I was reading Metal Meltdown's post in Metal Blah Blah Blah this afternoon, about how tickets for the Toronto show were already on sale even though there was no official posting of the date yet on JP.com. I was so pissed because previously (since the tour was announced) I had been checking various websites just in case this type of thing happened, but hadn't been checking lately. I figured I was pretty much screwed out of any good tickets, and the prices for really good seats (where Rob can see me clearly mouthing "I LOVE YOU FOREVER METAL GOD" LOL) were really high, for me, anyway. So I was pretty much cussing and crying in my soup that my one and only chance to ever see Priest was now most likely NOT going to happen. So my husband (who, incidentally, is not a huge metal fan like myself) gets home from work, I'm pissed and hollering and telling him all this, he turns around and says, "Surprise!!!! - Merry Early Christmas - We got tickets!!!!!" I am not ashamed to admit I actually cried! Apparently he put out the word to any and everyone he knew that "my wife absolutely HAS TO SEE THIS CONCERT" and was being really vigilant about any info coming his way about early ticket sales, and got lucky with TOTALLY AWESOME seats. So many nights he'd come home when I was complaining that there was still no Toronto date, and now this!!!!!! I'M SO FREAKIN HAPPY I COULD BURST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ps - mo, 143, i love you and you are the best husband in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bad news is Victoria got into a car accident tonight, the good news is that she is ok!! (SIGH). She has a few brused ribs but she'll be ok. My honda is totaled(sigh) but it doesn't matter to me because alls that matters is that she is ok. Also more good new is that our very good friend Sarah who is nothing but a saint is selling one of her Hondas to us for a thousand bucks I can't belive it,the car is in top condition too what a good person she is,having these kind of friends makes life worth living!

I'm so glad to hear that Victoria is OK!! That is the most important thing, like you said. Other things can be replaced. What an awesome friend you have!!!

LMAO that reminds me of our old Toyota! It had done well over 300,000kms, we traded it in (only for cost of registration on our new car) and it turns out it's still on the road LMAO! Old faithfuls Toyotas are!
Yeah Becks it could of been so much worse that I'm so greatful for what I still have by all means. Sure its a set back,Victoria will have some court dates and ect...but as I said I'm greatful for what I have now thats for sure. I'll be looking into the Honda our friend is selling us and that will do untill we eventually get another car. Victoria's Toyota crapped out 3 years ago but it also had like 350,000 miles on it so she got her money's worth out of it ha! Yeah this fuckin sucks man but I'm glad it wasn't worse. Its only going to get better from here.

Metallian thanks man,and Head Banger thank you too and yeah your right about cars these days,it was a 98' Honda Civic .....it "was" lol! Oh well, the good thing is she is ok. And I'll let you know what kind of shape this car I'm buying for a grand is in when I see it,but our friend said it was in very great shape so....a few minor set backs but it could of been a lot worse!
glad she is ok. cars these days are well designed to totaly fall apart in an accident which disapates all the energy away from the driver. the worse the car looks the better off you are.

Just heard the other 6 tracks off the new Saxon album "Call To Arms" coming out in June as I already heard 4 of them and with 10 songs total I like every song on the album! Thier last album Into The Labyrinth had 13 tracks and I instantly disliked 2 of them so I'm totaly stoked about this new album, songs don't grow on me either I like em' or I don't and now hearing all 10 songs I can't belive I like them all.
This is the 3rd Saxon album I like all the way through with 2004 Lionheart and 2007 The Inner Sanctum being the other two. I can't fathom any album beating Call To Arms in 2011,a big thank you to Saxon for not fucking around, they give the fans what they want and have for the last 16 years and 8 straight quality studio albums..... HELL YEAH!!

Steel Panther probably wouldn't be done until 11:00pm. The earliest I'm on the highway is 11:30pm.(or close to)
That gets me home after 1:30am. Probably not asleep until 2:30am. Back up at 5:30am to leave by 6:30am so that
I'm in Columbus by 9:00am so at 11:00am I can spend the next 12 hours at a rock concert or I can skip Steel Panther,
be well rested, and save at least 50 dollars on gas and food. You got me wanting to see them but it would be smarter
not to.
I had to edit this, I almost forgot.
If you want to fly to Columbus Ohio I'll let you have my tickets.
They will be at the will-call window.
Let me know so I can call and tell them you will be picking them up.(LOL)
In all seriousness, it does suck to just leave two tickets like that.(Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Thursday, May 19, 2011 9:11:16 PM)

Danzig
Black Label Society
Stone Sour
Red Fang
Disturbed
A Perfect Circle

my favor. I should see about 25 bands (15 that I really want to and some that I won't totally hate. I should only
get forced into about 3 bands that I really hate.
I can't wait. It should be a cool weekend.

In all seriousness, it does suck to just leave two tickets like that.[Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Thursday, May 19, 2011 9:11:16 PM)

Toughen up!!! Do it man, It'll be a crack up. Hey you could listen to Hinder all the way up and back for inspiration.

I'm all over the place with music but these guys are a little weak. I do like about 4 songs on the All American Nightmare CD though.
The thing about Steel Panther is that they're basically a parody. I would have to drive 2 hours up and back and then up again the
next morning. Then 2 days of ROTR. That's a little much for me.

I'd love to see Danzig and Black Label, saw Disturbed a couple of weeks ago, average, good show but all the songs sound the same. Hope you enjoy Hinder, I'm sure that'll be fun. I would recommend checking out Steel Panther, those guys are hilarious, my favourite songs of theirs at the moment are Asian Hooker and ( My Cock Is ) Community Property.

40 bands over two days with a friday nite pre-party which I'm skipping. (Crap bands like Steel Panther)
A few of the bands there are...
Rev. Theory
Hinder(My wife loves)
Alter Bridge
Staind
Korn
Danzig
Black Label Society
Stone Sour
Red Fang
Disturbed
A Perfect Circle
...and quite a few others

Awseome Becks, one of the best gigs I've been too. Check out the pic. I'm in the front row by the top left hand corner of the speaker, guy with glasses behind me, guy with checkered shirt next to me.
The Twix ice cream I had was a bar, it was pretty nice lol, keep an eye out for it

As for Arby's it is not the greatest. You really have to know what to order, and even then it can suck, if the management is bad, like the one here. LOL

Halford: "Well, I can tell you that it's gonna be a very strong, powerful, solid heavy metal album with all of the famous things people love about PRIEST — all the big sledgehammer heavy metal riffs from Birmingham and the screaming vocals. And it's just a very straightforward record as far as looking at our past and all of the wonderful things that we've done in heavy metal
