The Judas Priest frontman is about to get festive on our asses. It couldn’t be any more ludicrous than Twisted Sister’s efforts, could it?
Metal God and Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford has confirmed that he will be releasing his first solo outing in over seven years this yuletide and it will feature reworkings of ‘Come All Ye Faithful’ and ‘Oh Holy Night’. He can’t top Cartman’s rendition of the latter, surely?
The album will be titled ‘Halford III – Winter Songs’ and will also include original tracks ‘Get Into The Spirit’, ‘When Christmas Comes For Everyone’, ‘Light Of The World’.
‘Halford III – Winter Songs’ sees release on October 26.

Anyway here's some Rammstein news since you all know about the new Halford 3 album haha.
New Rammstein Album Artwork and Details Reveiled
RAMMSTEIN, the Berlin, Germany-based industrial metal sextet well known for its controversial and fiery live performances, has set "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" as the title of its new album, due in the U.S. on October 20 via Vagrant Records (October 16 in Germany). The CD artwork can be viewed below. The band's first new album in four years contains 11 songs which were once again mixed and mastered by Jacob Hellner in Stockholm, Sweden. Pre-production for the new release was done at Castle Beerenstedt in eastern Germany's Halle/Saale while the bulk of the recording was done in late 2008 at Northern California's Sonoma Mountain Studio.
"Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" track listing:
01. Rammlied
02. Ich Tu Dir Weh
03. Waidmann's Heil
04. Haifisch
05. B******
06. Fruehling In Paris
07. Weiner Blut
08. Pussy
09. Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da
10. Mehr
11. Roter Sand
U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine has posted a complete track-by-track guide to the new RAMMSTEIN album.
RAMMSTEIN will release a new single, "Pussy", on September 18. It will be made available a two-song digipack, also featuring the track "Rammlied" as the B-side. A video for "Pussy" was recently shot with renowned Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund, who has previously worked with METALLICA, SATYRICON, MADONNA and THE PRODIGY, among others.
RAMMSTEIN's last tour through the U.S. was in 2001 in support of "Mutter", and as they continued to sonically and visually explore societal and sexual taboos, RAMMSTEIN has found themselves embroiled in further controversies both here and abroad throughout the last decade.
RAMMSTEIN retains an aura of mystery due in part to their ambiguous lyrics (sung almost entirely in German) while their chart-topping releases and sold-out worldwide tours prove that fans can't get enough of this enigmatic group.
RAMMSTEIN is:
Till Lindemann - Vocals Paul Landers - Guitar Richard Z. Kruspe - Guitar Oliver Riedel - Bass Christoph Schneider - Drums Flake Lorenz - Keyboards

Stephen Pearcy Recording Vocals For New Ratt Album
Californian rockers RATT have returned to the studio to resume recording their first studio release in 10 years. The CD is being produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, whose credits include PUDDLE OF MUDD, CHEVELLE, SALIVA, LIMP BIZKIT, ALTER BRIDGE and THREE DAYS GRACE, to name a few.
According to a posting on RATT's MySpace page, "Stephen [Pearcy] is recording lead vocals now. Guitars and backup vocals [will be tracked] next week."
RATT was scheduled to spend a month or so recording the new album in Mathews, Virginia — the first time the band has stepped outside of Los Angeles to track a new CD in 20-plus years. A January 2010 release via Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records is expected.
Quality video footage of RATT's July 28, 2009 performance at the Nokia Theatre in New York City can be viewed below (courtesy of "bretthejet").
RATT and EXTREME recently teamed up to bring you this summer's most rockin' tour lineup. The tour, which features sets from both bands with RATT closing, kicked off on July 12 in Amarillo, Texas and ran through August 7 in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of their landmark debut "Out Of The Cellar", RATT played the album in its entirety.
Over the past two years, RATT has toured the world in support of their releases "Tell The World - The Very Best Of Ratt" and their first-ever DVD, "Videos from the Cellar - The Atlantic Years". During this time, the current lineup of Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini, Bobby Blotzer, Robbie Crane and Carlos Cavazo played shows in Australia, Colombia and Peru for the first time in their careers.
Vocalist Klaus Meine of German hard rock legends SCORPIONS has issued the following update:
"Dear fans, the last few months on the road just flew by — and as always, it was fantastic and exciting to play for you. But now we are back in our studio in Hannover with our Swedish producers Mikael 'Nord' [Andersson] and Martin Hansen [the team behind THE RASMUS' "Dead Letters" CD] to work on our new album. We have a lot of new songs and are very much looking forward to the creative time ahead of us. Hopefully, when this time comes to an end, we will be able to present another awesome album that rocks and finds a place in your heart. If everything goes as planned, our new album will be released to the public spring of 2010.
"There's more: This October, the world wide release of our new DVD, 'Amazonia –Life in the Jungle!' will be heading your way."
Added guitarist Rudolf Schenker: "It is such a great feeling to be back in the studio and creating something new and genuine. As early as the first recording day with my bandmates, I realized pure creativity is in the air. I am sure that our new album will surprise all our fans. We are up to something big, so let your curiosity get the best of you!"
Stated guitarist Matthias Jabs: "Now that our 'Humanity World Tour' is over and we toured the world twice very successfully, it is time to record new songs, to write new songs — songs that come from the heart and relate to our fans' emotions around the world. I am very excited about recording our new album with lots of energy and feeling. As always though, the bar is set very high, especially as I like to measure it with our albums 'Blackout' and 'Love at First Sting'."
SCORPIONS recently extended their record deal with Ariola, which is part of the international media conglomerate Sony BMG Music Entertainment.
The band's latest CD, "Humanity - Hour 1", was produced by James Michael and co-produced by songwriter/producer Desmond Child, who has worked with such high-profile pop/rock artists as AEROSMITH, BON JOVI, ALICE COOPER, KISS, RICKY MARTIN, CHER, MICHAEL BOLTON and BONNIE TYLER.
The Best Buy edition of "Humanity - Hour 1" includes an exclusive track, "Cold". "Cold" was previously included on the Japanese pressing of the CD along with another bonus cut, a radio edit of "Love Will Keep Us Alive".
Rudolf Schenker will release his official German-language autobiography, "Rock Your Life", in Germany on October 14. An English-language version is also planned. More details will be revealed soon.
An 18-minute interview with SCORPIONS frontman Klaus Meine conducted by the band's webmaster Wolfgang Strauß on January 10, 2009 in Cologne, Germany can be viewed below.
