I wondered this too haha. I thought, maybe if they had the facilities they recorded them on the VHS from MTV or wherever? Alright. Say it's the late 80s, early 90s. One of your favorite bands releases a music video. You catch it on MTV and really enjoy it. Was there ever a way of procuring an official copy (or...I guess....tape) of that video without recording it on a VHS player?
Yeah, dumb question, but always wondered.

Coins and their metal (to bring back this old topic), one clear exception: the Kennedy 1/2 dollar.
It is an unsung hero as it had a greater percentage of silver in the mix. The '64s for sure (something like 90% silver). After, they still had 40% or something of the sort. Heck, makes 'em worth $1.50 USD!!
(for the record, I think my comic book collection is going at about the same rate). Hmmm...let's see what my 8 copies of Spawn #1 are selling for nowadays.

I have been shot down with a canadian coin in the states before, that I got in change there. ffs.

Full credit for the penny on the arm of the turntable. Hey, HB. No more 1 cent pieces? Should I hold on to my old maple leaf ones? I was in a store the other day when a lady was shut down for trying to pass of a Canadian quarter. WTF?!? The world is falling apart.

Yup, and in North America, this sort of "spirit duplicator" was known as a Ditto Machine! Ditto paper and the machine used to make the copies coexisted with the mimeograph but was invented later. It was the immediate precursor to the photocopy machine! The buzz came from the mineral spirits that were used to make the copies.
