Met the PRIEST in Victoria last week...
[windswept] Wednesday, July 30, 2008 7:43:28 AM
good morning,

my meet and greet at nissan is one week away.....  the only thing i have received is an email stating what time to be at the box office.  i seriously have to meditate and center myself every day because i DON'T want to act like that 14 year old girl the first time i heard them.  and now that it is getting closer ~ geez!  i am starting to have dreams about meeting the band.  if you look at my profile, i have a photo of me and ian hill from when i was 19 years old.  it was cool but i really wanted to cry when i looked over and saw rob, kk, and glen walking out to the bus and not even coming close to where they had all of us......  i think i would have spent double the money just to meet halford.  i wish that i could have a photo with halford ( ) alone, to me, that would be worth the 400.00 bucks....  but i also snagged a front row ticket in the deal.  i have never had front row to any seated show!  i have taken photos there before so hopefully i can get some good ones of them on stage...  sorry to ramble on, now i am getting even more excited...

PS:
Sorry for the many mistakes in the message below. it was the result of fast writing and not checking the text....
For those who have no laminates or so: don´t be afraif of not being let in. We  were asked to go to the ticket counter at the hall and get there a funny piece of paper (like a voucher for a Bratwurst at the Oktoberfest  or ticket of a tram...). Very cheap looking and easy to be thrown away afterwards. However, what I mean is, that even without a laminate you will be able to enter the hall. So, SNAPAD, no sweat, you´ll meet the Priest.Or, rather, a lot of sweat because of the excitement to meet them. Poor Rob...what he had to touch down there at Munich, wet Fans ( cause of the heat.....)etc.
Have a lot of fun

Hi, I am back from my deserved holidays and I am very excited about your feedbakcs. There were food and drinks????? Where? THAT sounds great. We would´ve needed that in Munich with 30°C. No support like that there. well, it didn´t matter thogh.. when the band came to us, I wouldn´t have be able to drink  because of the excitement.
As I was writing I had the M&G in Munich, 24st of June. Until today, I haven´t received ANY item of the VIP package, means: No T-Shirt, No laminat .....Just two weeks ago, an apology by mail that it is delayed again. So, still waiting and hoping..
In Germany, first they told us not to bring cameras at all, like it is mentioned in the contract. One week before the happening, they wrote us to bring our own cameras..... Well, I preferred that, so at least I could be sure, that the equipement was o.k. And, lucky we´ve been, the photos that that horrible manager took were good, even if it was only one per person.
All in all, to every JP-fan who can afford it: DO IT: IT IS GREAT TO BE SO CLOSE TO THE METAL GODS!
PS:
In Munich, Glen wasn´t bitchy at all. He was really friendly and nice, as the whole band was, like I mentioned in my first message.

Thanks Jeanine, I may still stutter or some other nervous breakdown type thing, but I at least won't be shaking. Lets see; Eight days till Christmas now! I can't wait to unwrap me presents! LOL.
Just to meet them is enough for me. But I can have evil fantasies!

Just tried calling the Superpages.com center in Dallas (GREAT name. Just rolls off the tip of your tongue, eh?). They actually have answering machine that sounds like it was recorded by a 15 year old! "Um, like, sorry...we aren't able to take your call. Please leave your name and question and we'll, uh, try and call you back when we get a minute." AAAAHHHHH!!!!  All I want to know is if I can bring a damn camera!

I think it is all a LiveNation consipiracy. They are trying to annoy people on purpose.

Me!
I hope I don't just freeze, I will kkeep telling myself, over and over, that I will not  freak out!

I may take Flexiril that day! Just So I am not shaking when, I meet them .

PS: Flexiril  is something I got for my back a couple years ago. I only take them when I need them, Which is never now,  but strangely enough they keep me from going into panic mode! They just keep my muscles relaxed! I feel less stress. So yeh, I'll be taking one of those! Not high, just not shaking!

Here's to a steady day at meet and greet!

HELL YES!!! I was really amazed at Jeanine's composure in actually sounding coherent when asking a question. Here would be me:

Guido: "I...um...Mr. Glenn Downing...lifelong fan, I owe my life to you and, um, oh yeah, am guido on JP.com and...do you remember when..."
Rob: "Thanks, do you have a QUESTION?"

Think Chris Farley doing an interview on SNL. That would be me at the meet and greet. I have already decided not to say anything more than "thank you for doing this."

Ya' know, I understand the VIP rules and got the email asking about the t-shirt size but I still gotta say that a week before leaves me a bit unsettled as well. Especially when I saw a VIP tix on eBay that actually SAID VIP as mine doesn't. Just a huge price and row 2.

I am sure it will be fine but still...I am one to sweat the details!

Paper, my show is only 13 days away and still have not gotten my VIP stuff. They don't send it till 10 to 7 days before the show.

I booked Vegas 9/1. Are they EVER going to send me a lanyard so I can get in?
[guidogodoy] Saturday, July 26, 2008 1:21:38 PM
Good to know. In the Pittsburgh venue, there are perfect rules to follow. Exactly as you said, HB. No professional cameras, water, tailgating beforehand (no bottles, be safe), water, etc. Duh...you would think the Dallas folks would have a similar page but NOOO. Just crappy LiveNation's brilliant website that directs you to check with the website of the actual venue WHICH IS THEIR OWN!

Like herding cats.

Checked 'em out in Victoria. It was cool that the whole band
took part in the deal it wasn't a sit down affair...
[Dave928] Saturday, July 26, 2008 3:32:41 AM
what i tried to post earlier:

in line in Seattle they told us no cameras, but if you got one in they didn't do anything.

hell, people were taking pictures right in front of event staff and they didn't do a thing.
