I'll spare you guys the reviews or at least keep them to a minimum.
I enjoyed last night.

Huh. While interesting and I am glad that you are in a location that allows you to see so many bands, I cannot help but say that I don't know if I'd pay to see too many of them. Rob Zombie (perhaps), Anthrax (I have seen a bunch of times and never thought that they were more than a warmup / over-hyped cover band...Scott Ian playing this one?), Megadeth (I have seen numerous times and can't say that I like their / his? new material...after all, one man show), Motorhead (again, seen countless times...always solid and good) and Slayer (again, seen countless times and they don't inspire me). Certainly nothing new.

The rest? Well, glad that you want and are able to see them. Call me old. We'll leave it at that. Were they in my backyard, my opinion might change. No matter what, I still await your reviews. Cheers.

...the last two summers have been the best ever for me as far as how many bands that I was
lucky enough to see live. That can't keep up nor do I want it to. Last year was a quest to top the previous
year and it would be too costly to try that every year. I still plan on seeing some shows though.

4/17  Nothing and Tenafly Viper (both MRH vocalists fronting their own bands) (Cleveland)
4/22  Soulfly (Pittsburgh)
5/17  Mushroomhead (Pittsburgh)
5/20  Rock on the Range (Columbus) (only going one day this year)
Rob Zombie / Marilyn Manson / Megadeth / Anthrax / Mastodon / Volbeat / The Darkness (time to hit concession stand)
Down / Escape The Fate / Lacuna Coil / Black Stone Cherry / Attack Attack / Trivium / Redlight King / James Durbin /
Aranda / 12 Stones / Soil / Eye To Adam / Ghosts Of August
7/ 28  Mayhem Festival (Burgettstown, Pa.)
Slipknot / Slayer / Anthrax / Motorhead / Whitechapel / As I Lay Dying (others)

....these are what I have tickets for. I'll probably get to about three or four  more so it should still be a cool summer. Now I just hope
Five Finger Death Punch comes around. I love their new album and I thought they kicked ass the last time I saw them so I'm
thinking they will be the band to see this summer. What sucks is that they are at Rock on the Range on Saturday but the rest of the
line-up is so weak I'm passing.

@Vail ...I'm not expecting change I just needed to chill. (more positive posts)(hopefully)(LOL)

Yeah its amazing when you look at it that way. Even though I don't rate it last, the Hell Bent For Leather album is the most "overrated" Priest album there is. From the way some people speak of this album, not only here but elsewhere too you would think it would be thier best LP.  The 5 songs that I don't like and think are overrated are Evening Star,Take on The World,Burnin' Up,Before The Dawn and Evil Fantasies.

If you think about it they are really poor Priest songs. The intro to Evening Star is great, but when it kicks in and the rest of the track is weak in my opinion.  Not trying to convince you otherwise, just think these 5 songs are not good Priest tracks and this is why Hell Bent is overrated to me.

I do like Delivering The Goods,Rock Forever,Hell Bent For Leather,Green Manilishi,Running Wild and Killing Machine so at least I can listen to 6 songs on the album. Its always been these 5 songs I've never liked even after 30 years.

I'm off today and I'm bored so I did this. I was looking for the thread (forget name) where you
list favorite to least favorite Priest albums. I'm posting here because I couldn't find it. When I did
this before I went with what I liked (or thought I liked). This time I went with the JD Diamond "skip track"
method. I got surprising results. This is based on my iPod and tracks I skipped. I only skip Priest songs
that I hate and some of my non skip songs could be (skipped) but if I could stomach them I left  them on.

(favorite to least )

1. British Steel (0 skips)
2. Point Of Entry (0)
3. Sad Wings (0)
4. Rocka Rolla (0)
5. Jugulator (0)
6. Staind Class (1)
7. Ram It Down (1)
8. Hell Bent For Leather (1)
9. Sin After Sin (1)
10. Defenders Of The Faith (2)
11. Demolition (4)
12. Screaming For Vengeance (4)
13. Angel Of Retribution (4)
14. Turbo (4)
15. Painkiller (5)
16. Nostradamus (22)(LOL) (...kept Alone)

I'll take it as a compliment only because non fans usually won't search out videos
of bands they don't like. I have some really good videos of MRH on youtube. Hopefully
I'll have some awesome Priest videos after Tuesday. Thanks again. Take care.

I had forgotten all about the flaming dog comment, Bud. Knew you were kidding there anyway.

I'd need the context for the "Seu" part as it could refer to either "his, her, their" or, what I would guess, "YOUR." Likewise, the rest of the comment is really open for interpretation (Your work is shit vs. your work is THE shit) but I'd take it as a complement.

Assuming that you made the video, he is saying that your work is the shit (good, iow). Second part is pretty straightforward: "Principally (primarily / basically) for (the) Mushroomhead."

He likes it, IMO.

I

IHello all. Went to Cleveland last night for Mushroomhead's Halloween Show. They're basically a smalltime
or underground type band. They've had some exposure and played a few big shows but for the most part they are a club band.
They are from Cleveland and they put this show on every year for 18 straight now so you can pretty guess that they go all out for this one.
They did not disappoint. It was (by their standards) "Epic" in every way. Big production, awesome lights and a great performance.
They didn't start til 12:30am and finished around two. They had another band feat. their old singer playing in the ballroom after but
I had a two hour plus drive so I passed. I pulled in (home) about 5:00am. I know you guys don't care for MRH but check this out.
I got a new camera and can get awesome footage now. I'll have some footage like this of Priest in a couple of weeks. Watch this and check out
how crazy this show was. It's only 4 or 5 minutes long so go ahead. It's called Born of Desire. Watch the crowd scenes. Peace!

           Avenged Sevenfold(2)
           Three Days Grace(2)
           Seether(2)
           Bullet For My Valentine(3)
           Escape The Fate(2)
           Sevendust(4)
           Mushroomhead(8)
           Ventana(2)
           Tenafly Viper(2)

I made the comment last year that I could never top how many bands I've seen in a single year after last year.
Last year I saw 60 live performances (over 50 different bands). This year I'm on track for 61 (or more) after the Priest show.
It's not a big deal I just didn't think it could be done. Obviously I can't sustain these numbers but what an incredible two years
for concerts.

Food for thought. Last year I started with Mushroomhead, then Rock on the Range, and finished the year with Mushroomhead
and then Halford/Ozzy in Cleveland.
This year I started with Mushroomhead, then Rock on the Range, and I'm finishing the year with Mushroomhead and then Priest
in Cleveland. It's almost like Groundhog Day(year). Peace all.

These guys are called "Tenafly Viper". The singer and drummer also play in MRH . This song starts out a little
rough but overall it's pretty good. It definitely rocks, sort of Pantera(esque).

Dio was an awesome singer and one of the top 3 metal vocalist of all time  ....along with Bruce and Halford.
[.] Monday, October 03, 2011 2:19:06 AM
Dio was a musician, not a saint.

It's ok if anyone is making a buck playing Dio's material. He didn't write all the stuff by himself nor did he play it. He sang it.
[Budred] Sunday, October 02, 2011 1:28:15 AM
I think this is a one time thing. I read some comments on youtube where some people thing
these guys are just trying to make money off of Dio but that's not really the case. Wendy Dio
actually agreed to this as a celebration of Mr. Ronnie James. I liked it so much that I would like
to see them do more but at the same time if it is a celebration of Ronnie then once is enough.

I may have the venue wrong, it could have been Mr. Small's or another club
but it was in Pittsburgh a couple of months ago.I remember mostly because of Al Atkins.
It's also possible I'm confusing them with someone else.

Had to update. It was Club Diesel.
They have about four or five clubs in Pittsburgh that host bands and it's hard to keep track of who played where.
Lately I've been seeing bands at the Altar Bar and just thought it was there. Peace.

Nice pictures, and I'm sure Tim Performed well.

I like Ripper and I think he got a raw deal with Priest, but he was not what Priest fans wanted. I hope this incarnation for him works out. He's got the pipes, but needs his own band.
It would have been easier for him had he found and up and coming band and joined them, instead of trying to fill shoes, no matter how good he is, there will always be that comparison. In a way I find him a tragic loss of talent until he finds his ideal nitche.
