Good. Now buy yourself a current version of "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White.

The only way you'll get better is to practice!

Poor use of language then, compadre. Just like when I had someone come to me to speak of "conversating" in his new job recently.
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Head banger from Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:59:24 PM)
[Deep Freeze] Saturday, February 20, 2010 2:05:24 PM
Well, I am one of the FEW that DO use "albeit" here and elsewhere. You also may recall that I do not care much for using prepositions at the end of sentences nor conjunctions to begin them, but I digress!

While I am familiar with "Wiki" (thanks in large part to YOU)  I am not equally as familiar with HOW to use it. A good old fashioned dictionary nearby is ALWAYS my best friend. So, I do appreciate the the disabuse of my intelect, albeit unfair...... HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Head banger] Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:59:24 PM
I actualy used it in a discussion of an employee (I would say worker, but he isnt)
I would like to disabuse him of the notion he is inteligent or usefull.

[Becks] Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:56:35 PM
It's a simple question isn't it, but apparently one that is very difficult to answer for some reason.
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:50:27 PM)
[guidogodoy] Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:56:17 PM
Look at my description, DF. Nice Wiki! LOL! While French (and Latin-based) it is NOT in use in current English lexicon. If so, tell me the last time when you said it.

Like "albeit." It is archaic. Most do NOT use these terms anymore albeit here on the JP website. "Desabuser"...sure. Pull the other one.

How about some "true" Maidne discussion?? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:50:27 PM)
[guidogodoy] Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:50:27 PM
You seem confused. The quotes you cite came from me, not J.D.  We are two different people.

I still sit waiting for some "true" Maiden discussion as you promised. No "posse." Just me and you. I do not think that you are even the fake Brian, you haven't answered anyone's questions and you are making a serious ass of yourself.

FIX it! Start by naming ONE Bruce song that you do not like! GAAAA!!!
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Brian_Evans from Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:44:21 PM)
[Deep Freeze] Saturday, February 20, 2010 1:48:48 PM

Not really wishing to start trouble here but I am familiar with the word "disabuse". It is, in fact, a word...far as I know. It means to relieve one of a misconception (usually about themselves). I think it is French in origin, though.  The French word desabuser is like "to fool" or "lead astray" or something like that, no?

Oh, and Mr. Evans, you misspelled "Maiden" in your Topic description......

J. D. Diamond wrote "..your just going to get ridiculed and rightfully so"

Sorry to disappoint but you don't control the notice board or this thread or any thread for that matter. You and your little posse of thread crashers are just wasting your time and energy here. Call me a fanboy all you want, it just shows you guys don't know what you are talking about. You say you're here to stay? Well so am I and this thead will continue on, like it or not, and there's nothing you can do about it or your little posse that have no opinions other than "Maiden have lost it" or "can't you name a song you don't like". So why waste your time here saying the same thing over and over? Take my advice, you and your little posse leave and go to another thread or create your own Maiden thread and do what you want with it. Sounds like a good idea to me. If you want to keep pushing this I can always drop by your Saxon thread, think about it.

Wrong, Guido !

Vaillant, I thought it was a joke. Therefore I tried all pronunciations of "wugs" and "two wugs", but no joke occurred to me. But OK, I'l try to retrieve some of my baby stuff to share with you

Nicky.
