JJ is right, HR. It had nothing to do with the show, malware, virus...any of that nonsense. It is going to be a system-specific error that is only affecting your machine. I'd be looking more at how your machine is handling streaming mp3s, Active X, full harddrive. Things such as those. The files he is posting are squeaky clean.
[jimmyjames] Monday, June 21, 2010 4:48:28 PM
It must be something else, no-one else has had any problems with the site. You don't need to download the show, you can just listen to it.

I am unable to download Battle Ready by Otep, is there another song of theirs you would like to hear? Or something else?

That band is called Red Fang, they're from the US, and the song was called Whales And Leeches. I'll play another song of theirs on next weeks show so you can hear some more of them. Otep should be no problem, I'll play that as well.

I just listened to Pt. 1 of your last show. Not too bad. I liked alot of the music you played.
One in particular that caught my attention was the band you played after Bad Boy Boogie(AC/DC).
I had trouble understanding you when you named them, who are they? I wanna check them out.
You have a radio show and I don't, so advice may not be in order but I have a suggestion. Obviously
people listen to radio for the music, but I think you should include a little talk also. Band rumors, news,
updates, things like that. If I can put a request in, how about "Battle Ready" by OTEP. Take care!
[jimmyjames] Saturday, May 29, 2010 1:25:31 AM

They're not really metal enough, I played them once or twice before and it didn't really fit the show but in saying that they are a huge influence on the metal scene. Don't think Dirty Movies will fit the show very well but I will find a VH song and play it for you

Hell yeah, how about Venom "Sons Of Satan" from the 1981 debut album "Welcome To Hell",this was the first track on the album(side one) that started all extreme metal. They are Godfathers of black metal, death metal, speed metal and thrash metal, all names Cronos came up with for Venom's style back in 1980 when the single "In League With Satan" was released,as you know before Venom there were no extreme metal bands, only heavy metal and punk . Sons Of Satan!

You know, I just tried to find my jersey (Nike...original) like the guy in the vid is wearing here (Río soccer team) and found that the drawer I looked is full of JP shirts. HAAAA!!! I swear, I was almost kicked out by the doormen because I was wearing that thing. I had no idea that they were all for another team in the city (Flumenense). Ended up buying one of those too...

Look up the stadium of Maracaná sometime. It is CRAZY to see a game there. I go. LOL. Still, people fire rockets from one end to the next in the heat of battle. I have learned to sit under the overhang seats. Fewer bottles hit close to you.

Is that better or worse than Brazillian rap? Hmmmm.....

I go to Brazil most every year and I own their CDs. Hard to tell. If you spoke Portuguese, however, you'd know that they are a Ramones rip-off band singing about an establishment of "ill-repute" in Joao (Juan=John) Pessoa.

I couldn't tell you how much time me an my true metal buddies tried to reproduce that song. One of the many reasons I cannot believe how many people can be divided about metal and rap. Like two different species or something. To me? It is the same thing. Cultural music depending on your culture, I suppose. In Detroit, you'll find as much rap as metal (depending on the bar, I suppose...I am a native). That is why Run-DMC and Aerosmith was such a natural meld to me. I honestly didn't thing twice about it. Damn, look at DMC's shoes. LOL!!

Explains why I take any sort of racism to heart, I suppose. I grew three streets out of Detroit proper (three streets out of the race riots of '67, IOW) and can't fathom the ideas of anyone with racial problems of any kind. I actually thought that rap and metal would come closer than it actually did, in fact. Guessed wrong, I suppose...this vid sure inspired me in my youth, though.

I agree that M got old (another Detroit boy) but I did like some of his songs because, at LEAST, he could rap in his very limited manner (mainly dealing with his life which was 10 miles from mine).

Now how about this to shut down the tread tonight. HAAAAA! "THE HUMAN BEAT-BOX!"  RIP. He was interesting, if nothing more. I have seen other vids before but this one got me laughing out loud.

Old school had some talent but not my cuppa! The ones today, I would love to wrap them all in bubble wrap and bounce them from the highest building to see if they make it. I put Emenim at the front of the ball,  even though I actually do like a couple things he did. "Now you kiss the kid, put down the lid and think about what you just did. DON'T PUSH ME...!" I have a very hard time believing that rappers have NO talent. Old school. I say nothing about the newbies.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Friday, April 16, 2010 10:49:13 PM)

I still have my parachute pants. Yes, I saw the Vanilla Ice movie with the Ninja Turtles (and can name them all plus master Splinter) because I had a very little brother.

Don't make me break (heh) out some pictures, now. I have never been one to hide that I think that Detroit is such an eclectic mix of rap and metal. ANY bar: Motown / Metal. I'll deny nothing! I still have hair, though. I could just moonwalk. HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

Oh, I can cite that word for word! Still, I prefer Melle Mel when he split from the Sugarhill gang.

Ok, go back even further. "Rapper's Delight" I think I still remember all the words. I was about 13, 14 when it came out. I thought it was funny.

Thanks for Halford "Sun" and I was suprised to find tucked in at the last a band I had not heard for many years. I had their stuff on "tape" explains the time lapse.
When I heard "The Real Thing" I went and downloaded the album.  I forgot how much I liked it. OK, Im going to take a bunch of flack for this but, I do like Faith No More.
Combination of Rap and Metal, but I forgot how much  I really like them.

Hey guys the next Metal Meltdown show is available to listen to now at www.coastaccessradio.org.nz

It's going to be a special show this week as I have a song which some of the members of JP.com emailed to me so worth checking out of that reason alone. Thanks to Phil ( Metal Meltdown ) and Rick ( Metallark ) and their bandmate Doug for that. Also to Acolyte and Headbanger your requests are in there too.
Had a couple of technical difficulties with this weeks show in that I cannot access it from my computer but other people can so if you have any problems please let me know either in this thread or by PM so I can try and get them rectified. Thanks and enjoy. JJ.
