I'm not gonna go back and check your post but you basically said in the past that Priest were all in their 60's and pretty much too old to produce another classic album equal in quality to your "top 5 priest albums". I think they were Sad Wings,British Steel,Painkiller, SFV, Defenders?? I would say that is being a naysayer but whatever. If you want to settle on another A.O.R. type album that's ok with me. I'm still holding out for something more than that. And I like Desert Plains, it's top notch, so I won't be crying.

Naysayer? I think I'm gonna love the new LP,if its in the vein of Painkiller and not Retribution I'll be just as happy,I love the Painkiller LP always have,but if its in the vien of Retribution like Ian Hill says it is then I'll be just as happy Brain,if its in the vien of British Steel and Screaming For Vengeance mixed with Painkiller I'll be happy.
There are tons of combinations that will make me happy,its " YOU AND HELLRIDER" are the ones who are counting on this LP to be one way,screaming guitars and screaming vocals. If they write a track like Desert Plains or Pain And Pleasure you both will cry like babies. Its the two of YOU that are stacking up the odds against a perfect Painkiller album.
I never said it will 100% definately be one way or the other,go back and read my posts. If you and Hellrider actually do like this new album I will be utterly shocked,utterly "shocked". This new album will be for fans like myself,Guido,spapad,Head Banger,HRMG,Becks,Vail,and other elite members here,I'm sure we will like the majority of the new album,at least 8 songs out of 10 I figure.

But let's get the facts straight. Others have estimated that there's about 100 members that are actually active and read the forums at least once a week or so. And of that 100 probably only one quarter post there regularly. Those who read these forums already have most, if not every Priest item they can buy.
So, instead of trying to tell us to buy more Priest records etc., why don't you go on some other forum or out in the public to tell people who aren't familiar with Priest how great the band is? That would be a far more effective way to increase Judas Priest's popularity and record sales than preaching the same things over and over again on a forum where people are already well familiar with the band.
