One more thing: is this all guitar and guitar synths? If so, it's amazing what can be done today.

I'm listening for the first time right now.  It's hard to describe this as being an album.  The music and the art work are aat a much higher level than other releases.  Epic is the right way to describe it.  When other bands are releasing greatest hits collections and touring on old stuff, Judas Priest has taken a huge risk in releasing such a project.  Thanks for going deeper!

Did anyone else get the free ticket in theirs? I can't go - I"m already traveling to the Vegas show.

Firstly I have to point out that although not a huge Priest fan I love some of the stuff the band have done over the years. In fact one of my fav ever live albums is Unleashed in the East.

I bought Nostradamus as I was intrigued at the idea of a Priest concept album.

Having read the reviews here I'm a little surprised at the mixed response.

Yes it's little different orchestra, keyboards etc etc.

My view on it?

Overall its an awesome CD with some moments of pure brilliance ie Pestilence and Plague,Exiled and Alone to name three.

It's a heavy rock opera,a landmark release?YOU BET!!

This has to be one of the best releases Ive heard in a long time. The perfect amount of opera V Metal. JP have done the story justice without going over the top with theatrics. I am so looking forward to seeing these guys Live for the very first time in September.

I've listened to it 4 times already.  There's so much to wrap my mind around.  Every listen brings something I hadn't caught before.  They truly are musicians in every sense of the word.  I am sorry that I can't accurately describe this piece of work other than to say that it was well worth the wait and that it's the most solid piece of work (start to finish) that I have heard from any band in years.  As a Priest fan since '78, I am truly impressed and couldn't be more pleased.  THANK YOU!!!

Just purchased and am currently listening to Nostradamus, must say...absolutely fantastic. Have bought tickets to the Sydney show and can't wait to see the live show! This album is the ultimate combination of metal and (rock)opera, the mood given to each individual song is unique and is reflected in it's title. Anyone intent on plucking one song on which to review the entire album is going to be so very misguided...this is a masterpeice, so listen to it in its entirety, thank you so much JP.
