Well, that's true. Everyone plays other people's songs for a while. But if you're up to it . . . write ! To me, music is all about expression and communication. Why would you want to communicate someone else's feelings ? Something I have always loved to do is to turn on the radio ( especially when KNAC was still on the air ) and ignore the vocals. Then I would just solo all over it like it was my personal backing track. Every time the song changes, you have to change with it. The key changes, the tempo changes, the type of emotion changes, etc. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by paperflowers from Wednesday, April 22, 2009 7:04:54 AM) | | paperflowers wrote: | | uhhh so if I didn't learn any songs then what would I be playing? are there chord scales? | | TIMBONI wrote: | | I never really got into playing other people's songs. Doing basic bar chords can be frustrating, as they don`t really follow a riff. But, they can be helpful teaching you the feel and basic sounds in a particular key.
I can`t read sheet at all, just tabs, and even that is limited as I always tend to loose my place!! What options do they have in stock? If they have a website, drop me the link.... They have several Jackson`s (new and used) and the new production Charvel`s in stock that I can walk out with.
They have this specific guitar on the wall, but for 1.5g`s but I really want it!!! They also have one with EMG`s

The SL2-H is a killer piece. Which variant did you get? There is one with an alder body and two with mahogany. If black was an option, odds are you have the alder one with a flamed maple top..

Ok. The Green Laminate Flame. I went for an oldschool (martyKroft) Glow Death vibe. THe black was cheaper but uavailable. But i wouldnt have went black anyways. I bought it for the wood. And for the slick neck jackson feel. |

ESP has pushed it back until June, this is not acceptable to me so I have arranged to go in this weekend and select something else.
The dealer also offerd me a equal trade , so when this thing does show up, they will give me what I payed for my alternate to trade for the M-1. Not a bad deal, but I see a Jackson or Charvel in my near future!!!! |

It's not like the rep put any effort into it, either. I'm more than certain that Musician's Friend, Sam Ash, or any other chain has a few in stock and they would gladly return part of their stagnant inventory than let is sit and depreciate...
The rep really poked your pooper on this one, and should have put some sort of work into it.... |

I had a car dealer tell me that the toyota camrys I had ordered were delayed due to storms in the pacific delaying the boat. fine, except, they are made in kentucky. how the fuck did they get on a boat? I think it`s both ESP and my dealer. Esp should`ve been able to produce it asap after ordering it and my dealer is mostly a second hand dealer with the coolst inventory you could imagine of older and vintage model equipment. They weren`t there Saturday afternoon, sign on the door said"Gone to Guitar Show"!!!
So off to Dallas I went. Didn`t see any of them, talked to a guy at the ESP booth and he took my info.
Aside from that saw some good playing. But Lynch was no where on the schedule, he must have cancelled??! I would surmise that someone seriously dropped the ball or your dealer has credit issues with their supplier.... |
