a personal level I learned long ago that if I went out of my way for someone on a regular basis and the one time I asked something from them, they had difficulties commiting to such a thing, I'd never ask again nor volunteer again. Now, unless I'm paying someone to get a job done, I'm strictly from the school of "if you want something done right, do it your damn self, because friendly help is just too hard to come by anymore.

Why are you pissed off? I'd be more pissed off at him for the fact that he didn't apply. Suspended for seven months? Surely you didn't plan for him to be unemployed for that length of time. How hard can it be? Why not go and pour pints at the local pub at night until something turns up? Go work at a petrol station or supermarket, anything is better than nothing.

It may sound like I'm uncaring or unloving, that is far from it. My mother just seems to know how to milk me and then leave me in a state of panic whilst she goes about her life. I'm really tired and drained after this year and I have really had enough.
[joedraper] Monday, December 13, 2010 8:48:37 AM
Loosing four pivotal people in my life in one year, finding out my favourite band is pretty much calling it a day and then to find out that my step father is due to have critical heart surgery when he's not the healthiest person as it is... Oh and lets not forget to top it off that after my mother's frantic panic stricken calls last night she decides to just cut off all telephonic contact which is all I have with her when nobody knows what the fuck is happening. If I need to organize a flight to her at the worst time of the year to fly, babysitters so that Craig can work whilst I go help her arrange a funeral or take care of him if he survives and she just can't even have the decency to give me a 5 minute phonecall... Now lets see, yes, last time I checked I had a few things pissing me off... I just don't get it. I'm so done with all this shit.

I get so pissed at people who are so self centered. Call on you for help and expect you to drop your life at a moments notice and then leave you sitting with your finger up your arse.

Sorry, haven't been on due to 1) Working out a lot more now adays; 2) Starting to write music and practice more so I can get a band together and get a Metal machine going in 2011... So yeah.. I'd much rather have Halford, but Slash ain't bad (At least it's not AXL!). Can't stand Nickleback, either... Anyways.. Idk.. VIP Suite tix, won 'em off the radio.. Wednesday night, we'll see... Most likely will go. I've always wanted to see Ozzy. Wouldn't mind seein' Slash, either. But hey, whatever happens, happens... Still gonna try to see Priest 2x in '11 none-the-less! (Maybe once more, just to make up the absence of Halford from the Ozzy concert!!)

A lot of peopl,e who have tickets are complaining about Slash opening . . . Over Halford? This has to be because of the whole "Epitaph" tour . . . And if not, then this music industry is going down the drain . . . My dad's pissed as well..  I even yelled at my management at work because they hate giving me days off to work, and now this!? I could be making money on sunday but instead I'll be watching football (not bad) instead of rocking out to my favourite artists of all-time (better than football). Oh well . . . I echo what everyone else is saying on this topic. I also believe that he'll come round. They can be pretty hot-headed and say things like they hate you, will never speak to you again but he will. He doesn't hate you, he's just angry that he can't get his own way or that you will not see things from his perspective and agree with him. Part of being a parent is not being their friends. You have to be hard and make the tough decisions for his well being. Give him some space and let him know that your arms and door are open when he's cooled down and wants to talk things over.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. Well, not knowing the specifics of the situation between you and your son I'd say that you should always "stick to your north" and do what you feel is right in all matters concerning him. If it feels wrong, it is. Plain and simple. You gave his age: +/-20. He'll hate you for certain reasons. Stand your ground about what you feel as right. If it continues, it does. 'Nuff said.

"Whatta year." Enough said there as well. Seems to be going around. Cuídate, compadre.

Thanks Joe and Guido, reading your posts is very theraputic  and this isn't the first animal I've lost, but it doesn't get any easier as you guys know. I'm not one to mope around and be depressed but I'm more agitated than anything and I felt that my posting on a daily basis would end up everything negative and I'm already negative enough so just thought it would be best if I post when I have something worthy to contribute. Animals are awsome, they are magical and sacred and I'm glad that I am one who appreciates and enjoys animals, always have.

Ontop of everything else, inbetween us getting robbed and losing my animal, my son(20 years old )and I got into a hum dinger of an argument 2 weeks ago and now he says he hates my guts and wishes I wasn't his father,I'm the worst father there ever was and says he will never speak to me or see me again blah blah blah and now he claims I no longer have a son right along with I no longer have a sister as I haven't talked to my sister in over 2 years.....I'll spare you the "drama' but he has his head so far up his ass its not even funny. J.D. This year has been so tough on a lot of us. I'm so sorry you have to end it with the loss of your faithful companion. You can never replace them and it's funny how some poeple think that you just can. It took me almost two years to open my heart to another cat. I'm glad I left the mourning phase to take its course because it really helped the grief proccess but having a new little guy around really cheered up Jethro, our 11 year old cat. They creep into our hearts and I could never ever imagine my life without one of my beloved pets. Each one has been so special to me and I've truly loved and felt loved by them.

I know you're hurting, remember the good 14 years that you had together and let the healing process run its course.
In my thoughts.

Spapad,Guido,Hot Rockin' Metal Godess and Becks...thanks guys for your support. Animals are very sacred to me personally and to you guys as well, and not to put him before you guys but especially Guido as I know his passion for animals as the posts I've read throughout the years.

He was my 14 year old cat, most people wouldn't give a shit and just throw it away and get a new one attitide, but not me.  I'm back up and running(my computer) but I probably won't feel like posting a whole lot these next few weeks. I am a strong individual but there has always been a special place in my heart for animals, and losing one no matter how old they are stings pretty bad. Whats even sader is that my other animal keeps looking for him and he isn't coming home. That is some sad stuff to watch.

I don't have much to say when these things happen,so I'll come around when my spirits have been lifted a little. However we are getting a German Shepherd puppie in January, this was planned a few months ago, then when we got ripped off the plan can't get here quick enough. Got a new ADT sucurity system monitored by ADT and put up bars on 4 windows in my back yard, and now will have a dog and already have the beware of dog signs up.

Dispite  what  MANY  of people have said about this forum, this place is the best place on the internet, and the main people here are amongst the best people and friends to ever have online. The trouble makers fall by the way side and don't count as "anything". They can't take away what we have all  established here, and its cool to hear your friends give a shit about whats going on with your personal life.

A huge thanks to all of you for supporting my frustrations and a huge thank you to HELLRIDER ....this guy offered to "send me some $money" just because I got ripped off.   To you Hellrider, Victoria and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts, but as I PMed you,we could never accept money from you or anybody else but are extremely humbled and greatful you thought about us. Hellrider you have a heart of gold and are definately one of if not the most important member to post here, what a guy you are my friend.

Thanks guys,I'm back now but again I'll post when my spirits are lifted a little more. You guys rock.

Good to see you again JD, I am glad the thieves didn't take anything too major, but still, what bastards! And I am so so sorry about your pet, I know what it's like to lose a loved furry family member, it's awful.

Great to see you again J.D. I'm glad that you were lucky and they didn't take much. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know how much you love animals and I know this must be so very hard. Know that he loved you just as much and had a wonderful life because of all the love that you gave him. He was a part of your family and that is a gift that many animals never get. I wish you and Victoria all the best.

Good to hear from you, bro. You know that I am an animal lover and loathe any bastard that (has) had the lack of heart to belittle the death of a rat, bird, what have you. What animal, I would sincerely ask but know that it doesn't matter. Those idiots (THAT IDIOT HERE) has no soul. Human or not, compassion is not something you learn. Know that my thoughts are with you.

Glad to hear that your house wasn't completely gutted and we await your triumphant return, Commander.
