i gotta few I'm not completly proud of. Godsmack is one I love and I know some metalheads frown on them. I enjoy Sugar Ray's first two records anything after that no way and ringo starr's solo albums I love which is very laughable to many but he always was my favorite beatle.

Yeah, he is cool. I like Overnite Sensation and Zoot Allures. Great albums. You have to hear The Torture Never Stops on Zoot Allures. One of the best songs ever. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Friday, December 04, 2009 10:43:03 PM)

Ron, a Boy named Sue is very close to me, as my family used to play it to me as a "tribute"? to my tomboyishness when I was a kid. Love the song to this day, and a few more from Mr. Cash. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by ron h from Friday, December 04, 2009 6:15:38 PM)

Probably Nick Cave and Tom Waits, neither are metal but they both have some awesome songs and cool lyrics. Got a Bob Dylan cd around somewhere as well that's not too bad. Haven't listened to it for ages though.

I would have to say an old Dolly album with the song Working 9 to 5. Now I know what you think but when you grow up in a house of parents who listen the country you end up enjoying one or two tunes. But I do have to agree with Metal Pixie on the disco - sometimes a girl does have to move.

Devil Went Down To Georgia is an awesome tune, and one of these days I'm gonna master that fiddle part on guitar. Devil Went Back To Georgia by Jonny Cash is another great tune as well, but as of late I have really really been hooked on "Boondocks" by Little Big Town. It really strikes me as something that could have very well fit on Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album, one of the greatest front to back albums of all time....
