The photos from last year's Metal Masters tour were great!! Hopefully the same photographer will be taking pics for this tour again.

That's true Spa, going abroad to see family is very expensive. We went to the UK earlier this year to see my sister and it was very expensive.
It will pay off Vail, and being a part from your family in the short term will make you closer in the long term I believe.

Wow! Living abroad must be pretty difficult when it comes to staying connected with family. I have a similar situation as you did: I'm studying in the Northern part of the state and my family lives in the Southern part of the state (about 500 miles away). I can only see my family during the major holidays. It's all pretty hard, but it will pay off in the end.

Wow, a few months without seeing the fam. whould be normal but 18 months, that reminds me of seeing my X's fam. in Greece. Lot's of money to get there and the time just flys by. I know what you mean, I lived on the South Island for 6 years (if you ever see NZ on a map, it's the bottom long looking island LOL!) when I am actually from the North Island (went to uni down south), so all my family were still there and I saw them maybe twice a year. It's worse for my sister, she lives in London. Our Dad just arrived there yesterday to see her - they haven't seen each other in 18 months.

Good afternoon, everyone!! Sorry I haven't been around too often. My mom came to visit me and will be staying until Wednesday. Today we went to Sacramento and went to the zoo, then to the capitol building, and finally to the historic part of the city. Whew! It's been a busy day. Hope everyone is doing okay!!
