Just watched The Strangers--I really liked -it's more of a thriller as  there was hardly any blood but it is a movie worth watching--what "gets " me is it was based on true events--yes my fellow Priest friends -there are sickos/pyschos out there like that--sometimes that "scares " me more than the fake Hollywood stuff --knowing that somewhere out there someone has gone through it

Watched '30 Days of Night' just before... was very impressed.  The makers did well at stearing away from the stereotypical vampire character.. No bullsh*t! (They looked genuinly scary, quite demonic - the straight from hell type. )  Felt that it did start to drag towards the end however.
Most definately a movie to watch at night, when you're not too tired. Lot's of blood and violence for those of you who like a bit of action - .

Has anyone seen a movie called Meet The Feebles? It's an NZ movie by Peter Jackson who did the Lord Of The Rings films. Basically it's a pisstake of the Muppet Show but with loads of sex and violence. One of the best scenes shows a walrus having sex with a cat. It's all puppets too, like the Muppet Show. It's real funny.

I think he is, he doesn't get the same amount of recognition or attention as guys like Bruce Willis, George Clooney, Michael Douglas or John Travolta yet hes been plugging away at it for over 40 years and like you say, has never been out of demand. I reckon he'd be a worthy recipient of a lifetime achievement academy award.

I just watched Rambo.... Talk about a blood bath!!.... I loved it, the producers obviously didn't bow down to censorship one bit, and it had a decent story line. At one point i was screaming at the T.V for more.. highly recommended

I would not consider him to be very under rated. How many actors have been acting since they were small children. The first thing I remember seeing him on was an episode of Gilligan in black and white, of course, it was a rerun, not that old! LOL Then he did a slew of Disney movies I grew up watching, and then diappeared for a few years and re-emerged ready to kick some but as an action films guy. Snake Pliskin! I think while he may not be the most successful actor in hollywood money wise, he has never been out of demand, expect now which seems to be more self imposed than unable to work.

I noticed a few of you guys talking about one of the great under rated actors of our time, Kurt Russell, in one of the threads. Here are three great Kurt Russell movies that i like.

Dark Blue, in this one KR plays a hard drinking corrupt cop who is educating his younger partner as to "the way it is". Murder, payoffs, planting evidence etc reign supreme as everything begins to spiral out of control in the days leading up to the LA riots. This movie is awesome. Brendan Gleeson and Ving Rhames are also in it.

Tango And Cash, in this one KR plays Cash, it's an action movie about two cops who are complete opposites, thin on plot and loaded with shooting, explosions, fights and wisecracks. It's got everything you could want from a late 80s action flick, Sly Stallone is great in this too, playing Tango.

Big Trouble In Little China, this is an absolute classic, KR plays a truck driver who gets mixed up in a fiendish plot masterminded by an ancient chinese wizard. Without giving away too much, a chinese girl with green eyes is kidnapped by an evil wizard in order to fulfill a prophecy which will result in him gaining eternal life, KR and his rag tag bunch of helpers attempt to save her. Magic, gunfights, strange creatures, wizards, kung fu, people inflating, lightning being shot from fingers, wisecracks and swordplay from start to finish. I've lost count of how many times i've seen this. It is wicked.

Dr. Zeus was and still is my intellectual idol. Plus I had the whole treehouse when I was a kid. Sadly, I fell out of bed onto it once and that pretty much ended THAT!

Saw 30 Days Of Night and The Messengers this weekend.  Both were pretty good movies.  For those that like the blood, 30 Days is it for you.  If you just want pure horror (and dead people crawling on the ceiling really fast) The Messengers should quench your thirst!!!

Has anyone seen a movie called In The Company Of Men, it's about two guys who decide to mess around with a random womans emotions just for the hell of it. It's pretty heavy viewing in some parts and the way one guy in particular manipulates people is pretty disturbing, but its an intense movie. Aaron Eckhardt  plays the main manipulator, probably his best role that i've seen.
