This is in response to the argument going on in the Japanese thread.

There's nothing wrong with posting better quality versions of previously posted pics. I mean, as long as it shows Judas Priest in action, and it's a good pic, then that's great! If there's a better version of it, then that's great, too. The more, the merrier. There is no money gained when posting pics of Judas Priest on the Noticeboard. It should be about appreciation for the greatest band in the world, not for feeling inferior just because someone always has a better version of what's been posted. I enjoy seeing the JP pics that both Simon and Maple post (or anyone, for that matter). I hope you two settle your differences soon.

I have to say that I am very sorry things are the way they are here these days. The regulars know why I am scarce. I really love (MOST of)  you and I do miss you. In a rather fair amount of pain today as we had a show last night. I will post a few shots on the "WEB POLICE" thread for Bud's sake very soon. Anyway, if there is any justice in this world, things will improve and we will see old friends chatting again and life will be good.

** On another note, all of us UCLA alumni and the UCLA family in general mourn the loss of the GREATEST college coach in history;  John Wooden, who passed away yesterday at age 99. I was never fortunate enough to actually meet the man, although he did speak regularly during my years in school. Looking back, it was rather foolish of me to miss an opportunity to listen to such a great, great man. I saw him once, from a distance. I suppose THAT will count for something in life... Sleep well, "Coach".

Awww there's the love! I've been out and about all day, we went and visited my sister. We went to a creole style restaurant for lunch in Wellington, where she lives (NZ's capital city) and I tried beignets for the first time, yum! LOL!

Yeah, our group will be tough, NZ have already been written off by many, but I think we will cause problems for those teams. England does have a tradition of getting eliminated early, so you guys could well cause an upset I'm looking forward to the friendly against you guys this weekend, we're getting up early on saturday morning to watch it.

Thats a pretty tough group. Slovakia was first in our qualifiyng group. Italy is always a danger, and Paraguay are far from being write offs too. Well, you will have the same advantage that we do, anyway - Italy is usualy a bit to confident for their own good, and that usualy works against them.

Anyway, we have England, Algeria and the United States (tough luck Guido - maybe if youre good boys we will let you have the second place), and I really hope we can beat England, since they have a wonderfull tradition of getting eliminated in the first round.

Yup. Youre playing against us. We will see - I dont know much about your team, but its a match between two teams who qualified for the cup, so no opponent will be easy.

LOL Strat! We have Italy, Slovakia and Paraguay. We played Italy in a friendly 1-2 years ago and they only beat us in extra time. We just beat Serbia in a friendly a few days ago too, they're ranked 15th we're 78th LOL!!! So we're doing well in the friendly stages. I hope you guys do well too!  Who's in your group?

Vail, I am so glad you tell me this. Craig tried to order me a copy as a surprise gift but I found out about it and now I'm like a kid before Christmas.. I keep harassing the postman because it should be arriving pretty much any day now.

Becks & Guido, I will gladly keep you up to date with the WC. Thankfully politically things have sort of been ok. There have been a lot of major striking for higher wages strategically done in a few weeks leading up to the WC but they came to an agreement so that seems to be ok. 
I believe there is a more visual presence of police force etc but I think it will be ok. I pray that it will be. The government is calling for everyone to just chill out and 'behave' during the cup. Lets hope they do.

Ah, KEWL, Joe! Do keep us posted as to any pertinent "inside" info on the games. I am one of a handful of Americans who actually enjoys watching the WC. Alas, like ice hockey, they really don't televise much (if any) of the games here. Sometimes I luck out and can see it on the Spanish channels but it is hit-or-miss.

Speaking of "miss," I noticed and missed ya! Wondering about the political situation, in fact. Things calm down, I hope? Take care of yourself and the family.

Becks, it is so cool here! The spirit is so cool! We've got everyone with their supporting country flags flying and every friday the whole country is wearing our national team's jersey. The kids are all hyped up and at school they've got a little count-down board in the classroom. Some of the teams are arriving already and it is such a festive feeling.
