Athens, I must admit looks disgusting when you just roll around the city for a day or two. You'll get no argument from me. But the heart of the Greeks is large, and while that place looks run down from an American standpoint, I must say that the time I spent in Greece was wonderful, I met many new friends, and while there are lunatic fringe in the country, the country and it's people are so wonderful. I dont' speak the best greek but understand it very well, and never had a problem there.
If you want a great greek experience, head to the islands or go to places inland. Eratini is a beutiful place...........Galaxidi, Naphpacktos, any of these are so beautiful.
My family's property is right outside of a growing seaside resort. All I care for is Flora, shall own a part of that house for as long as she lives and will also have an apartment in Athens. As long as she can afford the ticket, she will be enfolded by her familiy when she is there, and only need marginal money. I've had a couple of games like that, playing in the driving rain when it's freezing cold. In one game, I ran to the sideline at half time and my dad grabbed my hands to try and warm them up and it was excrutiatingly painful when he touched them, they were so cold and his were so warm. Tonight should be ok, I'll just wear a thermal underneath my uniform lol.

And No, Guid I never played hockey during winter. We had hills here that were so great you could go forever in a good snow on a sled. Now they dont give you access to those great public hills. | | Becks wrote: | | I've had a couple of games like that, playing in the driving rain when it's freezing cold. In one game, I ran to the sideline at half time and my dad grabbed my hands to try and warm them up and it was excrutiatingly painful when he touched them, they were so cold and his were so warm. Tonight should be ok, I'll just wear a thermal underneath my uniform lol. | | spapad wrote: | | I played field Hockey in school but I would be pissed off if I had to play when it's cold. I HATE cold weather and anything played outside when it was cold was Off my list of things to do. lol
I would be too busy shivering to play. lol | | Becks wrote: | | Nah, field hockey is a winter sport too Spa we play on astroturf, with a very hard ball. The weather has just turned and started to rain, I hope it goes away before 6pm LOL!! | | spapad wrote: | | Oh, ok.............Now I get it. lol I just figured since they only play it in the cold months it was ice. | | jimmyjames wrote: | | I think it's field hockey, the only ice is in the bourbon and cokes after the game. |

I said bumper sliding, not hockey. Bumper sliding is a sport just MADE for a kid. Grab onto a car when it is passing by and SLIDE down those hills!
Ahhhhh....to be a kid again. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Friday, May 28, 2010 8:12:03 PM) | | spapad wrote: | | I could not live there.
