its up here that much.  and thats a long way north.  the problem is they shut the refineries, and with the lack of capacity, the shortage of refined product drives it up.

I just now saw the projected course of the hurricane. Seems like it is even going to the north of me and I sit in the top NW corner. Paducah, KT seems to be in the line and that is some 50 minutes to the north. Rich oil fatcats, I say! Heard OPEC was getting together to restrict flow and drive prices higher. Hadn't heard for sure but I guess they did it.

No, I don't own my rig LOL I'm talking about working for the wrong trucking company. There is a lot out there that isn't "common" knowledge. The work laws governing truck drivers have some weird twists to them.
Happy for you that you're making some dough at Dominos (rhymes rhymes rhymes).

DC, maybe, just maybe this will make you feel a little better, gas prices in Slovenia:
  1 gallon:
95 octane 1,187 € /l x 3,8 = 4,51 € = 7,1197 $
98 octane 1,198 € /l x 3,8 = 4,55 € = 7,1810 $
Diesel 1,298 € / l x 3,8 = 4,93 € = 7,7808 $

I live in the U.S. You are/were an independent trucker that owns your rig I gather? That would explain things a little better. Hell, the gas prices alone are enough to give that one up anyways. I know I'm having to weigh the pros, and cons of being a Dominos pizza delivery driver. So far the tips have been worth it.

Anyways, I'm off to bed, but I wish you the best with your situation.

In a normal job yes, it would be hard to swallow. But in the US, with certain occupations like truck driving, different rules apply and a paycheck isn't just about getting paid by the hour and have your taxes and insurance taken out. Unfortunately that is how it is, depending on the companies, and most trucking companies carry more bullshit than they carry freight. If you don't believe me, take a look at the truck driver forums on the web. Working and owing the company you work for because you're forced to ask for money in advance to pay the bills just doesn't cut it. Thank god the nightmare is over.

My post was an exageration, and an attempt at humor to be honest. However they did take alot of money out of my wifes 1st paycheck, and to be honest...I've made more money in tips one night than she did on a three day paycheck.

Your story, if true, is a bit much to swallow. Yeah, I'd be getting a good lawyer, and seeing what could be done legally also. Hope it goes well.

Easily: just have a company policy of deliberate mistakes, "forgetting" to add the weekly medical insurance ladeedas and then remember! when vacation pay time comes.
Receiving a $-100 or a $-75 pay every week used to be the norm in that filthy company.

I'm expecting a certain (bleeped) company to have a class action lawsuit against them sometime in the future.
Does a $-850 paycheck make sense to you? I have lived that way for years. There is far worse out there too.

1st paychecks piss me off!
1. 3 days of training = $134
2. State tax = ridulous amount subtracted.
3. Federal tax = ridiculous amount subtracted.
4. FICA & SS = ridiculous amount subtracted.
5. Uniform cost = $15 subracted.
The final result = ridiculous amount in debt...must wait another 2 weeks, before one actually makes any money!

The fact that I HAD two 7th row tics and was going to take my nephew to see the mighty JP but could not make it home in time due to work over in Africa. I had to get one of my friends to take him and just EAT $280. worth of pure badass. Instead I get to sit on a boat (which I'm still here) for another week and wait 'till the job is done to go home. Talk about pissed off....Of course those in charge don't give a $#!+ and I had told them this MONTHS ago! No JP, no H&H and no Motorhead. Just work offshore, and that is that.!! .......................drag.....................

I'm actually okay with him going back next season...as long as he watches the budget. I've just been so burned out with everything. I spent 11 straight days at the hospital taking care of him. Then when we got home I had to do that AND work. The accident was a month ago and only now am I starting to get my energy back. Still need to write all those thank-you notes.

He can do almost everything himself now. When he figured out how to tie his shoes, I said boy am I gonna miss that metaphor LOL.

on the other hand, if he were to quit now, its because he lacked ability.  where as he can go back and conquor the bike, or decide that its time to hang it up, on his terms.  being forced into anything sucks.  if he can ride, he can decide not to, but if he quits because of a crash, thats damaging to his psyche.
dunno if this made sence, I know what I mean, not how to say it.

What's pissing me off?

What's pissing me off is the fact that I'm not 18 yet so I can't fucking participate in these fuckin cool fuckin contests for fuck's sake!

Here's my idea for the Top 5 list contest.

I give permission to whoever wants to use this list.

Top 5 Most Memorable Moments In A Song:

1. The Hellion

2. Painkiller's drum intro.

3. Living After Midnight's riff.

4. Guitar Solo from Sinner.

5. Opening note of Turbo Lover.

And I think it's a GOOD fucking list too because it's all true! How many of you remember other parts more so then those things I listed?

[guidogodoy] Friday, August 15, 2008 9:31:52 PM
Well....I am have been pissed off most of the day that I am still here at home! Guess I am not making that back to back Pittsburgh / Dallas run.

Ah well, probably for the best but still BURNS me to be sitting on two JP tickets thanks to a bastard who promised to go. Still waiting for him to call back to see when we are leaving. Grrrrr!
[TIMBONI] Friday, August 15, 2008 9:18:51 PM
He's a racer.  You aren't going to take that out of him and you shouldn't want to.  It's part of who he is and why you were drawn to him.  It's a lot more than just the "at the track" part of him too.  Please don't push to take this away from him.  You don't want to deal with the resentments that will result.  Believe me, I know about giving up dreams and it breeds some very deep resentments.

To play the devil`s advocate here. I left the pavement at an accelerated rate in 2003,broke the frame of the bike when it landed. I on the other hand kept flying, which was cool, but the landing was alittle tough!! I broke my wrist, dislocated my left shoulder, severly bruised the right and lost a toenail  (don`t ask!!). No road rash as my gear done it`s job. For a rider that loves tio ride,a get off is just a temporary set back. I`m still blazing trails all over the place!! He`s just ready to bite that dog back is all!!

My husband has a broken shoulder, broken arm, half a dozen broken ribs and a newly-healed punctured lung from a crash on 7/18. I have been taking care of him 24 hours a day ever since.

This weekend he wants to go watch motorcycle racing AT THE SAME FUCKING RACETRACK and then stop by the RV dealership to look at a trailer for next season.

I don't know what to say. I don't even want to think about this.

Had the vip gold experience at Nissan Paillion in VA --was told Priest would play from 9:30 pm til 11:45 pm --11pm came around & they did You've Got Another Thing Comin' & as soon as that song was done they took their bows ( except I didn't see KK ) & then the lights came up ---I was ready to head bang for another 45 mins--don't get me wrong I was just glad to be there but no Diamonds N Rust--no Victim Of Changes --no Headin' Out To The Highway--no Livin' After Midnight --it's not the Priest's fault VA has a stupid noise ordinance law & I guess you can't play Livin' After Midnight when you're made to leave the stage at 11 pm---just needed to vent --Want my 45 minutes of Priest !!!
[PRIESTMAN] Monday, August 11, 2008 5:28:50 PM
PNC art center NJ, setlist cut short by 5 songs Because of Holmdels  bullshit noise ordinance.  Less than an hour and a half of Priest? WTF? PNC's security sucked. How could I miss most of 4 songs from the second row center? Answer! a bunch of drunken idiots trying to get to the stage that were trampling everyone in site including Me and my Wife as security is watching this happen and shrugging his shoulders as I'm telling him to do something about it. And then 4 idiots get past security and get on stage during the concert. Nothing against Priest  this was out of their control , But alot against PNC art center, This was the Worst Priest show ever at PNC and I've seen them in concert Here in the past few years and had a Great time. I've seen them elsewhere and had a Great time. I've been a true fan for 32 years and have always enjoyed their concerts. I have to agree the sound was Great . The meet and greet was a cattle call at best. Don't bring a camera, we'll post the picture on our website for you, OK ,went to see my picture with the band and low and behold it's not there, Nor are alot of fans pictures who paid their good hard earned money. Would I ever pay $400.00 for a ticket with a meet and greet again? NO F--king way. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, I rate this concert at PNC a -2.

Regarding the Masters Of Metal Tour:

What pisses me off about the tour is they put 3 fucking headliners on the same bill and they put the show in Camden of all places! They could've just as easily put the show across the river in Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center, where they would have had a frigging 15,000+ audience and no fucking noise ordinance!  Fucking Live Nation!

The worst part is that I actually know how to do it.  I am clipping a 20 second clip down to 7 seconds to get just the part I want, then going to a 15 second clip of music very intentionally due to the lyrical content then back to the very same clip, but a different 10 second section because of the content of that.  I've gotten as high as a total of one minute and then it just stalls on me and loses the whole thing.  It's all I can do not to beat the shit out of my computer !

It bums me that the south has been left out from the US tour. I thought at the very least they would hit Atlanta or Memphis.

Based on what I heard on rock-line during their interview last weekend it's not looking very promising for the south next year either unless things change. The question was posed if the Nostradamus tour would be something along the line of Pink Foyd's "The Wall" where the dates and locales would be limited. Halford replied that they would hit at the very least the most famous music halls around the world (vague).

Concerts that aren't loud PISS ME OFF!!  When I saw Van Halen, they weren't loud at all, PISSED ME OFF.  Couldn't hear the drums at all, no beat.  They should be ashamed of themselves, esp since I spent over $200 that night on ticket, beer, parking, t-shirt...  Dont get me wrong, I've been to some shows, esp in clubs that are just too freaking loud...  Judas Priest always had great sound, esp in the 80's..  Black Sabbath has AMAZING sound in '05 when Priest opened for them.  Motley Crue also had amazing sound last night here in Dallas!

Mara, did not mean to offend you, I love Rob, the bigfoot comment was a joke, nothing more.
And yes I would love to hear Rob and Ronnie on a duet.

Well, just on the shaving the hair topic that was going on here, when the time comes, I will go fully bald like Rob... Still, as it stands I still got my long hair healthy ;).

My rant is about staying awake until 4h30 am in Portugal to listen to the radio interview at Rockline, call them, wait and wait and wait and finally have to hang up because the show was over. People asked them some good questions but man, all that hard work to listen and participate down the drain...
[guidogodoy] Monday, July 21, 2008 9:34:52 PM
Ok, was playing devil's advocate with that hair business as I have shit long hair. Can't grow a beard to save my life but still, not follically challenged otherwise.

My latest rant is about Ric Ocasek. How did that ugly tool land such a wife? LOL! Wait, this might be better for the old farts' thread....
[Everleigh] Monday, July 21, 2008 5:08:27 PM
Spapad... I know... Rob is "Mr. Fuzzy" if he didn't take some follicle control:) Bigfoot, huh!! Also, one really can't keep all that hair, if one has so many tattoos. On the same topic, Phil Collen and Viv Campbell of Def Leppard also wax.... the results are....mmm.....SINFULLY DELICIOUS!!! And I agree that Ronnie James Dio should be an exception.... I would just explode if he and Rob would duet together.... maybe they have already....

I am getting audited at work all week.  so, instead of preparing for a priest concert on monday, I will be getting told all the things I do wrong.  ah well, the worst that can happen is that I get the rest of the summer off.  but, I dont think I will see much of this site.

KK does that allot lately. From pics. it's growing in right now. I think as men age the chest hair (and other places) just get a little more bushy and Gray than they would like it, and he looks Soooooooo good, so I guess he just rips it out to not have to deal with it. Gives him more chest definition too. OK, all men just cringed at this post! LOL.
I know a man who has such a huge comb over it's comming from the back of his head to the front. I would love to photo it some day just to prove my point!
It's so bad, it's historic!

Nice to meet you

There is definitely some chest-waxing going on here. Definitely KK has done it on occasion, and Glenn...perhaps. Rob-a definite yes.Scott....yup...refer to "bare-chest Thursday"pics on Sinfully Delicious thread:) Don't think Scott does it anymore, now.
[.] Thursday, July 17, 2008 10:44:14 PM
Yes, you have a point but when t's only a little in the front like Ian Hill, shaving the hair all off is horrible and I've seen plenty of guys doing just that. And Ian Hill looks real good, I think even better than a couple of years ago; more fit. There are options to combovers and wigs, like a good up-to-date hairstyle.
A man doesn't necessarily need to do a combover to not have to shave it all off. Rob Halford is one of the few guys that looks good just the way he is. Tattoos and all.
...Speaking of shaving, what has KK Downing done to the hair on his chest? After all, does he or does he not have hair there? Seems like Glenn Tipton has the same issue, let's hope it's not contagious
[spapad] Thursday, July 17, 2008 6:27:34 PM
I agree. I think it is better to be bald than GOD FORBID! have a comb over. Allot of men with bald heads look good that way! Rob does.

I personally think bald men are very attractive! I much prefer that when a guy acknowledges and accepts that he is going to lose his hair...go bald, baby... nothing worse than a tacky comb-over blowing in the wind (or a hairpiece- believe me, gentlemen, we ladies can spot a wig from miles away!!!).Just my opinion, of course...keep it METAL!!
[.] Thursday, July 17, 2008 5:06:26 PM
I find amusing when men shave their heads entirely once they see a few hairs fall on their shoulders. They look like dickheads. Bald penis-heads.
Yes, Rob Halford is a penis-head.

I've been in Iraq for 10 months out of a 15 month tour. Been blown up twice shot at numorous times, and my command sucks. I know I'm on the down hill now, not much longer to go but this does not change the fact that I'm pretty pissed off right now. To top it all off I'm going to miss the JP tour again.

Hey, I thought that this was the gripe thread! What's with all this happiness?

Ok, I'll get this back on topic...It REALLY pisses me off that men reach a certain age when the hair on your head grows much slower than other hair on your body. Sneeze and you risk flogging yourself to death.
