@spa .... I've grown TIRED of people craving for Painkiller styled Judas Priest and I'm talking about the song Painkiller... the rest of the album nobody talks about ...possibly All Guns Blazing and Metal Meltdown but the other 7 tracks nobody mentions
...it's like somehow they think all Judas Priest albums are full every track with the song Painkiller.

I absolutely agree with you J.D., 100%, Certainly not my cuppa tea; just a horrible way for KK to leave retirement.
That's life I suppose, some decisions are awesome and some turn out shit. This is the shitty decision.
@spa guido head banger the video for the title track is so dumb it is borderline embarrassing. These songs sound like a Primal Fear rip off and I hate Primal Fear. What a fucking let down for fuck's sake !
like I said ,when I first saw him announce KK's Priest it was cringe worthy to begin with BUT he had LES BINKS in the band and announced they were working on new material so I thought this MAY be interesting because Les is such a primitive Rock and heavy metal styled drummer and KK ain't going to write Scott Travis styled material with Les on drums so the material might come across like a Hell Bent For Leather style but classic original.
Then POP ....this shit comes out .... no mention of Les not even being in the fucking band at all he just releases Hellfire Thunderbolt and I'm like THAT ain't Les Binks,in fact this material sounds nothing like Les Binks would play .... HOW FUCKING LAME! Can you imagine how many Les Binks fans and old Judas Priest fans were pissed off learning all a sudden he ain't even in the band.
And no way was KK even going to have him play HELLFIRE THUNDERBOLT or any of this crap .... how lame at least KK Could of mention a year ago that Les wouldn't be a part of the album or band ....instead alls the Les Binks fans got was "well Les had an injury so he couldn't do the album "....He should of told the truth and said ..."so I decided to switch styles and go for something he'd never be able to play once his wrist IS HEALED".
And oh.... Les will make a couple appearances and play a couple old Judas Priest songs maybe. Fucking LAME with a capital L!!!!!!!!

Oh no........Not lovin' the new KKsPriest. Not at all. It's almost hurl worthy, that's not a good thing. Sermon for the Sinner? Oh for God sake get the fuck over it! Yes! Sinner is a great song! Yes you played it well!!! BUT it didn't need Ripper to write shitty lyrics to evoke Sinner and then trhow in a cheesy video! I am disapointed to say the least. I feel emptier somehow just knowing that crap is out there.

Agreed, agreed and agreed, JD. My first and only reaction was...huh.
I couldn't have summed up my thoughts any better. YOU just did! From lyics to Ripper to drummer to gah... man o man. SOOO wish he would have gone with a new band / different singer...just...gah!
@vail the drummer is a rip off of Scott and Tim is trying so hard to be Rob here... this is worse than Jugulator and Demolition. And the lyrics are utterly terrible not to mention that melody part in the middle lyrics are a rip off of the B side track left over from Redeemer Of Souls "Never Forget" just listen to it! KK failed on all cylinders here.
[Head banger] Friday, June 18, 2021 2:28:33 PM
I wonder. would be neat to see les playing like that. but yeah, seems unlikely.
[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, June 17, 2021 6:32:52 PM
@Head Banger.... KK .... man.... I hate Tim Owens but when KK announced the band line up with Les Binks the Entire Judas Priest fan base were expecting an album with ...drum roll please.......LES BINKS! I call total B.S. that he has a "wrist injury" bull $hit ... KK KNEW what kind of fffffiiiiing material he was going to write far before this supposed wrist injury...AS IF LES COULD REMOTELY PLAY THIS STYLE ....he simply used Binks' name to hype his over produced album.
[Head banger] Thursday, June 17, 2021 4:47:23 PM
well, yeah, tim is trying too hard to sound like rob. for sure. drums, I guess your right JD, although thats not a bad thing I suppose. the break from fast to slow is too jaring.
overall if it wasnt the kk band I might think the song is a 6/10 But I dunno, can I mark it lower because its from kkspriest? seems like I should. but thats probably not fair.

JD. think I saw a post from you, logged in and its gone. wierd. fail to understand this site.
anyway, ripper, yeah, he was decent, but Rob is the man. still, if no rob, I liked the ripper stuff
what I was once hoping for was priest to tour with iced earth opening, and bring ripper out for a song. never gonna happen now, the biggest act I think he is with is KKs priest, and they aint opening for JP. not in a million years

@Head Banger great to see you man! Yeah I remember you liked Ripper...it's all good man we all can't dig the same things all the way across the board... hey it turned out after 3 years I still like Sea Of Red as I remember you didn't care for it...same scenario we can't like the same stuff all the time...hell I think ALL 14 tracks on Firepower are flawless its just a perfect album. Redeemer Of Souls would of been flawless if Metalizer was left off.I do wish you to enjoy KKs new album Edited at: Wednesday, May 26, 2021 4:51:31 PM

Regarding KK's Priest, good on him I guess. hope that the other songs are better, but its ok. you all know I liked ripper, so this is fine. JD, I agree about those 2 song titles
Nupe, glad to hear you are doing well.
will try to come around more

Raise Your Fists and Metal Through And Through are terrible titles for songs. I'd say that if it were Judas Priest.

Just found the tracklist for the "Sermons of the Sinner" album. I'd bet the family farm that "Sacerdote y diablo" is an acoustic/Spanish-style guitar instrumental track.
Sermons Of The Sinner is set for release on August 20 via Explorer1 Music Group/EX1 Records. The album track listing is:
1. Incarnation
2. Hellfire Thunderbolt
3. Sermons Of The Sinner
4. Sacerdote Y Diablo
5. Raise Your Fist
6. Brothers Of The Road
7. Metal Through And Through
8. Wild And Free
9. Hail For The Priest
10. Return Of The Sentinel

@guido we'd almost be puzzled if it wasn't quality Judas Priest how their song writing skills have been with Ritchie. But like every Judas Priest record it'll sound different, somehow they do and the flavor of the new album Glenn Ritchie the lyrics from our Metal God and the album artwork...another one in the mystical being repitorie? I can't wait either.
Trying to equal or top Firepower... man that'll be freaking tough man... the title track Firepower,Necromancer,Children Of The Sun,Guardians/Rising From Ruins,Spectre,No Surrender ...hell all of the tracks are some level of kick ass I even love Sea Of Red ...
I'm sure I posted it before but anyways just to focus on Glenn's solos on the album he obviously plays all easier harmonies with Ritchie on every track.
He plays the short bend 5 seconds at the very end of Lightning Strike (lol) well he does it's unmistakable Tipton ha ha
He plays the first solo on Evil Never Dies/ the second trade off solos on Necromancer
The second solo on Children Of The Sun/ Harmony solo with Ritchie on Guardians Second solo on Rising From Ruins / second slide solo on Flamethrower/ the first solo on Sea Of Red.

Oh, I most certainly get that POV. I seriously almost cried when I heard Turbo for all the reasons you state. WHEN it was released was certainly a big part. Like you, I was really jonesin' for some just balls out heavy metal monster and...then the synth kicks in. lol. Followed by the eternally GOOFY album cover (complete with the "poked in the eye" / spectacled KK with poofy hair) of Priest Live? Fucking GREAT performance but, man... just some real goofiness there. Nostra, just like Turbo, has some excellent tunes. Wouldn't trade either for the world...NOW! lol
Listened to KK's song again after I posted last night. Ya know? Guitars are fine (yes, sounds like Nostra), drums, bass. All fine....it is the vocal and lyrics!! Gaaaah! THAT is my issue. With a better (different SOUNDING) vocalist with a better lyric writer perhaps? Dunno. Maybe this whole album will make me a "Ripper" fan.... um... no. (plus when that second guitarist pops up...I was thinking...KK's twin! lol).
Long live JUDAS Priest. Can't wait for that album!
@guido ... I think certain albums (not all) but some are not taken in all the way because of bad timing... Turbo isn't to my likings no because after Defenders I was starving for more...I think Nostrdamous was released in bad timing because we only got one album from Priest when Rob came back in Angel Of Retribution we were starving for another solid LP .
Had they released another LP in 2007 of pure metal and KK never quit .. then Nostrdamous in 2010 or 2011 would of been more understood but only to me I'm saying. I was dreading too much time between Nostrdamous and the next studio album and it turned out I was right...
listening to Nostrdamous now...is much better guido, no it's not my favorite but it isn't as BAD as I posted here in 2008 - ... and if you think about it... it kinda WAS not a good time for Nostrdamous... Rob had only been back in the band for 3 and a half years when they were working on it.
The world had just rejoiced Rob the Metal God coming back and the success of A.O.R. it just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. As I said the same with Turbo coming off an album titled Defenders Of The Faith and then EXPLAINING to us in 1984 - 1985 that the "FAITH" means defending heavy metal and everything it stands for
...then in 1986 they do an about face 180 and Glam out with purple pink and yellow Turbo outfits and water the songs down on the Turbo album. So I think it's just a matter of timing sometimes that can hurt or help an album. It doesn't make an album better no but sometimes timing of when to release something makes it easier to digest.
