Surprisingly small 'taches and big 'dos for the seventies. Guess they were ahead of their time!

Right on Darth! Yeah as I posted a few posts back...out of 13 tracks on the  Into The Labyrinth CD  I did'nt like 2 songs..."Live To Rock" and "Hell Cat".....the other 11 tracks are classic Saxon at thier best.A mix between traditional heavy metal and classic "HARD ROCK".

No I don't J.D.  However, I did purchase Live To Rock from the iTunes Store.  It's not a bad song, but definitely not their best by a long shot.  I need to hold off on any more music purchases so I can pay off all of the credit card debit I had to assume recently (starting over from scratch is expensive).

Yeah Darth,It is an album thats great in all facets! Every track on this album is cool! Have you heard the new album "Into The Labyrinth"? It is as well a great album....13 tracks on it and there are only 2 that I do not really care for...."Live To Rock" and "Hellcat".....11 out of 13 is pretty good! Those 11 songs are awsome though!

lol! kiamat that is awsome that you have a chance at going to see Saxon!! Machine Gun is my personal favorite but yes 747 Strangers In The Night is cool too!! Over here in the United States on the west coast Seattle Washington,Saxon,Motorhead,Venom these bands do not come here often at all,its always the east coast they play,so its kinda frustrating! Saxon is playing New York City B.B.Kings and Iced Earth is opening up!

Still desperately trying to get tickets to Saxon- an incentive to pass my driving test. If I do I can drive to Sheffield and see them.
Motorcycle Man is good, but for me 474 (Strangers in the Night) is far and away the greatest song off that album. Got it on vinyl, 7 and 12 inches, utterly treasured items along with my 'And the Bands played on' single.

J.D.....Motorcycle Man is one of my favorite Saxon tunes (not to mention an ELITE cruising song)!!  I will definitely have to get that DVD.  BTW, Inner Sanctum has grown on me quite a bit...I think it's a great album in all facets!   I love the concept of the CD and how it's structured.

Yes,In my opinion The Inner Sanctum is Saxon's 2nd best effort,1st being Lionheart!

Hey Darth.....dude,you got to eventually buy this DVD "The Saxon Chronicles"...2001 live in Germany headline in front of thousands of German denim & leather heavy metal maniacs!! 5.1 surround sound, they crank out track after track of elite songs...not one of the tracks they played this night are bad, they are all elite tracks...every one of them!!!

They open up with "Motorcycle Man" and it just kicks fuckin balls man!!!  The atmosphere of this DVD is absolutely supurb!!  From start to finish...it will make you wish you were there I can promise!! This live DVD is one of my favorites ever!! Thanks to "Angel" from Walsall England(missing member whom I speak with off the site on a consistant basis)for introducing me to this DVD and the new era of Saxon back in 2005!!

Hey,no problem Darth!!  Check out those 12 albums I've listed below, those are Saxon's best 12 albums out of thier 18 album career. But there are worthy tracks from the "Solid Ball Of Rock" and "Forever Free" albums...just not the whole album/albums...about half of each ones, the other halfs are pretty much throw away b-side quality of songs.

Just listened to the band "Freedom Call" and the track "Tears Of Taragon" and it was painful to sit through!! Yuk!!  I know that Biff does some kind of narrative but I never heard it? Hum...just be glad it's not a part of "Saxon"!
