Sounds like a cool trip Vail. Did you hear anything to make you think that you were being followed or any such thing? lol They say it's haunted, naturally.

@Bud - somehow I would have guessed that you were talking to me. Of COURSE I went to Hell! LOL!!! Last day I rented a car (ever see one of these, HB?), ALWAYS repeating "drive on the left, drive on the left..."
Drove that car from one end of that 22 mile island to the other taking in the scenery from the VERY isolated National Park where I snappped the shot above and below....
to the complete opposite end of the island, Rum Point (below).
What is by the National Park side? HELL! Really funny as I was just going to take this one shot (below) when the owner of that one store told me to go around back to see the reason why it is called Hell. There is a Hell, MI so I didn't think that there would be much but it is too funny. Would have just taken this shot and kept driving had she not said anything. Hey, got me into her store where I bought the traditional postcard, stamp and went to the post office next door to mail it. Postmarked from Hell! Too funny. I don't know for sure but I don't think Hell, MI has a post office.
Bought a shot glass as well...
For those that don't know, the above, a bar and little strip-mall of crap (with absolutely NO visitors when I drove in as the post office is there (to the immediate left of this store above, in fact) is all that there really is to the city of "Hell, Grand Cayman).
The photo below explains why it was named "Hell." Afraid the city in MI has no such rock formation....
I stayed right on 7 mile beach (nobody knows why they named a five-mile+ beach that name) but was scuba diving every day but the last which was good as 7 mile beach doen't have much open area unless you went down to the public beach a decent drive (or bus ride) down. While I never stopped at the McD's, I would imagine so as you can order beer with your fries anywhere in Europe and in all the local places where I actually ate.

And why do they call that 5 1/2 mile beach 7 mile beach.

Just got back and have hundreds of photos. Most at depth (100-110ft below). Obviously, this isn't. Look above the "e" for the roaming Priest necklace.
Guido Diver! Dives in with the .... um....hammerheads, nurse sharks, rays. Blowin' bubbles at depth.
Now SpongeBob. Sorry to say that I did see him. Unfortunately, he was half destroyed by a sea turtle! Must have given up hope after the loss of his friend.
I did try to chase that sucker down, but the damage was already done to the sponge above. Never watched the cartoon, as you know, but hope that sponge wasn't him.
Ah, screw that sponge eater, I went after sharks and rays.
One of the last dives: Ex-USS Kittiwake. Five decks. Damn cool dive.

You are just like Tipper Gore, says Dee. If you see that picture (or hear that song) and see sexual activity? That is all on you.
I see that as a mother giving its baby a ride. The interpretation of the word, "love", is in the eye of the beholder.

Very nicely, indeed. Saw numerous nurse sharks at depth while diving and even a hammerhead. Screw me, though, as my mask flooded beyond clearing when the hammerhead showed up. I just wrote to a guy on the same ship to send me a vid of it when he gets home. Hey, gave me the excuse to buy me a new mask / snorkel.
Nurse shark I saw while snorkeling was impressive. 1/2 mile out and just laying on the bottom of the ocean. Alas, never thought I'd see anything cool if I wasn't diving so I didn't bring the camera! Last Sunday, after the last two-tank dive (wreck of the Kittiwake), I had the dive person drop me back at the public beach where I saw the nurse shark. About a 5-6 footer. Found it again but under a reef. I have a REAL good shot of its tail! Had it not been 30 feet down, I would have yanked on its tail to make him come out (probably to bite me).
Got great vid of a 10 foot shark at depth but it was far away and a screen capture wouldn't do the vid justice. Just a great experience overall.
Here. Turtle love. Not sure if one is just giving another a ride but ... um ... I doubt it! LOL!
