Hmmm...maybe its a promotion thing created by Amazon. JP doesn't seem to be involved with this, otherwise they would have told us a long time ago. Would you buy it for the ticket? Know what pisses me off about the preorder? Just saw the lower price on Amazon WITH a concert ticket if you got the double package! WTF? |

Good deal! Just in time for the Priest release. My timing, of course, is WAY off. I'll be leaving for Brazil right before the album comes out. DAMN! UPS guy better not return those albums to sender. I got two, after all. Double and then Triple version. I had to have the ones with the vinyl when I found a Best Buy preorder. Now I just have to find someone worthy of gifting away my extra copy.
No letting up with the running for now. Training for the Rio Marathon. DOGS better lay off on pulling me around tonight. All I have to say. Iam orig from MN.. I can handle the cold.. Its all the snow Iam sick of dealing with... Cold temps and wind dont bother me.. Its snow for 9 months out of the year.. That Iam sick of.... Iam at a high elevation here.. and we get to much of the white hell..lol In canada where Iam moving the average 36 inches a year of snow.. Not 350 inches.. big difference... And it get very cold here in MT also.. Temps dip to -20 -30 sometimes in the winter.. And then all of a sudden it Rains in January,,...
Believe me.. the weather patterns are changing.. and this state gets all the storms from the pacific northwest.. in the winter..... no-thanks...lol... Many other easons for my move.. Job stability.. wages ect... they pay people out here 8.00 and think they are doing you a favor..lol... Cowboy mentality.... Yeah its only in the mid 50,s during the day.. and still gets down to 20's here at nite.... Tis one of the reasons Iam moving.. Plus the over 350 inches of snow we got last winter................ Wow, now thats something we need, but we had a small period of rain that occured just over a week ago on the weekend of the 23 of May, but it started on the 22 and it had to rain at parts of Gigantour up in Mesa. But now we are on the hot trend of an Arizona summer. Just hope the swamp coolers don't give out too soon here at work in the warehouse. I have to have a chuckle here because as you all drift into summer, winter is knocking on my door here in africa... yes that's right, winter in africa (lol) We've had rain and cold weather today and a pretty cold weekend... Interesting tidbit I learned this past week: Most early rock & roll (circa 1950s / 60s) music wasn't written. A lot of the younger artists, of the day, played by ear, having not spent any amount of time actually learning how to read music; hits didn't last long on the charts. By the time someone published the written music, the song / hit was already dated.

Here's the topic, which was e-mailed by my TA... The essay is for a History of Western Civilization class:
Compare and contrast Haggard and Freud’s discussions of “civilization” and the “primitive” in She and Civilization and its Discontents respectively. How might their interpretations reflect the particular historical circumstances in which they were created? (Be sure to identify what those circumstances might be.) Do the authors have any preference for one over the other, believe both are compatible, or use one to criticize the other?
Its 5-6 pages, due Wednesday. I'll be fine, for now...

First in my To-Do list is to write the last essay of the year (gathering ideas every few minutes and writing them down). Then its studying for the finals, which will be in two weeks, then I'm out of Davis for the summer.

Calvin has developed basset hound eyes! Especially this late at night. Seems he gets a bit tired having this little ball of energy to deal with all day long. Gives this sort of "help" when she is snipping at his ears and cheeks after a certain hour. It is pretty funny. Had a buddy over tonight to watch the game and even he remarked at how calm (and big) Calvin has gotten. Bigger and slower because of HER! HAAA!!!
How about you? What draws your attention this fine Sat evening? Feeding chalupas to a small fish? Studies? Finals coming up, I believe I read?
