I have been looking for this for years. English thrash band from the late 80s, early 90s. Andy Sneap was the guitarist. He is now one of the top producers in metal.

Just sticking to what I heard is good, JJ, mostly from here or from word-of-mouth. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Thursday, September 16, 2010 11:42:17 AM)

Another two classics there Vail, awesome stuff. Stargazer is probably the best song Dio ever sang ( maybe ).
Has anyone here ever heard "Wild Dogs" by The Rods. I love this album. Does anyone know
where I may find a copy of the disc(if it exists). I have a friend who has the vinyl but I've never
seen it on disc. I'd copy his Lp to iTunes but it's scratched.

I really don't care for him. I've never liked anything that he has been a part of. He's been
surrounded by talent at different times so I would have to say for me it's him. His music
is a little too "poppy" for me so before I criticize his vocal abilities I would like to say it could
be the music more than him. In so many words I'm not a fan of his.
hi budred how do you rate graham bonnet as a singer

Stargazer kicks ass.

I actually heard Stargazer in one of JJ's first Metal Meltdown radio shows. First impression was: "Holy crap! Go Dio!!". It's an incredible song...so epic and so emotional. Now after Dio's passing, I almost want to cry when I listen to it.
I heard it covered in Spanish, and it actually sounds pretty good. Usually I'm not a huge fan of music (especially movies) dubbed into Spanish from English, but this cover isn't too bad. Check out the live version, since YouTube was being an ass and deleted the studio version. Curse you, YouTube!
"Rising" is my favorite Rainbow album. I love "Stargazer".

I hate to agree with Jimmy but "Fabulous Disaster" was definitely the best Exodus album.
And, like he says, probably followed by "Bonded by Blood". "Fabulous Disaster" has a killer
version of "Low Rider" on it. "Toxic Waltz" is cool also. Peace.[Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Becks from Saturday, September 11, 2010 6:13:47 PM)

Oh cool, haven't listened to much Exodus, what do you recommend of theirs?
jimmyjames wrote:
You know what? The big four of thrash should really be Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Testament. Anthrax are good but not in the same league as these other bands.
Exodus are playing Auckland on Oct 1st too. Wouldn't mind going to that, their new album is fucking ace!
Becks wrote:
Haven't listened to it yet lol. Hopefully it's good, Testament rules.
jimmyjames wrote:
What's First Strike like? Is that one of the albums they did after The Ritual where there was no Alex Skolnick and lots of different people were in and out of the band?
Becks wrote:
Yeah how something is never around then it suddenly pops up. The Live In Anaheim album I also got yesterday here in Palmy is fantastic, Rob sounds amazing and the band kicks arse.
Oh I also bought Testament - First Strike Still Deadly yesterday, lol.

I wanted Crucible for ages and couldn't get it anywhere so I ordered a copy from Germany. Now copies of Crucible are popping up all over town. It's weird how that happens.
Becks wrote:
I think it was $20, not sure. I just grabbed it cos I have wanted it for ages and could never find a copy LOL!
jimmyjames wrote:
They're expensive in there, what did they charge you? $25?
Becks wrote:
Nope, Slow Boat Records. Walked in and saw it and bought it straight away lol.

Did you get that at Real Groovy, I saw they had a copy in there?
