I MET CARBONNEAU WAY BACK WHEN HE WAS PLAYING FOR THE HABS...A NICE ENOUGH FELLOW TO BE SURE,BUT AS WE SPORTS FANS KNOW ALL TOO WELL,YOU CAN'T FIRE THE TEAM,SO THE USUAL CASUALTY IS THE COACH...I WAS IN MONTREAL FOR THE AFTERNOON YESTERDAY,AND THERE WAS QUITE THE BUZZ AROUND TOWN FOR SURE,BUT BOB GAINEY,WHO I HAVE THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR,WILL BRING INTO THE ROOM A TREMENDOUS PRESENCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR SURE... AN INCREDIBLE CAPTAIN IN HIS TIME,AND MORE IMPORTANTLY,A GOOD MAN,WHO HAS SUFFERED PERSONAL TRAGEDIES OVER THE YEARS. ...

I feel for you, Soy. It's just like what Bob Clarke did to Billy Barber here in Philly a few years ago. Same situation...it's not the coach but the players who are at fault in this in my opinion, but time will tell.

Have you ever watched a Cubs night game at Wrigley Field? If you have, you've noticed that the field isn't as bright as a lot of the more modern stadiums are...there are a lot of 'shadows' on the field of play...I don't know Montreal's home ice, but there were 'shadows'...it was darker around the goalie and the top half of the rink...I flipped between the 2 games (Hawks were on locally) and it wasn't the TV (55" widescreen HD)...I was just making an observation...
