Nice bit of luck there with the ring, eh? Only took countless non-returned phonecalls + two visits.

Good to see you found your ring. That is WAY lucky and had you not taken a ring to show her what to look for she would have never found it. Damn shame the staff is not interested in inventorying things with a proper description. Glad it worked out for you!

I have my own good news which I meant to post earlier, I've finally bought a new(er) slalom kayak, in the shape of a friend's old Vadja Nexus. It is somewhat, well, pink, but I can live with it- I paddled it in an small non-ranking competition this weekend and I swear it turns on a sixpence, which will take some getting used to. I would have raved about it yesterday, but just as I was about to,I heard from the same friend that (continuing our canoe club's run of spectacular bad luck) her new boat had been swiped from her back garden and now she has nothing to paddle at all, which made me feel bad about being happy.
But I am SERIOUSLY happy about it.

The other day here in conservative-landia, I was chatting with a girl who was wearing an old "Hooters" shirt. Hey, Guids. I had a close call with my dogtag a few days ago. I was running to catch the metro train when the loop holding the dogtag got too loose and let it fall to the ground. The dogtag didn't break or anything (I was even able to put it back), but now I take care that I don't move the dogtag too much. At least it already has a hole through which I might put in a more secure loop when I come back home. Hope you can fix your JP cross no problem. Good luck.

Hey, Guids. I had a close call with my dogtag a few days ago. I was running to catch the metro train when the loop holding the dogtag got too loose and let it fall to the ground. The dogtag didn't break or anything (I was even able to put it back), but now I take care that I don't move the dogtag too much. At least it already has a hole through which I might put in a more secure loop when I come back home. Hope you can fix your JP cross no problem. Good luck.

Not really. I was trying to remove the chain so I could have a silver copy made for the silver one on the right and the clasp was just a bit too big for the hole in the cross. Little too much force on my part and snap!

The one on the left is the original from 1990. I took it out of the bag for that pic. The one with the broken loop is the one I always carried with me, thus, the broken loop.

I like the black cross...the upper one...and I think a pic of the one on the left is the one we used as a guide

yes it is!...but the chain wasn't part of it...and the little hoop is on the back...I didn't want it to have a little ring pierced on top as the one I saw on the internet...

Yeah, at one point I had three more but gave them away to friends. Also have a pin that I posted before.

I actually had to download several images for a jeweller to do it for me...now he hates me because it took him so long and it was very hard, he said he'll never do anything for me again HA!...but I'm very happy with it!
