Poor police dog. I bet he'll be sorely missed by the police and his caretakers. That article was funny, though. That'll teach the owner to remove the ammunition from his firearm.

Hey Kia! Thanks for the well-wishes. The cut is healing up nicely. How's your toe now?

Evening everyone! Just popping in to say hi. Been super busy with work, phew! Found this funny article though lol! www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm A bit of a segway from some sad news here today, a police dog got killed in the line of duty and the two officers who were with him were shot (both survived thank God). All, it seems, over marijuana. Well that's worth shooting people over! Good grief some people are just the scum of the earth!

Ouch- poor you. Can totally sympathise with sharp-metal-to-extremities (am on second course of antibiotics for my foot). Hope your finger get better soon!

Anyhow, this weekend I have discovered... Blaze Bayley is an amazing singer... and he is surprisingly short in real life. From all the pictures/videos I've seen I somehow got the impression he was a good six foot. In fact he's no taller than me, maybe a little shorter. It didn't detract from his performance but he came on stage, and it was unannounced as the previous band (the awesome Fury UK- check em out) did a tribute to Ronnie James Dio (yesterday would've been his 67th birthday) so Blaze came on and sang Heaven and Hell, and I'm ashamed to say that the first time that struck me was 'he's shorter than I expected'.
Is that weird?

Anyway, he's cool. It was a good gig.

Happy Sunday, ladies and germs of the Noticeboard!

Hope you all have a good day! Or at least a better one than my left thumb is having. I was cutting up an apple as part of an early morning snack when the knife cut my thumb as well. Good news is that it didn't get chopped off, and it's now on its way to recovery. Still hurts, though.

TGIF! Well, it is here, LOL! Hope everyone is having a great week thus far. It's freezing cold here today, but like I said, TGIF! LOL!

Morning. Nice and HOT here in beautiful Vegas. Helps the back some but, by and large, I am still feeling like crap. Wonderful, eh? Well, off to find something constructive to occupy my feeble mind.

Have any of you seen a sea urchin's skeleton? My mom and I used to look for them while visiting some tide pools back in SoCal. We would use them to decorate the massive aquarium that we used to have. Take a looksie.

That picture is too cool. My wife was digging it also.

Nay, not me. I grew up around too many people telling me of the dangers those suckers pose.

Fed many to a fish, though. Knock on wood that I don't get my comeuppance!

Your sister sat on one??? OUCH!!! Poor girl!
My mother pulled her whole toenail off not long ago. All she did was open a low computer cabinet door and she was wearing flip flops and the door ripped her entire toenail off. When it's no longer infected, and you want it to look like you have a nail, here's what my mother did. She painted the area with tuff skin, and then painted over it with nail polish. Couldn't tell she had no nail. LOL

I take it you've been on the nasty end of one of those urchins Guid? Gives me chills just to think about he pain they can cause.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by kiamat from Saturday, July 03, 2010 4:01:42 PM)

Heh, no, but since you mention it my sister sat on one. She was picking spines out for a week!

In a much less impressive moment, I was walking down the quayside when I stubbed my toe on a protruding iron strut and somehow managed to half rip my big toe nail off. We just had to bandage it up and and carry on, unfortunately it got infected which has complicated things, I'll spare you all the details but it means I have to keep it clean and dry for the next week. Hopefully the damn thing will have healed up by next saturday as I've got tickets to SOS fest, headlined by non other than Blaze Bayley! Right now I can't even get shoes over the bandage

Just saw in on the internet and thought it was a happy picture. Never seen the sun obscured so perfectly.  Looks like a big smiling pumpkin.
Hope you had a good trip to Greece. How did you manage to mess up your foot? You didn't jam into one of those black spiney urchin things that cling to rocks did you? Those look so painful!

That's a lovely picture Spa- where it is?

Wow, I really should get on here more often, not sure what I've missed. Admittedly I spent two weeks sailing in Greece but now I'm back and laid up with a foot injury (courtesy of said trip) I do have the time to spend round here.
