I have to say, I LOVE BOTH of them! Dio is absolutely incredible. He was awesome last year when Heaven and Hell toured with Priest. Great voice and great music writing ability. Ozzy makes me laugh and smile. I loved him in Sabbath and I love him solo too. Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman are two of my favorites. I love his energy on stage. He truly enjoys being up on stage and performing. His voice may not be what it was, but that doesn't change my opinion of him. He's kinda like that crazy uncle that you just can't help but love! |

| And chinese metal some songs sound kindof country because Zakk Wylde loves country music, black rain was alright there were some ballads on it (Here for you, and another i cant remember) but Blizzard of Oz, Diary of a madman and No More Tears are amazing. | JD i agree Dio was better solo, sabbath was great with Ozzy, altho Heavern and Hell and Mob Rules were amazing albums, The new album and dehumanizer is alright, and Dio's solo stuff is very underrated in my opinion. Its amazing. and not many people know about Strange Highways or Lock up the wolves or even sacred heart. those are all amazing albums |

That may be,but the new "Heaven & Hell" album titled "The Devil You Know" may have a kick ass art-work cover to the album,but the music is very overrated and "dull".
I think that the albums "Heaven & Hell"...."The mob Rules"...and even "Dehumanizer" blows this new album out of the water with no comparison in quality.
Ozzy vs. Dio huh? If we are talking about Black Sabbath I would go with Ozzy even though this is so close its neck and neck...but I'll go with old Black Sabbath's first 8 albums from 1970 - 1978.

I think the point is that Sabath is not just ozzy. sabath existed with dio, gillian, martin....
personaly, I prefer Dio vocals, but the best sabath album to me is born again. probably because it was the first LP I bought. but, with sabath, solo, recently, Dio all the way in this comparo. |

August of 2007 so it's not too long ago--he ran all over that stage --after all the years of drugs & alchol I was truly surprised at how good he sounded---maybe he had 1 of those good days but he had energy that night !!

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How long ago was the last time you saw him??? I have seen Ozzy five or six times and the last time I actually went to a show was in the mid-90's. He was still able to hold notes and ALWAYS puts on a great show. I LOVED him. Of course, since then he has really taken a turn. He sounded awful at the British Hall of Fame gig.

Oh, I don't know. Ozzy was pretty good "back in the day". He is not nearly as powerful a vocalist as Dio but few are. RJD has one of those unique voices. Ozzy cannot carry a tune in a bucket these days, that I will say. Shame too because I always liked the guy. Really shows you what drugs,alcohol and a poor lifestyle will get you, doesn't it?

I saw them this year, and I have to say, I fell in love with a 66 year old men LOL nah, really I love the way he sings, he's amazing live... and he seems such a nice person... after the show he signed tickets outside the stadium and talked to the fans... and Iove to listen to him on interviews, lol yep I like everything of him...
Ozzy... well I hear him, his lips are moving.. but I don't understand shit what he's saying, and he can't sing live now... I saw him last year, forgetable show imo

ah...yes and no...
I'm actually doing great...but there's always a hair on the soup (as we say here)...however there's some people that makes me go crazy...well...that's not important...by the way...ozzy sucks...however some of the songs are performed in a great way by the band, but the vocals just screw everything up!
I think I'm off to bed...I'm very tired and I have some things to do before I can go to sleep

For sure, I saw Ozzy live last year too and he was pretty lame. However did see him in Auckland in 98 and he was awesome then, one of the best shows I've been to, saw Heaven And Hell over here a couple of years ago and Dio is amazing live.

The studio stuff has always been better. Live he has a nasally whine reminicent of Sonny Bono at times. Not really pleasant! I Know he's old and seems to be terminally confused, but his voice has never been all that good.

HB, my opinion is that Ozzy with Blizzard of Oz in studio, Bark at the Moon, and Ozzy's No more tears were excellent! But that's just it. They are studio where the boards can be worked to enhance his voice and he can take the time to do it right. As a live singer, he's never IMO been all that good. Gets that whiney tone to his voice!

about ozzy....I don't think that without sabbath he is nothing....In my opinion he is better without sabbath, and sabbath is better without him,
anyway IMO there's no doubt.... Dio is way better
