Hiya, Ronny!

Have fun, man! I couldn't see Halford play live when they were in San Fran (lack of money and mode of transportation). Thankfully I got the next best thing: a DVD of "Halford: Live at Rock in Rio 3". Gonna see that later today.

Well HELLO Vail and Budred!!  Good morning to the both of you!!

Things are always quiet around here when the boys are on a sabatical, just seems to be the way it is.  Halford touring the summer is the only really cool Metal thing I'm looking forward to.  I believe Aug. 17 is when Ozzfest w/Halford hits the Chicago area and I'm so totally stoked to be able to see that!!

I ain't Freeze nor Guido (who'd want to be those old, cranky, grammatically correct old-timers anyway? )...BUT! I'll say it anyways.

Good morning, ladies and gents of the Noticeboard!!! Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Hi my friends in Metal on the great site of the METAL GODS!!!!!

It's been a wild last few weeks for us!!  Things are starting to calm down a bit and we're starting to get into new routines.  We just got the phone and Internet set up this morning and it feels great to be re-connected with everyone.  Though I find taking a break from the Web every now and again to be refreshing AND needed, I like it to be on MY terms and NOT because I'm waiting for service!!!  lol

Hope everyone is doing well and in fine spirits!!

Hey all.  I know I havent been on much lately but I did want to and say hi and take the opportunity to invite all who may live near Somerset, KY ( south central KY ) to come out to see my and Ricks (Metallarks) band Takken perform on July 31st.   See the poster below....

I liked the last album too, maybe not as much as you do but I still like A Matter Of Life And Death, the material is dullish but it still holds a few flash backs of the original sound but its mixed in with synths and stuff wich is fine, but the album still is nowhere near early 80's Maiden. Its not even close to 1988's "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" album wich that album is too not even close to "Powerslave" or any album before it lol! At least I liked 8 out of 10 songs on it,the problem is the first track "Different World" wich I fuckin hate, that song sucks big time and so does track #7 "Benjamin Bragg" both were videos and singles off the album go figure.

But the album in genreral for Iron Maiden and how they can't write songs of quality anymore...I would say that its the best album since Seventh Son. The album cover artwork is cool too,and the names of the songs were much better than The Final Frontier, the entire "vibe" from this new album sucks. Its dissapointing and discouraging from a band I used to like.

I've never really been a big Maiden fan... Plus, they never fuckin' come to Minnesota! Fuck, Priest plays here AT LEAST twice during their tours, and Maiden doesn't come close to here. I could care less really, like I said, never been a big fan of 'em.

The thing is J.D, I actually really liked their last album. I know it divided people's opinions, but I though it was epic. I was expecting something of the same standard... well, I'll buy the album anyway. The previous song they released, 'El Dorado', grew on me quite a bit, I don't think 'The Final Frontier' will but there's 8 more tracks to go at and probably better ones; in recent years Maiden seem to have had trouble with the concept that 'the first single should be the best song on the album'.

I agree kiamat, the song "The Final Frontier" absolutely fuckin "sucks" big time. Its predictable, stupid and boring and I hate it!  Its so lame, even the shit for brains "Brian _Evans"(the fake maiden loving piece of shit)has kept his mouth shut about the BRAND NEW album if you can belive that?! lol! Its soooo awsome that he hasn't said but one or 2 posts about it and thats it.

Lets face it,the "Iron Maiden" that us old-schoolers used to know and love is long gone with the band member's egos and yes they have been long gone since 1990 -2010 the last 20 years.  I'm just tired of hearing, seeing this band's name ect...its a joke. This used to be a serious band with song-writting-talent,not a bunch of egomaniacs writting shit material knowing it will sell anyways cause thats all they are capable of writting these last 20 years.

DOWN THE FUCKIN IRONS.

I saw the video for The Final Frontier had been released. I've only seen a teaser, I will watch the whole thing when I am home from work later and see what I think of it.

Hey Vaill, glad to hear it. My toe is getting much better now, thanks.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone else has caught the new Maiden video? Don't want to colour anyone's perceptions of it but I have to say, I'm feeling a bit.. disappointed. The video is good in a Farscape-esque way, but the music, well, I just felt it wasn't very exciting. I just hope they haven't done a Metallica and produced an album's worth of unmemorable tripe on the basis that everyone will buy it anyway.

Those of you who think they've been doing that for the last 20 years anyway- well, regrettably this song won't be anything to change your minds.
