We just got back from the Cleveland and Detroit shows. Priest was INCREDIBLE!!! I had tears in my eyes during Victim of Changes in Cleveland - it was THAT awesome! I have to say, the men of Priest are so incredibley nice. Scott, Glenn, KK and Ian all stopped before getting on their bus in Cleveland and signed autographs and took pictures with us. Then KK remembered me from the night before and reached out and shook my hand during the Detroit show and said, "Hello again!" He also sang Grinder to me.... Grinder...looking for meat, Grinder.... wants you to eat and of course I was singing it right back to him! At the end of the Detroit show, Scott saw me and handed me a drumstick!!

Good morning, I would like to offer an opportunity to change the subject.
I woke up covered in swet this morning after the following nightmare:
My daughter & I were at the JP concert and a great surprise, some of my high school friends had seats next to us. All of a sudden, the fire alarm went off but nothing was noticeable. I took my daighter to the main lobby areas just in case to see what was happening.
There was my cousin from CA with some cart full of lotions she was selling. She had to get the cart clear across the stadium(per emergency instructions by the company) or she was liable for the cost of product. She is very over weight and I knew she would never make it.Here is the nighmareSavannah & I get the cart there & seeing there is no fire rush back to our seats
WE MISSED LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT< BREAKING THE LAW< VICTIM OF CHANGE AND DIAMONDS AND RUST was already started
It was horrible, we just sat there in disbelief, then I woke up
It was really horrible, we missed the songs we most wanted to hear  I was so glad it was only a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!! |

all i can say about the show is Holy Fucking Shit. I had the time f my life, ears are stll ringing. Im still smiling from ear to ear. and hot rockin metal godess im really sorry i missed u at the show.although i did see a girl with the priest cross on her pants, and a guy with a ram it down shirt. if i knew it was u i wouldve yelled something. anyways i had the time of my life and i will remember it forever. |

So funny. Stupid story..
I was listening to the live halford disc the week before the show. He does the same thing on there.. and for a good two weeks I would piss my fiance off...
I would come on walk in the door be all pumped from rocking the live cd.. and scream "breaking the what".... eventually.. he stopped talking me to me if I even mentioned that. He is such a baby and not really a priest fan..So when we were at the show I had turn around and see if he watching when halford did it..
... yeah the fucker gives me the middle finger. But I took this picture and put it on the fridge just to keep pissing him off... After 10 years of dating I have to piss em off somehow..

Funny you mention the hearing loss, I have major hearing issues and it is due to too many JP (and other) concerts but mostly JP. Back in the ealy 80's the had very little retrictions on both noise & pyro technics.

okay guys i couldnt come on yesterday because internet was down and i left at 11:00 to hang with alison and anthony, but then we left for cleveland and i couldnt stop smiling.
all i can say about the show is Holy Fucking Shit. I had the time f my life, ears are stll ringing. Whitesnake was okay, i only like doug aldrich because hes great and did good work on Holy Diver Live. | Welll the Cleveland show is now history..but what a show, the band was dead on, and Rob sounded great!!! Even the screams were brilliant! Even though the show was great, the highlite of the night was meeting the band! All the guys were awesome, and Rob actually sat down with me and we talked about Nostradamus and my continual listening of at least once a day for over a year now. The guys were very appreciative of my dedication to the record! I will never ever forget july 14, 2009 |

Saw Priest last night in NJ 07/11/09. The biggest highlight for me was Diamonds & Rust. Priest really put this on another plateau and there is a reason it is an encore. What a treat to hear the electric version again OMG. The British Steel set was fierce with Rapid Fire, Old to be Wise & Steeler as the standouts (IMO) and also The Rage was a pleasant surprise. The Ripper always does it for me...Prophecy seemed out out of whack with all the old stuff being played. They incl. Hell Patrol rather Rock Hard Ride Free, and Halford sounded great on it. The band was flawless especially KK going crazy on Victim & The Rage. The ho-hums were: United & Living After Midnight. Priest should have incl. proly 2 more songs to make it complete, but not playing anything from Stained Class HBFL or POE left a little bit of a void. The retro stage & the old style getup were very cool/nostaglic and it brought you back to the old days for sure. A buddy of mine wants me to fly down to FL in Aug. and see JP in St. Augustine. Im already looking into flights. It was that good and Priest should not be missed on this tour! MpleSyrp

I have been watching a few of the video clips and reading the comments here and something occurs to me; Now, is it just me or are there far more "meet-ups" this time around?? It seems to me that more and more of us are getting together for the shows. I have to say, THAT is really a wonderful testament to our family and this Band! It is just so gratifying to see so many members making plans to get together and the addition of so many "newbies" to these gatherings! How absolutely remarkable! I cannot recall such participation in years gone by.
For all the silliness and disagreements we experience here, it sure is great that we can all find others to join with and celebrate this wonderful Band! The memories we are creating today will live on in these Threads for years to come! The friendships we forge are bonds of steel. Who knows??...there may be an all new Faithful Defenders spawned from these meetings!! How great would THAT be?? To see another group of members get together and record this timeless music?? Oh how I would LOVE to hear THAT!!!!!!!

Did you go see Def Leppard yet? I saw them back in '88 and then again a couple years ago. Had a great time at both shows. But the one a couple years ago, I couldn't believe all the bras/panties being thrown up on stage and then all the boobs! There were little boys in the audience and you should have seen their faces ! YIKES. Man, it was worse than the '80s by far. Too bad Brett isn't filming another season of Rock of Love (or is he?) so we could see you in the audience in the show - how cool would THAT be? HAVE FUN!!

Yeah, "feeble of mind" is accurate from what I just read about the CD inserts. MY town? I am from Grosse Pointe, man! I only go to Pine Knob for concerts (and to laugh at people sliding down hills when it rains). Dress clothes? Bring wading boots! HAAA!!!! We have lawn seats! BWWWAHAAAHAAAAA!!!!!

It'll have to be before the Detroit show, since we will be at the Cleveland show the night before. I'll PM Guido and we can figure something out. I promised him several beers as I recall, so I'm sure he'll want to collect! As far as clothes go, I'd bring jeans and shorts 'cause ya never know what the weather is going to be like.

DF, not to worry, as long as you have SEATS that is. It's a pavilion. All the seats (and stage) have a roof above. The lawn is behind us and they are the ones who will be rained on. OH MY.... does this mean I finally get to see everyone slip sliding down the hill after the show?  Guido and I were joking about this earlier - I've never seen it myself but I can only imagine how funny it is!By the way, where are you guys sitting? We have 2nd row center seats. If we don't meet up before the show for lunch, at least we can find each other at the show.
