Good morning fellow Metalheads 
Well, it's finally over with!! As most of you know I'm a union negotiator at the plant I work at. We've been in negotiations for a new contract since March and it's now a done deal!! The ratification vote was about 92% in favor of, which, to me, is vindication of the comittees hard work. In this day and age when unions are getting weaker, every contract gets harder and harder to make gains on. Fortunately, we made no concessions anywhere and made gains all across the board.
Now that this is over with, I can now come out and play a little more and Bev can quit rolling her eyes at me lol!! |

No kidding. You've been through alot. Good on you for keeping it all together.  Don't think I would be able to handle so much going on.
As for Christmas, you can always ask Santa for some peace and quiet next year...or you can ask him for Scottie.

Thanks Guid! Although that question was not as "need to know" as the bus question, I'm still glad to have for insane trivia to store in my head. If I ever get enough science in there, I'll be ready for Jeopardy!...................well,...................except the stage fright thing where I would stand there looking straight at the camera with a big dumb look on my face, just like I did when I was in "romper room" as a child. HA!!! Sad, but true.

I am not lost. I am not gone forever! I do want to thank a few certain members for their kind words and enthusiastic urging! I will not ignore you any longer. All is well in our world. The band is busy with year-end shows and we have come a LONG way since I started with them back in February. In fact, we have managed to accomplish things I never dreamed we could! I have had the opportunity to play at some incredible venues. I have met some really great people and I am living a very cool life. It has not all been "roses", though. The toll it has taken on my body is indescribable and the Princess has had to endure some very difficult times. As most of you know, we are not "night" people and this new life has come with a very big price tag. I get by but barely. The Princess has made the decision to stay home most of the time, especially when we are on the road. The travel and the pace are just too much for her and I am proud that she managed to hang in there as long as she did!!
Recently, we played a charity event for the SPCA. We are playing a regular show next weekend and then we are on the "road" again. Heading norteast to Utah. My understanding is that we will have a couple radio spots and some kind of interview but, you know how things tend to change. That is especially true when you are traveling with a group of people! In any event, I understand that there is a tremendous amount of excitement in the town we are playing so it can't be all bad, right?
I think of you folks all the time. I miss you, too. I do spend a large amount of time on FB but that is (of course) to promote the band. Many of our "fans" are there and it is a good way to stay in touch with them. We have a lot of real people as fans on FB (not just other band pages and industry pages). Modern technology really has made huge changes in the music business. I hope all of you are well. I will try to be more cognizant of my responsibilities to my friends here and be "less scarce". |
