Yeah its amazing when you look at it that way. Even though I don't rate it last, the Hell Bent For Leather album is the most "overrated" Priest album there is. From the way some people speak of this album, not only here but elsewhere too you would think it would be thier best LP. The 5 songs that I don't like and think are overrated are Evening Star,Take on The World,Burnin' Up,Before The Dawn and Evil Fantasies.
If you think about it they are really poor Priest songs. The intro to Evening Star is great, but when it kicks in and the rest of the track is weak in my opinion. Not trying to convince you otherwise, just think these 5 songs are not good Priest tracks and this is why Hell Bent is overrated to me.
I do like Delivering The Goods,Rock Forever,Hell Bent For Leather,Green Manilishi,Running Wild and Killing Machine so at least I can listen to 6 songs on the album. Its always been these 5 songs I've never liked even after 30 years.

I made the comment last year that I could never top how many bands I've seen in a single year after last year.
Last year I saw 60 live performances (over 50 different bands). This year I'm on track for 61 (or more) after the Priest show.
It's not a big deal I just didn't think it could be done. Obviously I can't sustain these numbers but what an incredible two years
for concerts.
Food for thought. Last year I started with Mushroomhead, then Rock on the Range, and finished the year with Mushroomhead
and then Halford/Ozzy in Cleveland.
This year I started with Mushroomhead, then Rock on the Range, and I'm finishing the year with Mushroomhead and then Priest
in Cleveland. It's almost like Groundhog Day(year). Peace all.

I
IHello all. Went to Cleveland last night for Mushroomhead's Halloween Show. They're basically a smalltime
or underground type band. They've had some exposure and played a few big shows but for the most part they are a club band.
They are from Cleveland and they put this show on every year for 18 straight now so you can pretty guess that they go all out for this one.
They did not disappoint. It was (by their standards) "Epic" in every way. Big production, awesome lights and a great performance.
They didn't start til 12:30am and finished around two. They had another band feat. their old singer playing in the ballroom after but
I had a two hour plus drive so I passed. I pulled in (home) about 5:00am. I know you guys don't care for MRH but check this out.
I got a new camera and can get awesome footage now. I'll have some footage like this of Priest in a couple of weeks. Watch this and check out
how crazy this show was. It's only 4 or 5 minutes long so go ahead. It's called Born of Desire. Watch the crowd scenes. Peace!

This is from last night. Check it out and let me know what you think of the footage.
I finally bought a handycam to replace the camera. This is some of my best stuff.
I can't wait until Priest. I should get some great videos for you guys. Peace!

Last night was fun as hell.
Then this morning I got jolted back to the real world.
You know when you get a call on a Sunday morning it has to be bad. F#CK!!!

Can't wait til tonight.
Mushroomhead for the seventh time in a little less than three years.
Altar Bar, Pittsburgh.
Then two weeks from tonight we get to do it again.
Dio was an awesome singer and one of the top 3 metal vocalist of all time ....along with Bruce and Halford.

Dio was a musician, not a saint.
It's ok if anyone is making a buck playing Dio's material. He didn't write all the stuff by himself nor did he play it. He sang it.

I think this is a one time thing. I read some comments on youtube where some people thing
these guys are just trying to make money off of Dio but that's not really the case. Wendy Dio
actually agreed to this as a celebration of Mr. Ronnie James. I liked it so much that I would like
to see them do more but at the same time if it is a celebration of Ronnie then once is enough. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Saturday, October 01, 2011 6:13:04 PM)

Nice pictures, and I'm sure Tim Performed well.
I like Ripper and I think he got a raw deal with Priest, but he was not what Priest fans wanted. I hope this incarnation for him works out. He's got the pipes, but needs his own band. It would have been easier for him had he found and up and coming band and joined them, instead of trying to fill shoes, no matter how good he is, there will always be that comparison. In a way I find him a tragic loss of talent until he finds his ideal nitche.

I may have the venue wrong, it could have been Mr. Small's or another club
but it was in Pittsburgh a couple of months ago.I remember mostly because of Al Atkins.
It's also possible I'm confusing them with someone else.
Had to update. It was Club Diesel.
They have about four or five clubs in Pittsburgh that host bands and it's hard to keep track of who played where.
Lately I've been seeing bands at the Altar Bar and just thought it was there. Peace.[Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by . from Saturday, October 01, 2011 4:32:28 PM)

I don't think they played the Altar Bar. At least that date is not on their website.
By the way, it has been a while since I actually saw a band of this quality. It was like rain in the desert.

I would love to see Diamond Head. What sucks is that they played here about two months ago.
Them , Al Atkins, and two or three other bands. I saw the ad on the Altar Bar website and then forgot
the date. When I checked again to see if I would be able to go or not it had already passed. It kind of
bummed me out.

Thanks, Budred. I saw see Diamond Head last month and they kicked royal ass!! Didn't take any pictures, though. It's a band I knew I wouldn't have a chance to see again. Excellent musicians, the drummer is impressive and knows the meaning of SPEED.

Pretty cool pics, very very close. As a correction, I didn't know what this Altar Bar you refered to was and I've just checked it. Doh. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Budred from Saturday, October 01, 2011 3:56:01 AM)
