Profanity is a result of anger. It's how I react sometimes. You people are not getting my point at all. The first message that
I left on this site was out of ignorance. I know no one here nor did I know anything about the little girl. I'm new to this page
and I see a topic that says role playing but I read about such a serious subject. I felt sad about what I was reading. Then I
read about prayer helping and with me not being a believer in prayer, thought that comment was silly (sorry but i'm allowed
to feel that way). So out of ignorance of the situation I responded to the prayer comment with a much too harsh comment of
my own. The next day after reading it again and having time to think about it I decided to apologize for it. I can't take it back
so that was my only alternative. Since then I have been trying to explain myself to different people here. Instead of resolving
the situation it is only causing more grief. I do not think prayer helps is the only message I was trying to get out. If those
people put more faith in God than they do the doctors they may unwittingly limit what these doctors are able to do by not
listening to or doing what they want them to. It may ultimately harm the child. I want their end result to turn out positive. I truly
hope the best for them. I never meant anything negative towards them. Them reading this back and forth does them no good
either. This will be my last response on this page. If you must criticize me leave a personal message and i'll try to respond if
you are not just being ridiculous. I could care less what the people criticizing me think but I apologize to the parents of that girl

While I certainly understand your position on supernatural beings (and I share your disbelief) I think this Thread, at THIS time, is simply ill-advised. People here just do not know you well enough yet and this particular moment is rather delicate.
The belief people carry is s source of comfort in times of great distress. Whether it is "god", "the sun" or "Apollo" is really not the point. We can debate the existence of invisible beings in the sky, if you wish, but this is not the time or Thread. Personally, I think you know that. In any event, this makes two. As harsh as that comment was I meant no malice towards that little girl. I truly have compassion for people, I honestly wish her the best.
I stated in that comment that I was feeling bad reading about her. That comment was meant to relay my belief that prayer will do no good.
If she survives it will be because of her and her doctors and if she dies, as tragic as it will be, it will have nothing to do with god. I believe
God is nothing more than a figment of the imagination and I could care less if people agree or not. We are all entitled to our beliefs and I
stand by mine. My only regret is that people may think I don't care about that little girl. I do. I do not have to believe in GOD to have compassion.
I think GOD is for those too weak to believe in themselves.  |

Well my friend, for some of us who do pray, and believe in prayer, we've seen it working. Each to their own, that comment (that I do not care to repeat) is not only harsh but outright disrespectful. There is a very sick little girl out there and her and her family (both well liked and respected members here) need all the help they can get.

So good to hear she is taking it like a trooper Koen. She's one brave little girl and she's going to make it! She has the determination and hope of a child with the world ahead of her. She will be fine when all is done. We all of course shall continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers as there is nothing greater than the many people praying for her and hoping for her. It's been proven to work.

the good news is that she still didn't get sick from the chemo
and she is still eating like the best of us
i think she can almost eat a cow a day LOL

Little update about the situation.
She's got her seconde doses of chemo and she's doing great. Doctors are very optimistic.
