Hi Maple! I do have to agree that most of the people at Ozzfest during HALFORD wanted to hear Priest songs. However, those same people didn't even know that Heart of a Lion WAS a Priest song! So, most of those people were your typical I only know 3 Priest songs "fan". I don't consider someone that only knows Breakin' the Law, Living After Midnight and You Got Another Thing Comin' a Priest fan.
I am a HUGE fan of both Priest and HALFORD. Before Rob rejoined Priest, sure I wanted him to do Priest songs - it was the only way to hear Rob sing them. Now that he is back with Priest, I want the HALFORD band to only play HALFORD songs and Priest to play Priest. That is just my opinion and I know that others do not feel the same way. Anyone that goes to see the HALFORD band expecting Rob to do Priest songs for the majority of the set now will be completely disappointed. He has already stated that he will only include a couple songs that Priest has never played live. Now that makes me happy because it will be the only way to hear some of those great songs done live. People tend to forget that this is his Solo project he is promoting. My advice to fans is, if you want to hear Priest, then go see Priest. I'll be there in Cleveland to support the HALFORD band and hopefully other HALFORD band fans turn out as well. Perhaps Ozzfest had too diverse a crowd and isn't a good indication of what people want to hear. Most of the people by me wanted to see Motley Crue and stood there with their big 80's hair and boobs popping out of their tank tops..... I'll let you know the reaction in Cleveland. But I agree, Priest has a ton more fans out there than the Halford band does and more people know Priest songs than Halford/Fight songs.

Two things here IMO: 1) Halford so needs Tipton & Downing as part of the writing and collaboration, it is obvious 2) Halford is doing the Scream tour with Ozzy shortly in the US. Ok, Ozzy has been playing 19+ song great setlists and including everything spanning his career with Sabbath to his solo stuff incl: Into the Void, Rat Salad, Killer of Giants, Bark at the Moon, Flying High Again etc..
Halford better pack some good & more Priest tunes into his setlist this time, b/c honestly all his solo stuff (Golgatha?) incl. Fight at this point is: dated and cant even hold water to what Ozzy is doing night in and out. So you can go on and about Silent Screams etc..and most of the other solo stuff, but seriously people do not want to hear it. He can hide it, but nothing comes across better than the classic Priest material, hello. Especially in this day, people have complained that the older Metal Bands are considered dinosaur acts. Im sure I will hear some feedback on this, but I wanted to put this one out b/c it has been on my mind. Thanks.

lol! You love the Made Of Metal cd but hate the Angel Of Retribution cd,that just blows my mind away, but its all good dude,we like what we like. Saying you don't like tracks like "Judas Rising,Deal With The Devil,Wheels Of Fire,Demonizer,Eulegy" is like someone saying they don't like songs like "Riding On The Wind,Jawbreaker,Heading Out To The Highway,Nightcrawler and Battle Hym". It just blows me away. Angel Of Retribution compleately wipes away the Made Of Metal album so far its not even a comparison.
Hellrider,I'd go as far as saying that by you claiming Angel Of Retribution being "dull" is no different than you saying Defenders Of The Faith,Screaming For Veangeance,British Steel,Hell Bent For Leather,Stained Class,Sin After Sin and Sad Wings Of Destiny all being "dull". Your the only person I've ever heard call the album "dull" lol!
Angel Of Retribution is a perfect example of how Priest and Rob get "fuc?ed" as you put it, for not getting the credit they deserve! HAHA!
But whatever none the less,if you think that it is "dull" than it is dull to you,no worries.I know people who think Painkiller sucks, yet I love it so its all good.

Just came in from a 9 mile run which gave me a lot of time to listen. In the 4:01 "Made of Metal" (song), "Supersonic silver flying machine" is repeated 20 times by my count. The lyrics only list 18.
I also see little to no resemblance between "Heartless" and "Heart of a Lion" save for the fact that Halford sings it, it has some of the same band members playing both and the chorus has the word "Heart" in it.
