My god man I can't imagine "The Metal God" walking off the bus and taking a picture...your right, what a gentleman totally!! That would be so awesome and so glad to hear that man. Yeah I know you've met him a few times but I'm sure it don't get boring!! Lol.
It's insane how good Rob sounds and sure without Glenn on Studio it wouldn't really be authentic Classic Priest, but since he IS still on the albums makes Ritchie an elite Judas Priest member, especially after 2 studio albums written along with Rob and Glenn...and 3 years left to go,he'll be a member of Judas Priest for "10" years a freakin decade!
Just love Ritchie man, sure Ken is OUR fav Always will be but it doesn't take away the fact of how important Ritchie is to Judas Priest. Anybody who says He's not is delusional. Totally different style than K.K.'s solos and riffs yet so right for this band. I couldn't imagine Priest ever getting rid of him FOR K.K. back.
When K.K. said he was shocked and stunned HE wasn't asked back to "HIS ORIGINAL ROLE" in the band... that really means booting out Ritchie and putting K.K. in.
Would be nice though to have K.K.,Ritchie and GLENN on an album and see K.K. And Ritchie play live with Glenn on the encores when possible. But for now this band is firing on all cylinders!

Damn straight, buddy.
Someone not knowing GLENN, though? Damn!!! They were not worthy of being at that show! lol It shoulda been ME!!!
Still, lucky indeed. Glad to read all of your stories. People meeting band members and such. Funny with Rob as I had brought a copy of Firepower with me and carried the damn thing in a bag with all my tech through the entire show. When he just popped out of the darkness in hat and glasses dressed in black in the dark by the busses, though? I didn't even think to bother the man for more than a picture. As you said, I had met him once before with Guitardude at the Meet and Greet in Texas and again in Detroit. I have his autograph a bunch of times. That pic is priceless!
guido... hell yeah man...I read your post too about you getting your pics with Rob off the tour bus...totally awsome!! What a RUSH even though you've met him before and all... still it's THE METAL GOD! When Glenn walked out the place ERUPTED man...I too started celebrating high fivin some fans around me and I looked behind me was a 21 yr old kid that looked puzzled like "what's the big deal and who is the old guy with the guitar"?? Lofl. 99% of the place went nuts though...
Saxon was awesome too man,Biff and Co. Kick ass don't they? Thunderbolt is a very kick butt album, the nod to Lemmy and Motorhead "They Played Rock and Roll" off the new album is an instant Saxon Classic.... such an underrated heavy metal band.
We are very lucky to have Glenn on the Firepower album man that is HUGE and really how good Firepower really is... I have said Redeemer is the 4th best Priest favorite and Firepower top It.
Sad Wings of Destiny, British Steel,Screaming for Vengeance,Defenders of the Faith,Painkiller.... If Firepower isn't equal to these records it's so DAMN CLOSE it's uncanny,so close.... so good of classic Judas Priest GEMS all 14 tracks that it' seriously doesn't get any better especially how each album is different... dude we are lucky to have THIS quality this late in the game. Pretty impressive more than ANY BAND EVER.

Absolutely insane! Your concert sounded great too, man. Very happy for you! A Glenn concert to boot? NICE! I would have written a response when I read your posts the first time but I didn't want to stomp all over the vid but you KNOW I read every word!
My show? Great but the best was that me and my buddy step out back to the tour busses...only to find Rob! Took a quick picture with each of us and off he went. Was snowing and all. What a gentleman! SOOO glad the picture turned out as well. Would likely have whipped my phone into a wall if it didn't capture it!! Once in a lifetime, buddy! \m/
Guido! Thanks man... YES! This is the octave screams at the end he hits and man in that video isn' that insane or what?
Not sure why he can' reach the very FIRST scream in the song,I mean it' still killer and all man but it must be pretty difficult and usually at the end he almost reaches this octave but very rarely...
And yes this video is how the END of Painkiller sounded...almost album perfect! Just great!!

I'm not sure how to post videos from my phone but if you go to YOUTUBE and type in "Rob Halford leaving it all on stage" its live at the Prudential theatre 3/20/18
(guido if you can post this clip I would highly appreciate it when ya have time)
it'll show the end of Painkiller where he sings "Pain...Pain...Killa...killa...Pain...Pain...Killa...Killerrrrr"...listen to how HIGH his range is on that very note... And watch how out of breath Rob is right after he belts it out gasping for breaths of air ..... fucking A man his heart and soul are into this...
I know he can't hit the octave like this at every show but this little clip PROVES he "sometimes does hit the very same high octave range SCREAM in Painkiller".
He didn't hit that note early the first time in the song THAT HIGH in octave range in this clip at the Prudential theatre but at the Showare Center last night he hit it like THE STUDIO ALBUM damn near close enough...both screams in Painkiller and it was even better than the clip at the Prudential theatre too.
It was amazing! I saw the clip from the Kent show last night on YouTube Metal Gods ....at the end Rob hugs Glenn and gives him a kiss on the cheek as he did a few weeks ago...I missed it really quick cause I was high fivin' people around me!!
The energy from this sold out show was amazing, you couldn't fit one more person in the place and even Ian looked stoked...ha ha he didn't move much from his spot at my show either lol however his bass neck was swinging all over the place as he was INTO IT...Scott too.... just a superb show all the way around! @vail... also I was referring to the both screams at the end of Painkiller, the first signature SCREAM at the beginning of the song he didnt hit like the album and can't hit often,he did in 2014 at the Tacoma Dome, last night his first scream wasn't as high( BUT STILL KILLER) as the last 2 screams at the end and idk why he can hit the 2 screams at the end in that octave as shown in the Prudential theatre clip but he can't seem to reach it that FIRST scream....
Well im sure it's a bitch to do in the first place lol. The Last 2 screams were spot on album like.... even that is rare...and it was kick buttocks!!
Yeah seeing Glenn walk out from behind the curtains was magical, and he kicked ass ... signaling the crowd fist to chest a couple times and back out at the crowd. Yeah it was awsome. Edited at: Monday, April 16, 2018 10:55:26 PM
Man, it's so awesome to read that you saw a great show, JD. And to have Glenn show up to play?? Holy crap!!!
Also liked what you said about Glenn fighting against all odds to make a performance or two during this tour. Shit, he's fightin' this disease to the bone!!! We are not worthy!!!

Holy Shit we just got out of the Showare Center in Kent,Wa here....SOLD OUT SHOW GUYS!!!! And to top it off....GLENN WAS HERE!!! FUCK YEAH!!
When Glenn walked out on Stage during encore the place UTTERLY ERUPTED and went totally BALLISTIC and fucking LOUD MAN what a RUSH to see him,I know in his heart he wants to do every show I'm sure, but how lucky we were to see him jam on stage and play Metal Gods and solo flawlessly, Breaking the Law and Living After Midnight and solo flawlessly....never WAS so happy to hear those tracks again that I used to tire of... WOW!
And again here in Washington State he nailed PAINKILLER and the SCREAM was so damn near PERFECT or it actually was perfect lol. I never thought he'd hit those notes but god damn it was fuckin killer! Andy was great had great stage presence and guitar parts and solos were excellent!
Saxon blew the roof off prior,Biff and the boys were in top form and there isn't a band in the WORLD better to open for Judas Priest! Saxon blew a lot of minds here and gained some fans with this performance.... a big thank you to Saxon!!!
Rob's vocals at 66 years old is fucking incredible... I know Budred's show and Head Bangers show he may of been sick,etc... And he won't be perfect every night but god damn guys like in 2014 Redeemer Of Souls tour in the Tacoma Dome he hit that signature Painkiller SCREAM...i thought he wouldnt be able to either but he fuckin did man...hopefully there is a youtube clip of it even with crappy quality you'll hear he hits it. Maybe its the wet moist air up here idk?
I talked to a few meatheads after the show and even they said they can't believe how excellent he sang Painkiller yet other youtube concerts he doesnt nail it like he can up here..idk I know it sounds like bullshit but by god damn on my mother's grave he hit the Painkiller notes the entire song!!! I've got nothing bad to say here.
It was absolutely excellent man fucking A!!! And hails to Glenn Tipton for making it out here on a rainy Sunday night in the state where it rains the most ....
And what an emotional feeling for me having posters of this guy plastered all over my bedroom walls as a kid growing up in the early 80's and with his condition walking out on Stage and rocking out with the guys like he just refuses to give in to that ugly disease he's battling....
Glenn thank you we love you man!!!! Edited at: Monday, April 16, 2018 2:09:40 AM

KEWL, man!!! My show was tops as well. I chuckled at the "Ian didn't move" comment as he sure as HELL didn't at my show either! On the other hand, I parked right in front of Richie and literally took hundreds of shots of him! Rob came over and....to top it all? My buddy and I caught him at the bus! Nobody but Rob came out as it was snowing. Great moment. Quick picture and...HE'S GOOOONE!!! lol
Concert review finally. Did not have time while in Denver. To busy hiking.
Did not think I would like BSR, but they were good. Crowd was half there (Thin Lizzy in Calgary for Epitath played to maybe 500 by the end of their set) more energy
Saxon was good also. Sound quality where I was could have been better, but they were good, first time seeing them
Priest was great. They figured out the sound quality issues. Richie seemed to spend a lot of time very far left on the stage. made photos hard. I think Ian wants to play behind the curtain. He hardly moved from his spot. came out and headbanged with andy a couple of times. Andy, Richie and Rob got headbanging together a few times. Scott was very into it all.
Rob sounded good, cant do the notes in painkiller, which is not new, and one song (I forget which one) he seemed off key the whole song, but it was a good show. New stuff sounded spot on to me
Rob didnt introduce anyone in the band, which I thought was odd.
If this tour gets this way I will go see them again. Glad I went, Denver is a nice area, got some good hiking in also.

Acolyte.... what a joke huh? The only GOOD thing is i think when we got screwed with our accounts so did those 2 stupid fucktarded assholes flick my boogers and his fat idiot who worshiped him. Fuck off to those 2 fucking dumb fucks....this place has been NICE without them. I'll bet they are floored they can't log onto the forum .... only can read what us TRUE Judas Priest fans are saying. They were anything BUT fans of our favorite band. Fuck those 2 fucking idiots. No more.
Firepower is so great of an album it's so close to Screaming For Vengeance....maybe not AS GOOD but does it really have to be? No. Not to mention it's almost utterly impossible to match that album even WITH K.K. Just love every track.... Glenn's slide guitar solo in Flame Thrower is absolutely kick ass bad ass and fucking brilliant! It's so Tipton it's great....all his solos...
First main solo in the middle of Evil Never Dies The entire solo on Never The Heroes The 2nd trade off solo on Necromancer The 2nd solo on Children Of The Sun The 2nd solo in Rising From Ruins The 2nd slide guitar solo in Flame Thrower The entire solo in No Surrender The first main solo in Sea Of Red
All the GREAT GLENN TIPTON.
Plus dual harmonies solos with Ritchie in Firepower Lightning Strike Guardians Traitors Gate......
A big fuck off to those out there who think he's not on this album!

Listening to...PRIEST!!! KILLER concert!!! A+++
Just wish Glenn was there....sniff.
I knew it would be different as well. I think he could remain true to their sound though. He chooses not to. When you're seeing Judas Priest on stage but it's not really sounding like them it's a little weird. I enjoyed it. I drove 5hrs to see it a second time. I might not have the same enthusiasm if they do another tour though.

Regarding the metal blah thread (my account has a malfunction that restricts me to the newbie theads...thanks a lot "Murray").
I'm not going to the concert to expect to hear Glenn and K.K.'s signature style and sound. Not at all. I already know it's not going to SOUND like the original sound of Priest...when Glenn said he can't tour anymore that pretty much means the band is retired from touring etc... the tour we are seeing now is in HONOR and is in the SPIRIT and cellebration of Judas Priest.
Album wise...yes Firepower is is so close to elite albums like Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders Of The Faith that it's practically pressed up against one another in excellence. It's as CLOSE in quality as it can be without Mr. Downing in our band.
But again, these shows should be a cellebration of the spirit of Judas Priest and I can't wait for the 15th!!!

@Head Banger ... ya know I think I may of jumped a little too far in saying that Firepower is equal to any classic Priest album only because somehow I forget that one element is missing from the album that might of pushed it into equality and changed it a little too for the better ...... "K.K.Downing".
(Caught up in the moment perhaps?)
Maybe so BUT the album IS right behind Classics though,so damn close to albums like British Steel,Screaming for Vengeance,Defenders of the Faith and Painkiller... A.O.R. ..... it's so close to these group of albums it's uncanny. Ritchie's solos are incredibly excellent for JP. Yeah this album is defiantly standing tall along side those albums very very closely especially without K.K. Downing which is pretty impressive.

And watch the end of the clip Rob walks over to Glenn and kisses him on the cheek, then Glenn thinks about walking up front but stops because I think he realized he needed Rob's help...then Rob grabs his arm and helps him up front... it's just awesome.
I know some are "sad" to see Glenn like this but look past this terrible disease and see the warrior in Glenn ....
Taking medication, probably feeling like shit "diarrhea, head ache, muscle ache, nausea stomach Fatigue LACK of energy....
And through it all Glenn finds the right moments between it all or even during some of it to come out and blast some Priest heavy metal as he said,it's just unbelievable and shows how much he cares about US. WE LOVE YOU GLENN !!!!!!!!!!!! Edited at: Sunday, March 25, 2018 2:00:25 PM

how the fuck does a flamethrower stun you? other than that line I love the song
This part is stellar!!!! Rays of redemption Fall from the sky Into the maelstrom Blink of an eye
I can't. Your the 100% most hardest(or most frustrating)Priest fan to figure out HB. But it's all good.

I said I like every song on this album but in 38yrs of following Priest I've never said that before. Got booted from a JP group for trolling fanboys. Messed up though because I liked the group otherwise. Regardless the fanboy role is not me and never will be. I know you weren't referring to me but I just want people to know that how I feel about this record is special and not just fanboydom.

I like Flame Thrower, but rising from ruins and childred of the sun are my current favorites. not sure why I like children, but I do. explain that to me JD
Budred.... I agree 100%. To me in my honest opinion Firepower is EQUAL to any top notch album.Never in a million years I thought I'd be saying THAT but the songs and album speak for itself. 99% of Judas Priest's fan base will hail this as top 5,6 or 7th best album of all time....
Guardians/ Rising From Ruins is as good as Victim Of Changes,Sinner,HBFL,Hellion/Electric Eye....etc.
Very good album. Head Banger especially likes Flame Thrower. ME TOO!!

I think it could be their best album ever. It may not have a Painkiller or Freewheel Burning or All Guns Blazing but it does have some fantastic tracks on it. Those tracks are some of my favorite Priest songs but they are not on my favorite Priest album. My favorite is Stained Class. (I'm getting to a point). A few stellar songs but the reason it's my favorite is because of it's overall consistency. Other than one track it's great from beginning to end. All other Priest albums seem to have about 3 or 4 tracks I could pass on. I'm loving Firepower because it has some great tracks and it is definitely consistent. I think every song on it is at worst a good one. Some parts of some songs is some of the heaviest Priest I've ever heard. Rob's vocals amaze me right now. My complaint about Redeemer was production. No issues here with that. This album screams. Add to all that I'm hearing various stages of Priest including Demolition throughout the disc but it all has a modern feel to it. Because of the modernization, the great tracks, and overall consistency I feel comfortable saying this could be their overall best effort to date. You guys know I will state displeasure. I have nothing negative what so ever to say about Firepower. Thank you to Judas Priest. This is what I've been waiting for since Rob came back. A little late but I'll take it.
...my opinion, it only matters to me. To each his own.

@HB .... you can put Firepower at #18 last ranked album. It's not going to make me lose any sleep over it or anything and I'm not trying to change yer mind dude and sure we all have different opinions etc... but telling me that Flame thrower lyrics are not legendary meaning "not very brilliant" .... what about Wheels Of Fire? Any more brilliant than Flame Thrower?
Love Bites? Eat Me Alive? Rock Hard Ride Free? All 3 from an album most claim thier best.

no, thats not a stellar lyric. How about I put this album ahead of point of entry?
I dont hate parental guidance. I see it for what it was, targeted at teens at the time. of course I was 12 when it came out, so easy for me to say it worked. sell out? sure. worked too right, first albut to platinum, although long term SFV has now outsold it, as it rightfully should. Sea of red is much shorter, that makes it better than Lochness. I tend to forget lochness when I think of AOR, because I just skip the damn thing right away. You saying Sea Of Red is no better than Lochness makes as much sense as somebody telling me "parental Guidance" is as good as "The Hellion/Electric Eye".

As Acolyte - iron Maiden -book of souls has a lyric that says "Climb like a monkey from Hell" THAT is crap lol, I love the group here, we can disagree and not have it get out of hand, good dose of respect for all, we all love the band for different reasons and hate/do not enjoy aspects of their music for different reasons ,none of us are "fanboys/Fangirls, like I said on the other page, I am happy that the sales could convince the band to do more shows as it picks up more and more steam and I could get to see them a little closer to home than a 16 hour round trip, cheers all

its no better than lochness. I dunno, I cant get into it.somehow the album doesnt quite grab me like AOR did, but its still a very good album to be sure.
Man I love Sea Of Red,I think its classic Priest at it's best and only reminds me of something that would of been recorded in the 70's like after Hero's End on Stained Class, not sure HOW that hurts the album HB it's definitely better than Lochness what A.O.R. left us with to end an album (shrugging shoulders with hands out) lol.
The title track "FIREPOWER " reminds me of Freewheel Burning/the title track Screaming For Vengeance/The Sentinel/Between The Hammer & The Anvil and a small tiny salt pinch of the title track Painkiller thrown in there is what my thoughts are absorbing while I listen to it but yet has it's own sound and style at the same time which is brilliant...
Lightning Strike is so good of a song it's instant classic Priest that's topped Hell Patrol and Redeemer Of Souls the title track... Evil Never Dies Chorus "Beware of Voodoo in the night....The Devil's got you in his sight".....REEKS of the spirit of "Devil's Child" and I love it! Never The Heroes is just absolutely great like Desert Plains,Worth Fighting For is....excellent track. Necromancer is so great it's equal to The Sentinel,Night Crawler,Demonizer and Hellrider! One of my favorites and Children Of The Sun is fuckin SOLID Judas Priest that has a small pinch of British Steel guitar tone with Firepower's style ..."MOUNTAINS START TO CRUMBLE....TUMBLE IN THE SEAAAAAYEAHHH!!! " Fuckin EPIC!!! One of the highlights of the album!
Guardians is so epic it does capture the imaginary image of Ritchie standing alongside Glenn on Mountain Peaks hair blowing in the wind with guitars in hand just classic Priest sound falls over the valleys below... and then Rising From Ruins is as good as any Judas Priest song ever written(I truely belive that it is)and solidifies the album even more. Guardians/Rising From Ruins = perfection.
Flamethrower is another gem that's got the spirit of Point Of Entry written all over it especially the pre chorus backing harmony vocals Rob sings "Nothing to rival This heavy load,Prey for survival End of the road..."...I can see Rob pounding his fist on the speakers singing the chorus to Flamethrower in the Hot Rockin video in my mind, total Point Of Entry with a Firepower style...love it!
Spectre is absolutely awesome and even creepier than Cold Blooded from R.O.S. even tops A Touch Of Evil ....very creepy track and very top notch memorable....Traitors' Gate is totally another Gem as it's incredibly classic and is also very QUALITY Judas Priest at thier very best,I love this track!!
No Surrender is another favorite and Glenn has created another "Running Wild" vibe and it reminds me of his message to never give up,even with what he's going through, the melodies are off the hook excellent and ahain, the lyrics are so powerful it's uncanny Tipton song writing at his very best, god I love this song thank you Glenn!! Lone Wolf is also so memorable and so catchy it sticks in my head as one bad ass song,it REEKS of classic Judas Priest and fits into the album flawlessly. I'm not speaking for anybody but myself but yes,to me,and my opinion Firepower is equal to any of Judas Priest's best albums. Long live TITANICUS - ULTIMATE GOD OF FIREPOWER!!

I think its very good. Could be top 5. as good as the best? not quite IMO. Sea of Red hurts it to me, and its just not quite there. still a hell of a comeback from the last 2
Well the new album has been out for one week now. I've listened to it almost every night in its entirety all 14 tracks. Holy fucking shit this album is KICK FUCKING ASS!
So much so that because I've studied this record for a week straight ..... with no problems I deem the Firepower album "AS GOOD AS ANY JUDAS PRIEST ALBUM". PERIOD.
Sad Wings of Destiny,Sin After Sin,Stained Class,Hell Bent For Leather,British Steel,Screaming For Vengeance,Defenders of the Faith,Painkiller...... and all other Judas Priest albums....FIREPOWER is EQUAL to any of them and it's NOT a slab towards K.K....its the songs speaking for themselves.Every track is etched in stone a classic Judas Priest Gem!!! Every track!!
If a Judas Priest fan,new or old does not like the Firepower album, to me because of how strong the album is in QUALITY they are nothing but a FOOL! A FOOL!!
I'LL respect but not give 2 cents about others opinions because this is thier best album every bit of how Sad Wings,British Steel and SCREAMING for For Vengeance could be thier best,Firepower is EQUAL. The closest term in all that convo is actually "echo" however even that term is too vague as "echo" (called "eco" [sic]) could also be the example given of someone singing along with "row row row your boat" AFTER the original line is sung: thus the true echo. INSTUMENTAL echo would be closer but, again, the term I offered, "mimesis" is really a synomym here. The latter is even more accurate for it MIMICS, not ECHOES the vocal with an instrument. "Instrumental mimesis?" Sure. More accurate still. It is NOT "reprise" nor is it "call and answer" as suggested by the posts in the link below. They are just wrong. Those are diferent concepts in music altogether.

First off: I Should of never gave an opinion without hearing the ENTIRE album. With that out of the way now,I have listened to the album all the way through with no interruptions a few different times now and in my opinion Firepower could be equal to ANY Judas Priest album and if it's not then Firepower is slightly behind thier top 3 albums by a nose hair like in a horse race. It's THAT GOOD in my honest opinion. I am blown away by this record!!!!!!

Judas Priest pop up store in New York looks like a mini museum, definitely cool stuff in there of the bands for sure. Love the new album... I think it holds up to past albums,I really do.
Love the way this describes the track Guardians:
Firepower’s most surprising moments come during its centerpiece, the towering duo made up of “Guardians” and “Rising from Ruins.” An understated piano interlude builds to Priest marching gallantly to mountain-top peaks, standing triumphantly over their metal legacy. They traverse trade-off solo jungles and navigate a labyrinthine performance from Travis to a place utterly divorced from the song’s somber, militaristic start.
Mimicry (mimic) is the only way I have ever known it termed when a guitar imitates the vocals. Immediate example off this album: the end of "Flame Thrower."
happy so far with this disk. missing one thing, not sure if that was a kk thing or what,Priest always used to have some songs where the guitars would imitate the vocals for sections. Anyone know what that is called?
Anyway, its not in my top 5 yet, but like it

Buying 5 CDs was not so much a point of what to do with the cds but rather excited to see album sales in the first week results to be record breaking. I bought 10 A.O.R. cds at that time and kept 2 gave away the rest I actually don't think I have anymore. R.O.S. I bought 4 cds ...kept one for collection, girlfriend and one I listen to,lend to people and gave one away ... I'll end up giving 2 Firepower cds to someone who'll dig it.But girlfriend has one and one goes in my CD collection, the other I'm jsming on.
Glenn plays/shares solos on 6 tracks: Necromancer,Children Of The Sun,Rising From Ruins,Flamethrower,No Surrender,Sea of Red. Does Glenn Play the solos on Never The Heroes?

Why not just jump right in and buy an autographed LP? Buy ONE deluxe CD in advance (man, coming DSL?! Will take AGES to get here..wonder if my signed LP from the UK will arrive before the swag from Texas?) and download when it goes live like the rest of us? What did you ever do with 10 AOR CDs?! HAAA!!! I may buy the same Priest recording many a time but at least I have SOME sort of difference. Sure, playable one, collectable one, autographed one, picture discs, CDs, cassettes, autographed...
"Heart-warming." Nicely put there. I'd agree with that one. Also certainly say "different" but, at the same time, unmistakably, Judas Priest! Blessed be the Metal Gods! I am not worthy!
Dude YES! I bought 10 cds of Angel Of Retribution in 2005 lol Yes guido I wasn't listening to the album but more panicked that I wasn't immediately hearing Glenn's solos cause that's what I've done for so long bro,I didn't listen to it properly and spoke to soon out of frustration and I was "butthurt" for the wrong reasons.
Man but he does play solos on 6 tracks from what my ears are hearing and it's fucking utterly amazing he's played all those rhythms and the solos he plays, every Priest record is so DIFFERENT from one another like you've known from day one of course and this one is up there with the best albums for sure.
And Ritchie Faulkner? Holy shit he is so excellent especially on this album it's mind blowing, and the solos Glenn plays are so honest with passion and feeling it's just heart warming. I fucking love this record man,Necromancer is my FAVORITE track off the album!

HAAA! Glad you have warmed up to the album a bit, J.D. FIVE cds?
Fuckin A This album is KICK ASS ALL THE WAY THRU!!! Every track"EVERY" TRACK kicks ass QUALITY
. Even if Glenn did just song writing and rhythms and Ritchie played all solos it STILL would kick ass(he plays solos on 6 tracks from what Im hearing)
I was so wrong and was butt hurt for the wrong reasons and after listening to the record on the computer last night by this morning I was so excited I went down town to a place called Silver Platters and bought 5 CDs!!!!
Yep one for me,my girlfriend one for collection and 2 for idk yet (lol) but bought 5 cost $66 and change ... this album is amazing it really is man it could be ranked 5th,6th,7th best of course up to our opinions but still....
I get it if someone can't listen because of K.K and Glenn's old school style isn't present or I could agree with someone who thinks it's thier best of all time or somewhere inbetween... what ever the case I'm reading 95% maybe more who love this album so they did something right.

I am just stuck on how many songs I love on this recording! One rolls into another. Flame Thrower to Spectre to Tratitor's Gate to No Surrender? Helluva run right there! DAYUM! Firepower to Lightning Strike to Evil Never Dies to Never the Heroes?
I think this is outstanding. Better than I could have hoped. In a day when I am scrounging to find what I think is quality metal? Leave it to Priest to kick the door down yet again. I fucking LOVE it!
I think Glenn plays solos on 5 tracks is what I think at least shared with Ritchie..... the album is much much better than what I gave it credit for last night.... this is excellent and definitely rates higher than #12 in thier discography..... definitely in thier top 6 or 7 albums thumbs wayyy up

I think I have to let go of my cravings for his lead work and focus on the songs instead.
After a few weeks or so I need help with finding other Glenn solos,I think he has a solo in Flamethrower but its hard to tell,I thought he played the second half of Firepower solo only to see a video of Ritchie playing the entire solo so let me know if he has more than one solo but right now Im very happy to hear this album!

3:30am and I just can't stop listening to it! Yeah, would be NICE to have Glenn do more solos, would be NICE to have KK. I am just thrilled with this one!
No Surrender in my ears now! Freaking KICK ASS in my book! A++ Barely HOURS out of the gate? I am basking in the glory of this monster!
Heard the entire album and I definitely give Judas Priest kudos and an A+ for effort on Firepower...they did the best they were ABLE to do. Glenn is only on "1" song he solos on Necromancer. This hampers the album imo because K.K. and Glenn's solos were so important to the signature Priest sound, even without K.K. Glenn's solos on 8 tracks from Redeemer Of Souls and you hear his guitar soloing ... But he is reduced to Rhythm here so IF Glenn was able to solo half the record it would of put Firepower ranked top 5 but because there is no K.K. or Glenn's solos I am forced to rank it #12 .... Firepower is better than Rocka Rolla,Nostradamous,Ram It Down,Jugulator,Demolition and Turbo. But not better than the other 11 studio albums. I pray this will be thier last album because without Glenn on tour and barely on the album it's "TIME". Again,I'll celebrate the spirit of JP and glad Glenn could even do as little as he has here. Good job Priest and after this tour I think it's time to hang up the leathers and go out gracefully.
