I think it's in the nature of us all!! We build/create cliques. That's normal!!
The question is what kind of cliques!! 'n' I know MG didn't mean the "good" cliques!! 'n' there're other things here too. For an example:
One member is not online for a couple of days because of other businesses. "Oh.. she/he comes back when she/he is a true fan!!"
What a fricken statement!! I'm just a good n true fan when I stay all the time?? When she/he comes back: "Oh... you're just a true fan!!"
One member is offline just for a single day!! "Oh... come back soon... we miss ya... we luv ya....." n then comes the red carpet.
There are no pm's talking behind the back of other members?? - LMFAO -
I have read a lot of them about me n Kit Kat last year!! |

Becks, I tend to agree with you. For instance, if I went to a bar and didn't like the atmosphere, music, and clientel there I would simply choose not to go there anymore. I certainly wouldn't bust through the doors once a month and yell, "Everybody Sucks!" turn around and leave and expect everyone to think I was wonderful. As far as clicks/cliques, go; that is a figment of imagination. Apparently there was some background conversation going on to get this little conversation started in the first place. Interesting.

I agree with what Guido has said - I'm also here because I am isolated from any other true metal heads, and I wanted to talk to like minded people. I have to say, because I have never shit stirred, I was accepted here straight away. No cliques in evidence!

I use this site to express that emotion. Not much more than that except to see what other diehards think and feel (and COLLECT!!).

When I come to the site, I look for news, updated photos, then read the messages since last visit. I make a choice to interact in whichever thread I am in the mood to interact. And I am very thankful that, when the chips are down, the friendships I have developed over the few years I've been interacting here, these same people (yes, they are real people behind these user names - lol) are what keep me returning.
It comes as no surprise to me that there will be people who want to stir things up for whatever reason. Like 'Freeze and Guido have mentioned, some simply use the annonymity of the internet to elevate themselves in their own minds. [edit: no MG, this comment is not primarily directed at you, it is a general reference. I hadn't noticed you out and about 'til I initially posted.]
Thinking back, Murray had just the right amount of topics, but the fans' wishes ultimately prevailed, there are any number of threads and topics ... and here we are. Guess another good saying to consider this day is, "careful what you wish for" ...

Lady B, in a "perfect" world, none of this happens. People come here, get along and we all enjoy our time together. As guido so eloquently points out, we are not dealing with "good" people. As we do not have mods here, it is up to us as a membership to stand together against idiocy. That is the way it is on this Board. Murray himself has said as much in that he does not believe he should have to "babysit". He is absolutely right.
What kind of a human being is so miserable that he takes pleasure in hurting others? This is known as a sociopath and we have at least one among us. As I mentioned yesterday, this person hates those around him that have what he never will, strength. His only recourse is to attempt to establish (in HIS mind) a sense of superiority by hurting others. A bully. An insecure, sick and very weak bully. And those that join him share in that same insecurity. It is the tie that binds their ilk. You don't have to train the dogs to fight to bet on them. Equally disgusting.
For whatever reason, a grown adult has taken the pain of a life that clearly did not turn out as he wished and turned that pain against us in an attempt to relieve the embarrassment and anguish that he cannot escape in that life. Here he is somewhat anonymous. Here he is safe from physical attack. Here he is superior in his mind as he can upset others and , thereby, feels that power over them. He can manipulate.
We cannot allow such a person to hurt our friends. As guido said, we will not. We can ignore and we try to do so but there comes a point when confrontation is inescapable, lest we lose this Board forever. I do not intend to see that happen to the satisfaction of one or two very sad and weak persons.

Bear with me a while...since am here i saw like u some not so good ppl doing things to others and like u ,i was appalled by what theyre were doing..but i never played their games like some of u right now have done and still doing..
