I was just talking with some girls at work today on break and the subject of the conversation turned to the 80's, and one of the girls was talking about the Bands that wore all that leather and chains etc... yuck. I was glad to tell her that my band still wears the leather and studs and they look and sound fabulous!

If i had the spare cash i would have flown to NZ to see Maiden... they are so worth it... and AND, i would never pass up on the opportunity to see the sexiest man alive - Steve Harris. Once they finish this 4th leg of the tour they are heading back to the studio, so i'm praying for another tour next year sometime.

I hope so too.... It's hard enough for Australia to attract big bands, I don't see why the didn't just take their guitars, amps and other electrial gear and play a small venue in NZ, minus the set.... I don't think the fans would care. It's all about seeing them play - not how impressive the set is... leave that to the no talent, lip synching pop stars..
The fact that Maiden is heading over there this month goes to show it can be done...

It's good to see that Aussie and NZ can out aside the petty crap to help each other out... Can't say i heard anything about the rest of the world helping us. The NZ Red Cross has set up a phone line for donations to help those affected, and some NZ firefighters will be there in the next few days to help out.

The death toll from the Victorian bushfires has hit 173, they think it will still go higher cos they haven't been through all of the debris yet. The worst thing is the police are actually investigating one of the main fires as deliberately lit...  The skyline here in Brisbane is looking very hazy today, no doubt a result of the fires.
 .... ok this is just scary, look how high the wall of fire is.

It's hard to hear some of the stories emerging from down there, Hopefully they get it all under control soon. It's been wild weather on the east coast for the past 3 months, Parts of Brisbane were declared a disaster zone late last year after a massive storm tore through here, they're getting constant flodding up north and now the bushfires down south.
