Damned if I wasn't grilled going though security at CDG (Paris) airport! Wearing a Priest shirt? Dude hits me with a "what is your fave album," "what is your fav song," etc.
Half interest on his part, half grilling me for security purposes.
Had to answer....Defenders was #1 for me.

HAAA!! Thanks! I have yet to put up my Festivus Pole. Good thing that I didn't put it away since last year (also why I don't unpack).
Welcome back, Guids. Glad to read that you caught a kewl concert while in Paris.
Sucks about those floods and tornadoes, though. At least they let you live to celebrate another Festivus!

On a similar note, DAMN, did I run into some weather here. Fuckin' TX (you know who I blame) had some shit weather that forced the plane to take a northern pass over Michigan! Drive to get the pets was almost the making of a YouTube vid as flash floods / tornados hit all around. BTW, no, Vail. That was NO fun! Still, I see the same idiot(s) must be posting as I have 117+ messages with only 30 getting through! Screw you, fucktards. No time to waste on you.
Paris is amazing this time of year. Last night (today? hard to tell after a 10 hour+ flight, then connection in Dallas....that I won't speak smack about only because of Guitardude who has been a great friend), I stumble across a free Xmas concert at night in Notre Dame! Gregorian? Pipe organ? Full choir? FREE?!? I've been there many times but was just trying to catch the metro back when I stumbled across a line of people waiting late at night. Absolutely amazing. Started just as I arrived and I stayed for the entire performance.

Already home as of a few LOOOONG hours ago, compadre. Would have loved to have taken you up on that kind offer but put it on hold. I'll have a trip to England someday. Never been.
Beautiful flight but no sleep. Hotel looks right onto the Monument of the Republique and, man, you should see how it is adorned with tributes from the shooting. Took a couple of shots early this morning from the balcony but hope to get better ones tomorrow as the massacre was right around the corner. Plan to stop by to see what that looks like tomorow. TC folks!

You already visited Jim's grave?? Damn! Well, Oscar Wilde, then. I recall reading one of his works in high school at some point.
As for the terrorist attacks? Hate to say this, but when it's your time, it's your time. La muerte no avisa.
So if you make it to Paris, eat, drink and be merry! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Friday, December 04, 2015 2:17:00 AM)

Paris? Nah, aready seen his grave as you well-know. Oscar Wylde, though? Never did come across it as the hour was late and it was a very rainy day in a cementary that has a thousand turns (or so it felt at the time last year). I am just planning on hanging out and avoiding terrorist attacks.

Know what you mean. I swam with dolphins and nurse sharks in MX. Still, a larger space roped off in the ocean than they had in Brazil for a COUPLE manatee. Freakin' pool. I hope somenone turned in the guy that caught (and tried to sell me) that sloth. Had it in a cardboard box. Still, middle of nowhere, Brazil, I doubt it. It was long ago, but I believe I even paid a few cruzeiros (not even the current currency which is the "real") to take a pix with it. I hope he bought it food!
yeah, thats not my thing. did swimming with the dolphins in cuba, big pen in an estuary. didnt like that much either.

Kinda sad as they had those massive creatures in something like an over-ground pool. Hell, MY pool is bigger.
Same goes for the sloth. Guy wanted to sell it to me! WTF? Illegal and immoral? Yeah. Cute sucker, though.
