Yes, I suppose it is. I know I feel MUCH younger and stronger when I am at a Priest show! Of course, Rob and the guys are a bit older than we!!! Well said, scorp! It appears you are close to my age. Always good to have another "old fogie" here on the Board. HA!!!!
Really, popularity is not that tough to attain. I can remember when I was in school, I did not follow "popular" musical trends and I had many friends. I think who and what you are is a far better indication of how popular you will be. There will always be superficial people, even as you get older. That is just a fact of life. Being yourself really is what matters. |

Trust me im very young at heart, in alot of ways a big kid I hate taking most things seriously. i just feel that there are alot of people my age who are more worried about how they look, and how many friends they have, and what's "in fashion" than what is actually true to themselves. Maybe it's just the city i live in but it's hard to find genuine people, and friends that will give things a try even if it is deemed 'unpopular'. YOU WEREN'T BORN 20 YEARS TO LATE. IT'S THE MUSIC THAT KEEPS YOU FEELING YOUNG WHILE OTHER MENTALLY GET OLD. I'LL BE 47 ON NOV 12TH AND I FELL LIKE I'M 20. I STILL PLAY BALL AND WORKOUT WITH GUYS IN THEIR 20'S. I HAVE VERY FEW FRIENDS MY AND. THEY ACT LIKE THEIR OLD.
DON'T GET ME WRONG I LIKE A BIGGER VARIETY OF MUSIC NOW AS OPPOSED TO WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, BUT I STILL LOVE THE METAL FROM THE 1970'S. I LIVE UP TO MY RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT I NEVER FEEL TOO OLD TO BE SILLY.
FEELING THE METAL MUSIC WILL DO THAT TO ONES SOUL.

I seriously feel like i was born 20 years too late. It's no wonder i get on best with my mates who are 30+... I'm always willing to give things a try, I have listened to many forms of music and finally having arrived here with Metal and hard rock i am happy. I don't see the point in staying in trend when it changes every week. Gimme some Sabbath or Zepplin from the 1970's... i can dance to that!! I feel like in a way i'm forced to listen to older bands, and albums because whats on offer currently from newer bands just lacks depth, unless anyone can suggest anything? And not any of those bands who just cut and copy riffs and lyrics from the legends and sell it as their own.. oh and having a vocalist who sings is good too.. i hate that screaming / growling crap. | | Sunset wrote: | | What really pisses me off is when someone makes a judgment of a album without giving it a chance. This judas priest album does that for me, thank you to band that stayed with there roots and did'nt get caught up in the screaming crap.
