Sadly, did the same for the first time since I've been a member and you ARE right. All those 40+ spam posts turn into a "message from user on your ignored list." Really wish we could get rid of that nonsense as well as the shitdisturbers.

I really hate using the ignore button, but yesterday I had had enough of certain thick-headed people and had to hit it a couple of times. Made the "new posts" list much cleaner!
