Oh' wait, it's supposed to flood this weekend. I went
to our area dam today just to look at the water. The banks
are overflowing already with rain predicted all weekend. |

...Looks nice though...
It just sucks that we got nearly a foot of snow last week followed by 4 more a few days later.
The last time we got this much snow when it melted we got flooded. The river is already high
so it's not looking good. |

Ah, no. I am from the north and we don't get snow here every year. When we don't, I really miss it. Thus, the yearly ski-trips.
Worse thing here is driving as most don't know how to drive on snow. While I do, the real danger comes from others on the road. Woohoo! The snow did, indeed, shut down the city...no work for Guido today (well, at least I can watch the Olympics and do it in my pjs, better said).
My yard has a pretty good hill too. I think I'll break out the skurfer!

Damned if it isn't snowing here again. What started as rain has now turned into the white stuff.
Interesting how relative things can be...what is absolutely nothing in terms of accumulation in the north brings the south to a screeching halt. |

So I light a fire! Takes care of any snow-filled anything!
The skurfer to which I refer is a snow skurfer. Basically, it is a sled you stand upon. It has a rope tied to the front of the board. Looks like a pointy skateboard with a rope tied to the front. I am thinking of taking it down the roof of my A-frame. Wish me luck.
