Wow, that would have been a great experience, something like Queensryche did. That is showing true appriciation to their fans. I don't see anything like that happening this tour and you would think, if this is the last tour, they would have done something like that. Sadly, no.

And when I say aftershow party, I mean the entire band is there milling around for 30-60 minutes talking to everyone (Mark did it) taking pictures and signing autographs and they are actually HAPPY to meet you. THAT is how you show your hardcore fans that you appreciate them!! Queensryche also just posted an auction to be Ryche Royalty and go on tour with them. Can you imagine? Priest could do all sorts of things, but this is just business as usual for them, which I find VERY SAD! I envisioned them blocking off the front row for hardcore fans, that during the pre-show party would get to go to sound check. We would get to go up on stage and sing the chorus of something like United or Take on the World during the show. Talk about AWESOME!! So many things that could be done to set JP apart from every other band and for the band to show their appreciation to the fans that have been with them all the way.

Yes, I AM saying that other bands managements are involved in the reservation of blocks of seats!! Ozzy blocks off the ENTIRE FIRST 10 ROWS for the package deals. You have to go to Will Call and show ID to get your ticket the day of the show. Therefore completely eliminating scalpers from buying those tickets. Journey and Def Leppard are doing the same thing. Iron Maiden has always done it. The Scorpions just did it last year. Let me make this clear to you - THE TICKETS ARE NOT EVEN ON SALE TO THE PUBLIC YET AND THE TICKET RESALE SITES ALREADY HAVE THE FRONT ROW TICKETS ON SALE FOR UP TO 5X THE ACTUAL TICKET PRICE. Do you get it yet?????? Ticketbastard has contracts with the ticket brokers and unless MANAGEMENT of the band blocks off seats - which as I just explained to you has been done by MANY BANDS so IT CAN AND IS DONE, Ticketbastard will do this to increase their profits.
Who knows, maybe JP and management get a cut of the $$$ from the ticket brokers. Jayne and Bill need to pad their retirement after all since NO OTHER BAND IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MINDS would ever hire them!!

Those are resale prices. Chicago doesn't even go on sale through Ticketbastard until June 10th!!! And yet there are suites and seats for sale? Which begs the question, how can you REsell tickets that haven't even been sold yet??? So obviously, Ticketbastard has a contract with these "resellers" and they get certain blocks of seats (the good seats that we all want) before they ever go on sale. That is why bands like Def Leppard, Scorpions, Journey, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Queensryche just to name a few, have in their contracts with these very same venues that JP is going to, that the first 10 rows or so are blocked off for packages. THAT is how a band keeps those seats for its fans!!! It just looks to me like JP and their management just don't care, as long as the seats get sold. Well, they are going to have the same situation that I saw in Cincinnati: people in the front row standing 5 feet back from the barrier looking bored. We won auction seats for the front row and were in the middle. Glenn finally was so frustrated that he noticed us and started playing in the middle!! So, the band WILL care come show time, but they don't seem to see why this is happening in the first place and that THEY CAN PREVENT IT!!

Tickets for Rock on the Range for field passes were $125.00 and that was for an all day event two days in a row.
I don't think I'll be going to multiple shows if the good seats are $150.00. WTF? I love Priest more than any other
band but not enough to pay that much. And if what I'm reading here about the first 12 to 14 rows being gone already
you may as well go with the cheap seats. This whole fucking tour is turning into a debacle. If there is any good to any
of this it's that it's happening at the end of their career and not in their prime. I would have bailed on them long ago.

Ouch, the cheapest tickets for the Seattle show are $122.00 bucks each not counting tax. Buying 2 tickets for this show will end up costing me about 260 bucks? I haven't seen Judas Priest live since 1988's Ram It Down tour where I paid about $20.00 bucks to see the band.....I think I'll "keep it that way" lol!
Yeah I know this is the last chance I get to see the band but I'll skip seeing Judas Priest live... My memories of the Ram It Down show in 1988 is good enough for me, I'll buy a DVD of the live show unless it too is $122.00 bucks? lol! I'll also have the new studio album to look forwards to so I'm at peace that I'll never see the band live again in my lifetime.

I wish they would announce the rest of the dates so I know if I have to travel or not,
If they don't hit this area I may try for Chicago and Detroit. They're back to back and
it's on a weekend and I've never been to Chicago. Maybe Obama will be up front
with his daughters. I'm sure they watch American Idol.(LOL)
I'd hate to wait for an area announcement and miss a chance at decent tickets for those two shows. |

I hope those prices are resale prices and not Ticketmaster prices.
I got "Pit Passes" for Mayhem and they were only $75.00 and that's an all day event.
Oh' well, I have my memories I guess.
