But honey, calm down. They're only tickets to a show not hospital beds.
Who is forcing you to buy tickets at 5x the actual price? Is anybody twisting your arm? Aren't there more than scalpers websites where you can purchase your tickets? Then be patient and take your time shopping around.
As you said, the tix are not even on sale!
And now you know: JP is not in their right fucking minds. But were they ever?
I'm going to write another country song:
The Day KK Left The Band, is the title of this titty.
Yes, I AM saying that other bands managements are involved in the reservation of blocks of seats!! Ozzy blocks off the ENTIRE FIRST 10 ROWS for the package deals. You have to go to Will Call and show ID to get your ticket the day of the show. Therefore completely eliminating scalpers from buying those tickets. Journey and Def Leppard are doing the same thing. Iron Maiden has always done it. The Scorpions just did it last year. Let me make this clear to you - THE TICKETS ARE NOT EVEN ON SALE TO THE PUBLIC YET AND THE TICKET RESALE SITES ALREADY HAVE THE FRONT ROW TICKETS ON SALE FOR UP TO 5X THE ACTUAL TICKET PRICE. Do you get it yet?????? Ticketbastard has contracts with the ticket brokers and unless MANAGEMENT of the band blocks off seats - which as I just explained to you has been done by MANY BANDS so IT CAN AND IS DONE, Ticketbastard will do this to increase their profits.
Who knows, maybe JP and management get a cut of the $$$ from the ticket brokers. Jayne and Bill need to pad their retirement after all since NO OTHER BAND IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MINDS would ever hire them!!

Tickets for Rock on the Range for field passes were $125.00 and that was for an all day event two days in a row.
I don't think I'll be going to multiple shows if the good seats are $150.00. WTF? I love Priest more than any other
band but not enough to pay that much. And if what I'm reading here about the first 12 to 14 rows being gone already
you may as well go with the cheap seats. This whole fucking tour is turning into a debacle. If there is any good to any
of this it's that it's happening at the end of their career and not in their prime. I would have bailed on them long ago.

Judas Priest is doing what they've always done.
If you by now don't know it, then stick to the bands you are comparing Priest with, go see their shows instead, as they do things the way YOU WANT them to, and leave Judas Priest to the real fans who don't care about being close to them enough to chew their eyeballs out. You see, by now everybody knows how each of them looks like. Ticket sales will be what ticket sales will be. Navigate the morass the best way you know how and good luck. By "you" I mean Plural.
If you are there for the music and the show, then being closest to the stage isn't your best spot. Each venue will have their policy and many go to the same place to see other shows and know their way around their local theaters. Budred, for example, has met tons of bands and not always he's been able to get the seats he wanted. It looks like he has enjoyed himself, though.
Instead of doing the high school ganging up on/ goading for heated replies - and you should be lucky I'm throwing you some pearls - why don't you be more like the other thousands of fans worldwide who will be happy to attend their shows no matter where they'll be in the audience? Your American style of crap slinging is old.
I don't care about Ozzy Osbourne Meet and Greet packages.
The legendary Prince of Darkness is back in support of his new album, Scream. Get access to the best seats and more with an Ozzy Osbourne package!
Meet & Greet Package includes:
One premium ticket located within the first 3 rows of the stage
Exclusive Meet & Greet with Ozzy
Personal Photograph with Ozzy
VIP access to the exclusive pre-concert party hosted by MC Big Dave
And more!
Possessed Party Package includes:
One premium ticket located within the first 10 rows of the stage
VIP access to the exclusive pre-concert party hosted by MC Big Dave
Exclusive Ozzy Osbourne Concert Shirt
And more!
Don't forget to add the EXCLUSIVE Ozzy Osbourne T-Shirt for only $28 during checkout!
SEE FOR YOURSELF [ . ]. Ozzy did this at Joe Louis Arena for the Black Rain tour too. So, it ISN'T THE VENUE or the other bands supporting him as you claim!!!!!!!!! IT IS IN FACT MANAGEMENT or should I say in JP's case, lack there of.

THAT is how a band keeps those seats for its fans!!! It just looks to me like JP and their management just don't care, as long as the seats get sold. Well, they are going to have the same situation that I saw in Cincinnati: people in the front row standing 5 feet back from the barrier looking bored. I got "Pit Passes" for Mayhem and they were only $75.00 and that's an all day event.

Wow, that would have been a great experience, something like Queensryche did. That is showing true appriciation to their fans. I don't see anything like that happening this tour and you would think, if this is the last tour, they would have done something like that. Sadly, no.
I am just so upset about this. There are so many things that management could have planned for this farewell tour! It should be a celebration of the band and a thank you to the fans that have supported them. They could have done fanclub raffles like Queensryche does and you win either sound check passes or after show party passes. And when I say aftershow party, I mean the entire band is there milling around for 30-60 minutes talking to everyone (Mark did it) taking pictures and signing autographs and they are actually HAPPY to meet you. THAT is how you show your hardcore fans that you appreciate them!! Queensryche also just posted an auction to be Ryche Royalty and go on tour with them. Can you imagine? Priest could do all sorts of things, but this is just business as usual for them, which I find VERY SAD! I envisioned them blocking off the front row for hardcore fans, that during the pre-show party would get to go to sound check. We would get to go up on stage and sing the chorus of something like United or Take on the World during the show. Talk about AWESOME!! So many things that could be done to set JP apart from every other band and for the band to show their appreciation to the fans that have been with them all the way.
Jayne: Call Sharon Osbourne and ask her how to set up a great fan experience!! SHE knows how to make both the fans and the band happy!!

Hmm....so you're saying that other bands managements are involved in the reservation of blocks of seats?
That you have to consider the other two bands who also have contracts with each venue?
Judas Priest are gods but have limitations. Venus, Mars and even Zeus had to obey certain rules.

So obviously, Ticketbastard has a contract with these "resellers" and they get certain blocks of seats (the good seats that we all want) before they ever go on sale. That is why bands like Def Leppard, Scorpions, Journey, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Queensryche just to name a few, have in their contracts with these very same venues that JP is going to, that the first 10 rows or so are blocked off for packages. THAT is how a band keeps those seats for its fans!!! It just looks to me like JP and their management just don't care, as long as the seats get sold. Well, they are going to have the same situation that I saw in Cincinnati: people in the front row standing 5 feet back from the barrier looking bored. We won auction seats for the front row and were in the middle. Glenn finally was so frustrated that he noticed us and started playing in the middle!! So, the band WILL care come show time, but they don't seem to see why this is happening in the first place and that THEY CAN PREVENT IT!! Ticketmaster has not listed that show yet J.D. That's the scalper sites your seeing. Real cost will probably more in the 80-90 dollar range for pit tickets and down in price from there. (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Sunday, June 05, 2011 1:07:37 PM)

Yeah I know this is the last chance I get to see the band but I'll skip seeing Judas Priest live... My memories of the Ram It Down show in 1988 is good enough for me, I'll buy a DVD of the live show unless it too is $122.00 bucks? lol! We are both well and looking forward to November although I'd never be one to rush a summer away!
I'm with you on wishing they would have come in warm weather. That venue looks like it's right there on the shore of Lake Mich! That would be wonderful in the summer, and sadly cold/windy as hell in the late fall. I suppose we can all hope for an exceptionally warm late fall night. LOL
I have already ordered the banner for us girls to shamelessly wave about, and the shirts...........which I know you will understand are for girls only! HA!!! Nobody is forced to wear it though, but it's a good souvenir. In case you have not seen said picture yet, it's under Sinful and says: "I want to be whipped by Rob Halford!" HA!!
Flora has asked me to go through all my JP albums and pick the songs to load to her computer/ipod. Why? She knows them almost as well as me. I think she's trying to shrug work off on me!
One song from each album? How could We possibly predict what we shall hear! And a couple of new songs too? It's going to be a great show!
Hi Spapad, good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Am I the only one who doesn't want to go back to work tomorrow?? Upper 80's today and in the 80's for the next week...FINALLY feels like summer out there!!
Wish Priest were doing the States in the summer as they sometimes did. Would usually hit Chicago around mid-August around Rob's bday.
Really looking forward to hearing some new material!!
Does a song off every album mean off Jugulator and Demolition as well? I know the band said something off every album, but as I'm finding out here recently on the Board, what the band claims and what they REALLY mean are sometimes two different things. Does anyone know?

Just read the Rolling Stone article. Glad to see "Never Satisified" in there as its one of my favorites but I can really do without Hell Bent, Living after midnight and Breaking the law. I think they should dedicate those 13 or 14 minutes to something we havent heard in forever or something they havent done...ever. Would love to hear Raw Deal or Genocide or Killing Machine, or Stained Class. Hell i'd rather hear Before the dawn than Hell bent. Theres too many thats been rubbed in the grouind!

Sad you got a little sick time on your vacation. I know I treat every vacation like some sort of mad quest to squeeze everything I can out of it. lol That would suck to be sick even a day.
Good to hear you enjoyed yourself.
*waves* hi everyone! Well I'm back home from my travels in the USA. We had a great time but it went by so fast. Unfortunately while I was in Vegas I didn't get to see Freeze and his band play or meet him - we were only there for a short time and the whole time I had a nasty head cold AND on top of that got a stomach upset, not fun! But overall our trip was great, glad to be back in good old NZ though lol.
[Becks] Sunday, May 22, 2011 2:23:31 PM
I know what you mean! And yes we enjoyed Vegas, it was very interesting and pretty crazy LOL! I've never been anywhere quite like Vegas, I think you'll agree it's very unique lol!
I am SO very sorry we did not get a chance to meet, Bec. I feel as though a great opportunity has slipped past us. Being sick is awful, especially when you are away from home!
I trust you enjoyed my Vegas? We played out of town anyway so you could not have seen us. THAT is truly a shame. We are back in town this coming weekend and then BACK on the road again so..it is what it is. I will always have a place in my heart for you , my dear. Please know that.

Cannot really say much has changed here other than we are on the road more now that we used to be. I am not a big fan of road trips but the fan reaction and enthusiasm is just remarkable!! It always makes the trip worth it, you know? I see that there are many "new faces" here so, rather than go on about me, I will ask that some of the old "regulars" fill in the blanks if anyone asks. We are playing on Memorial Day weekend here in Vegas and then on to a short, two state tour the beginning of June. When we return, the Princess and I will be off for our annual vacation at the beach in Cal!!! Cannot wait to get on that beach and just LAY AROUND!!!
As for the Princess, she is doing OK. Still very sick but we manage. She does not travel with me and rarely even goes to our local shows anymore, as it is simply far too difficult on her physically. She prefers to just stay home and stay comfortable which is fine. I have enough on my plate trying to take care of my own pain, you know?? HA!!!!!!!!!! I have not made any changes to my decision NOT to attend the "Epitaph Tour" or "Final" Tour or whatever it is being called. I still am of the opinion that it is simply not "Priest", for me. Those of you that do go will have a great time, I am sure!
As for all of you, I think of you often and I honestly do miss you all very much, This is evidenced by my coming here to say "hi". I check my "inbox" occasionally and I do appreciate the nice notes from you all. It warms my old heart to know there are still so many dear friends here. Thank you so much.
Well, enough now. I will be off. Again, all my warmest and best regards to my extended family here at JP.com! You are and will always be very, very special to me!! Take care, enjoy your summer AND enjoy the Tour (*those of you that do plan to go!!)

Yes, I will be there and I most definitely am giving Richie a chance. I think he will be great (or I at least I am hopeful that he will be great) given the fact that Glenn speaks so highly of him. But I can't get over this devastated feeling I have of seeing Richie in KK's place, that's all. I'm just fucking crushed because this ISN'T the way it should end. But, it's the way it is and I will support my all time favorite band no matter what. I'll be there, screamin' my lungs out with as many of you metal maniacs as we can get together. I'm just heartbroken at the moment. But life goes on and I wish KK all the best! Kick ass Richie, the world is watching (no pressure there at all, right?). Richie has balls of steel to get up there and try to fill KK's shoes! I hope he blows everyone away!!!

Past Easter but I just got my egg. Gotta love Brasil. When they make a chocolate egg, they make an egg!
Pulling the rope, you can see the egg is also wrapped in foil held upright in a plastic cup (look closely).

HAAHAHA! Kind of now that you mention it Ron! Looks like Scottie got a haircut. Maybe it'll all grow back out by the time we see him.
Doesn't Scott's pic make him look more like he's a member of the Ramone's rather than the greatest Metal band?? lol

Yeah the logo resembles the logo from the Painkiller era. Almost makes me wish they restore the "t" at the end.

Were you trying to go for the same example the Brit made running 19 miles home after a marathon? Ah, you must have been inspired! From the sound of it you regret being so inspired. lol At least you made it! As I know you had NO cell to call for a ride home. It was for autism, though, so a good cause. Cute little medal too. Guy also gave me a shirt and coupon for a free haircut!

The wind has been a big pain for a bunch of states in the past week. I'm glad it's settling here in VA finally.
Glad you had a good time! Must be depressing to return to snow at this time of year.

Every single person who bought a ticket, should be given a refund and an apology. Not some stupid management-statement about what a "great show" it will be.
Don't get me wrong - the issue is not that K.K is leaving, it's not a catastrophy that there's a new dude playing guitar - I mean, for god's sake, we survived the Ripper-era!
And I don't think any less of Glenn, Rob, Ian and Scott as musicians or members of Judas Priest.
NONE OF THAT is "the problem". The problem is announcing K.K's departure a month before the European summer-tour, when it's too late to cancel flights, rental cars, hotels and concert tickets! MAYBE I wanted the opportunity to make up my own mind whether or not I wanted to see this "alternative Priest".
I wasn't given that chance. I feel like an idiot for having been PLAYED this way, tricked into buying tickets to something that is not what I expected to see.
You wouldn't be okay if you paid for a Mercedes and someone delivered a Fiat to you door either.
People can say whatever they want, I think this was dishonest - and it doesn't really matter if it's K.K's fault, or Judas Priest's fault or the management's fault. The fact remains - I've taken vacation days and spent a lot of money on something that is not what it was being advertised as.
Sorry - but in my book, that's wrong.

Right again. As with everything else with this band since Halford returned the bottom line has been how to milk it for as much money as possible. Nobody here needs to know why KK left, it's obvious anyway. One party can't stand the other party. The fact is Priest have been underhanded and sneaky and have ripped off their fans again, particularly European fans who bought tickets to their shows not knowing KK would not be playing. I'm pretty much fed up with them. I didn't listen to the Ripper era and I won't be listening to the Faulkner era. The reality is Judas Priest, as a band, died in 91. Daniela P wrote:
"...they had waiting so long in the hope that KK would COME BACK. They finally realised the clock had ticked too long." Oh please.
It doesn't strike you as more likely that they were waiting because it would have affected ticket sales if they dropped the bomb earlier? They "realised" that MAYBE they should say something - a month before the tour? Yeah.
Well then, I guess we're looking at this from different angles, no doubt.
I don't know who's to blame for this mess, and I wish I did. If I hadn't been a fan, I wouldn't have cared. Unfortunately - I DO care. And they can't go hiding behind a shitty management and their bad decisions, like a three-year-old hides behind mommy's skirt when shit hits the fan.
How can I go to a Priest-show now, feeling that they are genuine? I'm sorry, I just can't. At least not unless they tell us what really happened, cause I'm not buying the lame excuses given so far.
