I'm pleased with this photo now, for the longest time I considered it a 'one that got away!'. I had just missed a fantastic sunset and was a wee but annoyed. Coming back to it, I realise it has a sense of scale that pleases me.
Across the mouth of Lough Swilly, from Leenan in Urris, lies Fanad head. The tiny tower that is visible is the one of the most famous lighthouses in the world, Fanad Head lighthouse. Not long after this photo I got to visit it for the first time and the massiveness of it and the cliffs upon which it sits is stunning and yet here it pales in stature to a Donegal sky and the Atlantic ocean stretching out beyond. :)
